yesterday morning near the gazzali's supermarket at 79th and international. the girls father, john webb, says he left her in the car with an adult family member who is mentally disabled. webb went inside the store and when he came back daphne was gone. one witness describes the father's reaction. ." a little scared" a suspect was seen carrying daphne away from the supermarket. she is described as a black or hispanic woman between 30 and 40 years old with long black hair, wearing a light colored top and blue jeans. daphne was last seen wearing orange two-piece pajamas withink socks. the f-b-i is now involved with the search. they are focusing on the area around doolittle park where the family would sometimes visit. we're continuing to follow the latest on the deadly asiana flight 214, here is what we know. clean-up crews at san francisco international airport have begun clearing debris from the runway. federal safety officials say the pilot initally told a flight attendant not to evacuate passengers. people did not begin evacuating the aircraft until 90 seconds later when a fire broke out on the right side of the aircraft. officials say the delay occurred as the pilot made connection with the control tower at the airport. and now -- for the first time, we are hearing some of the many 9-1-1 calls made in the moments after the asiana flight crashed. not only from people who saw the crash, but also from people who had just gotten off the plane. federal safety officials

say, the pilot initially told a flight attendant. not to evacuate passengers from the asiana airlines flight that crash landed at s-f-o. the national transportation safety board said, people did not begin evacuating the aircraft until 90 seconds later, when a fire erupted. occurred as the pilot checked with the tower at the airport. kron 4's charles clifford reports. as the n-t-s-b continues the crash.survivors were able to return to the scene just four days after terrifying accident. this is video with our helicopter partnership with a-b-c 7 news. in it you can see charter buses arriving at the scene and the survivors out on the tarmac observing the wreckage. it is unclear what they were doing although they were accompanied by n-t-s-b agents. while the pilots and crew are under investigation, some of the flight attendants came out publicly to speak at a news conference yesterday. six of the twelve who were on board agreed to speak, but several were overwhelemed by tears. six other attendants remain in the hospital. some of the attendants helped passengers get off passengers could get off the plane. among those injured in the

span of the bay bridge will *not open on labor day weekend as it was originally scheduled. as kron 4's alecia reid reports, officials gave more details about why the decision to delay the opening was made. at its current state, the new bay bridge is safer than the one that cars are driving onbut because of the toll bridge oversight committee says they're not comfortable with opening it to the public until the shear keys are retrofitted. sot - we need to be absolutely certain that the idea we advance is not only one of sound engineering, but also one the public can have confidence in. as simple as it looks now, the retrofitting is more complicated now that we're on the verge of building it. the main challenge is manufacturing the broken bolts. the steel won't get here until late september to mid october. the committee wants to ensure the job is done correctly. sot - since theseolts broke we lost public confidence retrofitting will cost upwards of 15 to 20 million dollars, plus additional costs for replacing or remediating other bolts. but they tell us it is well within the budget. sot - in the hundreds of millions. the question of having adequate funds to pay

>>anny: closing arguments today for the defense in the door zimmerman murder trial in florida. yesterday, the defense wrapped up its case without george zimmerman taking the stand. his attorney say he wanted to testify but felt zimmerman already told his version of what happened in multiple police interviews the nitrate by martin was shot and killed. zimmerman claims he shot margin in self- defense--trayvon marintrtin. the judges also allowing an animation depicting zimmerman version to be used as part of the defense's closing argument. the jury could get the case as early as tomorrow.

>>james: for the first time, lawyers for the colorado theater shooting suspect, james holmes are acknowledging he killed 12 people and wounded dozens more than an ant or rub movie theater last summer. --aurora. the lawyer said holmes was in the middle of a psychiatric episode at the time. that mission was made public on wednesday. his lawyers were trying to argue. holmes should not be restrained during his upcoming trial. holmes has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to more than 160 counts, including murder, stemming from the july 20th theater shooting in aurora last year. prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

skidded down runway 2-8 left. the fuselage came to rest here... just to the south of the runway. the ntsb has now completed interviews with the flight crew and we have a clearer picture of what happened next. google earth the boeing 777 has 8 doors. there are doors 4 on each side of the plane. according to the ntsb, during the crash emergency slides at door 1 right and 2 right deployed...inside the plane that's not supposed to happen. the slides should deploy outside the plane and only if the door is opened. there was a single flight attendant sitting near door 1 right and another near 2 right. both were injured when those slides inflated. at the rear of the plane, there were four flight attendants seated near doors 4 left and 4 right. the ntsb says that 3 of these attendantswere ejected from the rear of the plane during the crash. all three
