there is still no bart deal this morning. but negotiations will resume at 10 a-m this morning. now there is only one day left for bart and the unions to agree on a new contract. the current extension expires sunday at midnight. if that happens workers have promised to resume their strike. last night union leaders say both sides left the bargaining table before eight o'clock with not much progress made. but bart's chief negotiator, thomas hock, says the two sides did exchange proposals. deal yet, he's not losing hope. >> everyone is working hard

discrimination lawsuit against wal-mart. female employees of the retail giant attempted to file the class action suit here in san francisco. they claim their male colleagues are paid more and promoted faster. this suit is a scaled-down version of an initial complaint representing one nationwide. the judge says this current version of the suit is still too broad. one day after she bravely faced in court, the man who held her captive for a decade. michelle knight retuned to that same neighborhood where she was forced to stay for years. against her will. paul kiska has the story. meantime, ariel castro will die in prison. a judge sentenced castro thursday to life in prison. plus one- thousand years. three young women captive for nearly a decade.

people in 16 states are now suffering from a rare stomach illness. and officials say the outbreak is growing. there have been more than 400 confirmed cases of cyclo-spora across the midwest, the south and north-east. it's caused by a parasite that's difficult to detect because it's so small. the f-d-a traced cases in iowa and nebraska to a salad mix from a mexican farm. it was served at olive garden and red lobster restaurants in those states. but the source of the illnesses in the other 14 states remains a mystery. the stock market finished on a high note yesterday, erasing an early loss. the dow rose 30 points. the nasdaq rose 13 points.
