kron 4's justine waldman is here with what you need to know. justine. other transit agencies now have their plans in place. and they want you to start working on your "plan b" for monday. there is no way to tell if it will happen or how long it will last. but here are some other options. we'll start with. bart's shuttle *free bus service. here is a map of the bart stations you can get the bus. el cerrito del norte. walnut creek. concord. dublin-pleasonton. fremont. san leandro. west oakland. some buses stop in west oakland, so you can get off there. others go directly to the transbay terminal in san francisco. those stops in concord and san leandro stops new. if there is a strike on monday, the buses will run from 5 to 8 in the morning.

the evening commute starts at 3pm and takes you back to your orginal location. you must have a round-trip ticket. there is limited free parking at the bart stations. people. passengers waited in long lines very early. during the last strike. to get the bus. bart will charter 95 buses, it was 79 last time. and if the strike drags on. more could be added. san francisco bay ferry. will again offer extra service. from its locations in san francisco, south san francisco, oakland, alameda and vallejo. there will be 13 vessels normal eight. the ferries will leave earlier in the morning. starting at 5am instead of 5:30. and do extra trips across the bay.

the ferry service wants people to get in line as early as possible. you can pay with your clipper card. parking lots filled up fast.so see if you can ride your bike there or get dropped off. a/c transit is ready to roll. buses. but will have it current buses do extra trips. the busiest routes. the lines for buses were long in the morning and evening hours. during the first strike. so a/c transit also is suggesting to get to the stops early. if you have to drive. start to talk to yourworkers about a carpool. on the bay bridge, carpool hours are extended from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. a carpool is three or more people in the car. you must have a fastrak.to use the carpool lane when crossing bridges. but you will get a discounted toll. having fastrak will also save you some time at the toll plazas. any other advice? talk to you boss about

electrical jolt. alyssa chin has the story. mid-afternoon, on post, 350 soldiers were outside for a training exercise. this was about 2 and half miles south of butts army airfield. at about 2:45 - a lightning strike and in a split second, a dozen soldiers are injured. "they were in a large open area where there was no other vegetation, just a large field area and there was a lightning strike that happened real close to them." training had already been postponed before the strike, and the men and women rushed to take shelter. i'm told the 12 who were injured were about 65 feet from getting to safety when the lightning hit. whether or not training was stopped soon enough, is now under investigation.
