protesters for a fourth straight day following the acquittal of george zimmerman. this time authorities were prepared for violent crowds. and a large group of people gathered on the steps at san francisco's city hall to make their voices heard. unlike recent protests, they preached for peace. good morning i'm anny hong thank you for waking up with us this wednesday july 17th. and i'm james fletcher. police we're on high alert as protesters took to the streets for a fourth straight night following the acquittal of george zimmerman. in oakland, police outnumbered the protesters after falling under scrutiny for being unprepared following saturdays verdict. police handed out tickets and made one arrest, a much different scene from monday nights rallies. dozens of officers were stationed at oakland's city hall in full riot gear.

crews were ready to step in when a small group of protestors confronted police. >>james: a toddler in oakland is still missing. and her family says more needs to be done to find her. daphne webb's father says she was kidnapped from his car which was parked outside an east oakland convenient store one week ago. there have been searches for the little girl and new information about her parents. kron 4's terisa estacio talked to daphne's family today.

oakland police are on high alert following the fourth straight night of protestors over the verdict in the george zimmerman trial. a city council meeting was held earlier in the night, and neighbors talked about their concerns following tuesday night's violent protest. they said they do not feel their city is prepared for what *could happen if the violent protests continue. paul figueroa from the oakland police department says officers were prepared with a contigency plan when the verdict came down on saturday. he says police presence has been growing each day, but it is sometimes difficult to control the crowds.

police are asking anyone with videos or photos that can help find more suspects from the attacks on tuesday evening to call the oakland police department. while protesters stayed fairly peaceful last night, a good deal of damage was already done in oakland when more than 250 people took to the streets on monday night. a program called "youth radio" which involves students with media in the downtown area got caught in the violence monday night.

>>james: "flora" on 19th and telegraph had their windows shattered, walls spray painted and one of their employees was attacked. this is a picture of the employee after the attack. he was standing outside trying to protect the restaurant from further damage when a protestor hit him on the head with a hammer. he was blooded and bruised and was sent to the emergency room to be treated for his injuries.

restaurant owners say he is doing ok, and will take a few days off before four jurors from the trial of george zimmerman release a statement to distance themselves from another's comments. juror b-37 gave c-n-n an exclusive interview, explaining why she believed zimmerman was not guilty of murder or of manslaughter. now, andrew spencer reports other jurors say her opinions do not reflect theirs. r protesters across the country have held demonstrations, addressing the role they believe race played in trayvon martin's death. .but juror b-37 doesn't think race had anything to do with it. "just because he was black, and george was spanish or puerto rican.i don't think it had anything to do with this trial." since her exclusive

points. and the s-and-p lost four opening bell is at 6:30. senators at white house to discuss student loans washington - president barack obama has met with a bipartisan group of senators at the white house to discuss reducing interest rates on student loans. interest rates on new subsidized stafford student loans doubled to 6.8 percent on july 1 because congress didn't avert the hike. less than stellar second quarter results for yahoo as sales come in just short of analyst expectations.

south korean pilots of an asiana plane crash are being treated for psychological trauma and injuries caused by the incident. land, infrastructure and transport ministry officials said today that the pilots have been hospitalized in south korea following medical checkups after weekend. the pilots underwent questioning by a u-s and south korean joint investigation team. and while in the u-s south korean officials plan to conduct separate interviews with them. a woman and her 8-year-old son, injured in the crash- landing of asiana flight 214, are suing the airline over the accident. the lawsuit, filed on monday in federal court, accuses the airline of
