cisco city hall where we are waiting to see if the ruling will come down at 7:00 a.m. this morning. >> thousands, if not millions of people across the country are waiting for this answer. you can see where they stand and you see this flag that is in front. if there is a ruling the city attorney will come out. he will give his comments on the ruling and whether or not it was in his favor or the city's favor or whether not they were against it. back in 2000 prop. 22 was passed and this declined marriages. in 2008 it was overturned and is open the window for a brief time for same-sex couples to get married. they are rushed to city hall and chapels across california to get married. 18,000 same-sex couples were able to get married. this

grounds, which means that gay marriages are only legal and the state of california. the 3rd outcome is proposition 8 is up hill and it will then take a voter initiative to overturn it. the fourth and final scenario, and the one that some court watchers consider most likely is this, the court rules that the group defending proposition they had no legal standing to do so. in effect, sending the case back to a ruling by federal court. >> new this morning. for children under the age of 10 were injured, in a crash on interstate 880 over the weekend. the accident happened sunday night around 10:15 p.m.. the driver of a honda changed planes colliding with another car, then crashed into a traffic camera pole near hacienda avenue. two

shudder through the financial markets yesterday. here is a look at the closing numbers. 100. moves have become standard for the dow for the past week. the dow ended the day down over 200 points, closing at 15,112. the nasdaq fell nearly 40 points to close at 3443. the s&p 500 lost 22 points to close at 1628. we will see how the markets opened as 630. >> a new cnn national poll shows and nearly two-thirds of americans operate the current economy as the poll also indicates a positive trend. the number of those who break the economy is

the golden gate bridge is looking good with an easy trip. this would be southbound traffic with no delays in the northbound direction either. >> there was a problem in petaluma at 1 01 southbound and this is a disabled semi truck that might have struck the center divider. the chp has issued a similar which means said this may be blocked for 30 or more minutes. this will create a huge backup coming into petaluma. right now, it's just a short delay was no reason for you to consider a alternate route. >> walnut creek has hired a new chief to take the helm of its police the permit. the city tapped citrus heights police commander and law enforcement veteran tom chaplin to take on a roll.

mike pelton is live at the daly city bart station with more. >> union reps will have to capitalize on dump the pont de. you are encouraged to ride mass transit and they will be hand out pamphlets about the stalled contract negotiations. there are five labor unions in contracts. workers are concerned about safety and that once stations to be upgraded. they stated that their benefits in their pay is not enough. the contract expires this month and they hope to avoid a strike. they are at a standstill. that would try to bring a resolution but at this point the two sides are far apart. >> they hired tom who is

known for strikes. it seems like they're trying to push us out on strikes. from day one, they refuse to bargain with us. >> you are in a position to do what we need to do. >> we also have a ferry service and there are other options and no one wants to see a strike happen. this is not what the bay area once. we are hoping that we can come to a contract and everyone can agree to. >> i spoke with a representative from the labor union and they stated that they will hold a strike vote on june 25th and that will determine whether not they will go on strike. it is really under clear if they do not reach a deal and the contracts expire. they hope to get more information from bart officials this morning. at this point, the best thing for people to do who are involved is to let them reach their deal.

euthanized. the dog bit nee- phy selu n the head and he was playing with him on monday in a relative's yard. state law says that any dog that kills a human is considered dangerous and can be euthanized. everyone involved agreed including the dog's owner. he is the uncle of the young victim and also a san mattel police officer. at this point, no charges have been filed. >> three people, accused of a string of home burglaries on the peninsula have been arrested. they have been pulled over for traffic stop in mountain view june 13th. an officer spotted suspicious property in the car and police said that the car was linked to a burglary in sunnyvale. police said

>> the los angeles city council has agreed to pay $4.2 million to two women whose truck was shot up by police during the manhunt for cop turned killer christopher and dorner. the council voted yesterday to approve the claims settlement with a 47 year- old margie carranza and her 71 year-old mother, emma hernandez. the women were injured back in february when lapd or riddled their pickup truck. police missed took the truck for one that dorner was reportedly driving. >> the city a richmond has
