walked right by it and when he did chaos broke out. reporters and cameramen running every which way to try and talk with him. when asked about the crash young- doo said that he was sorry in korean. there were a couple of officers nearby but even they couldn't tame the crowd. they yelled for a path to be cleared. at one point a officer get "someone get me a baton." one national photographer said it was worse than michael jackson mobs. young doo had to turn around and go back towards customs where he was again chased down as reporters tried to get information. this is what is sounded like. audiio >>get back! get back!

the 16-year-olds were good friends.and came from an affluent coastal province in eastern china. their parents flew into sfo last night.and they had a briefing from the coroner. >> catherine: one of the many disturbing questions being investigated. did one of the two girls actually survive -- only to be run over by an emergency vehicle? we were told today that it could be a week or more before we know the answer. but let's take a closer look at this video shot by a witness. taken in the first minutes after the crash. again -- it could be days before we know if in fact - one of the victims was killed in the chaos -- run over by an emergency vehicle.

>> catherine: this crash at sfo intensifies. today for example -- the pilots were being questioned. and we learned from the ntsb that the commanding pilot was on his first trip as a flight instructor. >> catherine: we also have some new photos - released by the ntsb. investigators share these with the public.just to give you some idea of what's happening on the scene. the first one shows a couple of those investigators - looking at the carcass of flight 214. the hulking 777 crashed during its landing at sfo saturday.

the remains aren't going anywhere for a while.as investigators gather all the evidence they can. this is another view. and >> catherine: we now know the plane hit a seawall at the end of the runway.and the impact broke off the tail.sending the fuselage bouncing and skidding across the airfield. and we've seen the inside of the plane. broken seats. oxygen masks hanging.some of the passengers had to be cut out of their seats. some were trapped by their seat belts.and others by those broken seats landing on them from the rows in front of them. the pictures of what remains >> pam: of the aircraft, remind us just how lucky most of the passengers were. flight 214 had 307 people on board. two of them died. more than 180 others were taken to various hospitals, most of them to san francisisco general and stanford medical centerof those, 49 suffered serious injuries. as of today, just 17 remain
