one victim is recovering in san francisco general hospital. so far there are no arrests in the attack. >>one person fatally injured in solo collision by bay city news service injured in a solo vehicle collision on state highway 29 near american canyon in napa county this morning, according patrol. based on an initial report, the vehicle was traveling at about 90 mph on state highway 29, just south of jameson canyon road at about 4:50 a.m. when the collision occurred, according to the chp. and was fully engulfed in chp. vehicle was declared deceased at the scene of the collision and the their identification hasaccordi under investigation. a total of 210 people were arrested. and one for richmond. thousands gathered to commemorate the first refinery fire. and the city of richmond recently announced plans to

so far. the quake was centered near fukushima - the same north- east region of the country devastated by a tsunami two-and-a-half years ago. the fukushima plant went into melt-down in 20-11, and tons of water are still being used to keep its reactors under control. some roads in the area are blocked today and trains shut down temporarily for safety checks. forecasters say a tropical storm in the pacific is starting to fall apart. tropical storm *gil is centered nearly 22-hundred miles south-east of hawaii. but experts say gil is expected to continue weakening over the next couple days. meanwhile, forecasters report a 'tropical depression' about 12-hundred miles west of baja. it's generating winds of up to 35 miles an hour, but there are no coastal watches or warnings currently in effect. milan >>one of the unusual aspects of the u-s deciding to close many embassies and consulates is that it came

with a specific date attached -- sunday. that action is closely watched to see if there will be a terrorist reaction. >>first the warnings. now the waing. us embassies and consulates across the middle east, north africa, and south asia are closed sunday in case terrorist threats turn into attacks. the move came after officials picked up increasing chatter from al qaeda in yemen, where multiple sources tell cnn an attack plan could be in its final stages. >>"well, the numbers are so big that i can't go into it other than the fact it definitely is planned a very enormous attack, a catastrophic type attack. that's probably the best way to describe it. and i can't really go any further than that." the threat is considered credible though ambiguous-- it could target us or western targets all across the region, though yemen is getting particular attention-- with security around the us embassy there even tighter

four people are hospitalized. police say two of those victims are in criticala community in south carolina today is mourning small plane crash. myrtle beach. a witness called 9-1-1 after seeing smoke and fire from the crash site. the f-a-a says the plane hit some power lines while trying to return to the airport shortly after the ground. investigation team. a passenger injured during a hard landing at laguardia airport is suing southwest airlines. this was the scene last month after the landing gear under the plane's nose collapsed. an attorney for jacqueline young says she suffered from sliding down one of the plane's emergency ramps. no one was at the bottom to authorities say 10 of the 150 people on board suffered minor injuries. a southwest representative said the company could not comment on the pending lawsuit. twitter says it's handing down new rules to control abusive language. it is introducing a one- click button to report abuse and updating its rules to clarify that >>"they do not tolerate abusive behavior." this comes after several high-profile british women reported receiving a flood of harassing, or

hot topic for discussion. democrats are getting the new law. they say the work is daunting-- still they feel they have an edge over their republican counterparts in next year's elections. but republicans have their own strategy. they plan to use the politically polarizing health care law and slow economic growth against democrats in the 2014 congressional elections. san diego's embattled mayor is beginning two weeks of full time therapy. bob filner is also facing a sexual harrassment lawsuit and calls for his therapy tomorrow for what the mayor has described as years of inappropriate behavior toward women. filner is accused of sexually harassing at least nine women. longtime therapists question how much progress filner can make in those two weeks. filner denies his actions constitute sexual harassment, but has apologized for his actions. a planned power plant implosion leaves five injured in bakersfield. you're looking at a video of that implosion. officials say one man was hit with shrapnel that left one leg partially severed and the other severely injured. he was standing one thousand feet away from the site at the time. police say the other two victims were treated for minor injuries. las vegas police are investigating a crash

between a pick-up truck and a limousine that injured as many as 16 people last night police say just after 10 p- m. the driver of the pick- up lost control, plowed through the median and struck the limo head-on. four people are hospitalized. police say two of those victims are in critical condition. a community in south carolina today is mourning three people killed in a small plane crash. it happened yesterday near myrtle beach. a witness called 9-1-1 after seeing smoke and fire from the crash site. the f-a-a says the plane hit some power lines while trying to return to the airport shortly after takeoff. no one was hurt on the ground. the national transportation safety board is sending an investigation team. a passenger injured during a hard landing at laguardia airlines. this was the scene last month after the landing gear under the plane's nose collapsed. an attorney for jacqueline
