so you could almost fit two san franciscos into the fire still expanding tonight in the stanislaus national forest. happening now. the coun down to the shutdown of the bay bridge. now just six days left until the temporary closure. here are the details you need to know. all lanes in both directions will close at 8:00- pm on wednesday night, august 28th. workers will then transition the old roadway to the new if all goes correctly -- the bridge will re-open five days later. on tuesday, september third at 5:00 am -- the day after labor day. today some temporary structures are being prepped so the bike path and pedestrian bridge will be ready in time for opening day. kron4's maureen kelly gives us an upclose look. >> only on 4 -- reaction

we're always tracking neighborhood crime. tracker in fairfield. police are investigating multiple reports of an intruder entering people's bedrooms. here's where it's happening in fairfield. along utah street and pennsylvania avenue just north-west of downtown. incident was in late july. then another prowler sighting this past sunday. in both cases.residents were asleep.then woke up to find the suspect standing in their bedroom. when confronted, the suspect calmly walked out of the homes. police say it's a white or hispanic man, 20 to 30 years old, about 5'9, with a wide build and short hair.
