able to. there were still paralyzed with safety concerns, salary coming negotiations and pension requests. they however, are still saying that if they are making requests to grant the cooling off period of 60 days. that would possibly avoid the interruption of service. >> we try to keep everything in the ring. and i am assured that all freak--all of to-unions and the third party are trying to get everything together. with all-both unions. >> we do not want to put the bay area through this with $180 million in concessions. with increased workloads we're fully expecting bart to propose a

apparently lost control and hit a tree. all five passengers involved were young men between the ages of 17 and 19. it is unknown whether speeding or alcohol were involved. one passenger was ejected from the car. a san jose police officer says two victims were pronounced dead at the scene. >> shortly before midnight received calls about a traffic accident. near rio grande. the vehicle lost control, was traveling in a high rate of speed and hit a tree. the five passengers were in the car and unfortunately, two of the passengers were pronounced deceased. the other three were taken at the hospital. the remaining are expected to survive however one remains in critical condition. >> a toxicology report is being done. talks abouts details of the accident an accident reconstruction team is working on investigating the crash.

police say a toxicology report will also be done. >> marty: all westbound lanes of highway 580 in oakland are reopened after a collision this morning. the crash was reported around 2:30 a-m just west of the 14-th avenue off- ramp. it shut down the west side of the freeway for more than an hour. police say one of the cars involved went off the road. a sig alert was issued for the area when the c-h-p blocked off all lanes to search for the car. no one was seriously injured in the crash. >> after an agonizing week of waiting, hoping and praying 16-year-old hannah anderson will be reunited with her family today. her father brett anderson is enroute to an idaho hospital where she is under evaluation. hannah was rescued from the idaho wilderness yesterday afternoon. her alleged captor james dimaggio, a family friend is suspected of kidnapping hannah - killing her mother and her brother and burning his house down. investigators say an f-b-i agent shot and killed dimaggio as they tried to arrest him. >> "special agents with the hostage rescue team, along with salt lake city division of the fbi, observed hannah and the suspect near moorhead lake

at a campsite. agents moved in to rescue hannah. the suspect is deceased." >> "this was a homicide suspect that was in a very rugged area and we had a 16-year-old girl. we have to look at the tactical issues. it is certainly a complex search." >> marty: in all, some 250 law enforcement personnel - including about 150 fbi agents - helped locate hannah anderson in idaho. now the f-b-i is saying the entire operation will now be reviewed by a team from washington. >> marty: the search is still on for missing oakland woman sandra coke. authorities say, a woman's body was found in vacaville friday but they have not released her i-d. coke, who is a federal investigator, went missing last sunday. police say she was seen in the company of her long- time ex-boyfriend on the day of her disapearance. he is identified as 56-year- old randy alana. police have named him a person of interest in the case. alana is a registered sex offender. he was arrested on an unspecified parole

>> marty: firefighters expect to have the so called "sharp fire" fully contained by this evening. the fire has scorched 30 square miles in the mountains east of los angeles. it destroyed 26 homes. crews made steady progress against the blaze yesterday and had it 70 percent contained. the fire injured ten firefighters and seriously burned a mountain biker who was overrun by the fast- moving flames. the fire forced the

evacuation of 18-hundred people, including 800 campers. evacuation orders for several communities still remain in effect. >> the cleanup continues in flood-ravaged manitou springs, colorado. officials say several homes are destroyed -- others are significantly damaged. the town mayor says there was not a lot warning before the flood waters rushed through downtown friday. he credits businesses and restaurants for reacting quickly and helping people reach safety. the town's police chief describes the extent of flood damage. >> "i'm sorry to say, and my heart goes out to the families and businesses that sustained the damages. we had six buildings that were declared unsafe to enter, and actually, two of them are buildings that were declared unsafe in our july 1st event. it's obvious that they sustained more damage, but because they were unsafe then, they are still unsafe now." >> marty: authorities have also recovered the body of one man from the mudslide debris that swept through the town. a search continues for

mandatory. it should go to the court and the judge will make an injunction if this could find that it will disrupt public transportation and also jeopardize the economic welfare of the city. of course, this would. very little wiggle room. and neither party has come to an agreement. the reason why they came to an agreement to consider a cooling off period. because they will waste a lot of money. >> exactly we are likely to see these changes. with a settlement or a cooling off. will go into effect. >> exactly. why >> marty: are these sides so far apart?

>> i think that it comes down to contracts and timing. here, we had the last they made concessions at that point. with over $100 million and now, in 2013, because of the economic recovery. they want to share but unfortunately, this economy is not growing. it is not a quite robust economy that they want to share. that is part of the relations problem that the union is having now. when we talk about these things and it seems to make sense but in this particular context the unions are not happy with their wages. and also their hair carhealth care costs. and also, what the workers are making. it creates a sentiment of what it would normally have been a normal

contract negotiation. >> marty: let us go back to the governor stepping into this and this seems like other civic leaders to not want to get involved. yeah, governor jerry brown is getting involved wide to the politicians have gotten away from the negotiations? >> i think that it is important for government to make sure that the strike does not happen. clearly, the public does not want it for the economy. and it is still, a fragile economy. and why the others to not jump and it is a question of two different things. the unions contribute a lot of money and that does not necessarily mean that it is going to purchase anything but access. but the fact that we are in a state of turbulence. many of these political advisers are going from one office to the next

public office and did not want to jeopardize that reelection. and also our primary systems change. that means in a heavily democratic area like that the area is likely to have a runoff between two different democrats is much more likely. with out a republican involved in the worst time to " kiss and make up " a primary here, there is not that time. the union is of against the same democrats that they chose the first time. they do not have that " kiss and make up " time on the second go round. essentially, they have already made a decision that they are impacting the economic outcome of this situation and they do not know if they want to have a political ramifications from their involvement. michael,

>> marty: in connecticut, federal investigators are trying to figure out the cause of a plane crash that killed at least four people on friday. officials say the small aircraft crashed upside down into two homes friday morning and burst into flames. it's believed two children - age one and 13 were killed inside the house. a lead investigator for the n-t-s-b says air traffic with the pilot moments before the plane went down. >> i know that the tower past if the pilot requested clearance and the pilot said ga however, the pilot -- was

provided clearance from the tower. >> marty: a relative said ex-microsoft executive bill henningsgard and his son were on board the plane. this isn't henningsgaard's first crash. records show he ditched a small plane in a washington state river in 2009 after his engine quit. officials say only two bodies have been identified, the pilot and a one-year- old found in the basement of the home. >> police are focusing on aaron hernandez's girlfriend in the search for the murder weapon that killed odin lloyd. police are investigating shayanna jenkins' possible involvement in hiding a weapon for hernandez. the bristol press reports that search warrants suggest hernandez may have asked jenkins to take a gun safe or lock box out of his home the day after lloyd's body was found. search warrants say jenkins may have dumped weapons in the woods or taken them to a storage facility paid for by hernandez in connecticut. jenkins has not responded to questions about the

terisa estacio, kron 4 news. >> marty: a young girl and a man riding in a horse-drawn carriage were injured in a collision near petaluma yesterday. police say an 11 year old and carriage when the horse was spooked and took off running at full speed. the owner of the horse tried unsuccessfully to stop the horse.which ran into a city traffic sign, causing the driver to be ejected. meanwhile, a motorist on east washington street saw the horse running down the middle of the road with the girl on board. the driver pulled his vehicle in front of the runaway carriage, causing the horse to eventually stop. >> the trucks of what was happening. and of course, the carriage >> marty: ."the back seat" the girl suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital. police say the driver's actions likely prevented the

week of waiting, hoping and praying 16-year-old hannah anderson will be reunited with her family today. her father brett anderson is where she is under evaluation. >> we will still have to bury family members but the unbelievable fate that my granddaughter is coming home. >> reporter: hannah was rescued from the idaho wilderness yesterday afternoon. her alleged captor james dimaggio, a family friend is suspected of kidnapping and her brother and burning his house down. investigators say an f-b-i agent shot and killed dimaggio as they tried to arrest him. >> this was the most horrible thing that you could ever imagine doing. and knowing that he was still out there. >> reporter: they do not want her to ever have to return to that home. >> no matter what they were doing, they were together but is going to be tragic for her to push through. >> reporter: is in a hospital under evaluation and the father is on his way
