a crime in san jose is raising eyebrows. a man was robbed at gunpoint three women. fladeboe reports - it happened right in the heard the san jose state university campus. >> reporter: unnerving and shocking are among the words used by summer school students, staff and faculty in reaction to the news that a man was beaten and robbed here at san jose state on thursday evening. there was still plenty of light when the attack occurred shortly after 8 pm not far from busy clark hall. the adult male victim, who is not a student, says he was jumped by the three women, who approached from behind. one of them brandished a firearm. >> if around 8:0 ft., he was approached by three suspects. he wanted what he described was a handgun. and they removed his property which was described as a laptop. >> many people learned about this from text messaging.

damage. candace martin is suing san bernardino county for 420- thousand dollars. she tear gas canisters set her cabin on fire and deputies let it burn. dorner killed four people during a february rampage that led to a shootout at the cabin. he then killed himself. >> two people who survived the movie theater shootings in aurora, colorado, hope to turn the terrifying memory into a positive one. they're getting married - on the one-year anniversary of the shooting. kirstin davis and eugene han were in the theatre when shooter james holmes opened fire. bullets hit eugene in the hip and the knee as he shielded kristin. it took him months to recover -- 12 people died and dozens were injured. the couple is getting married tomorrow.one year to the day later. the two have known each other since grade school.and say they got closer because of the tragedy.

>> today we're learning that the massive mountain fire buring in southern california is believed to have been quote "human caused." the exact cause is still under investigation as the fire rages for the fifth day. as of right now only 15 percent contained. this is near the town of idle-wild.just west of palm springs. about 6000 people have been evcuated as the fire grows to more than 35 square miles. nearly 3000 firefighters and more than a dozen aircraft are currently working the fire. also two large firefighting aircrafts from the california air national guard are also ready to take to the air. once their help is requested.
