oakland police are trying to figure out what happened in a accident that killed a two-year-old child. he investigators say the child's mother was selling fruits out of her truck in front of 8-45 embarcadero while the toddler played in the parking lot. the driver of a mid sized suv may not have seen him and hit the 2 year old. police say it doesn't appear the driver was going very fast.

the parking lot was damaged by a fire about a month ago and the building is no longer occupied. we begin tonight with developing news out of oakland. where a toddler has been killed. the driver did remain at the another incident of "distraction burglary" has struck again. it happened on tuesday in san carlos where a man posing as a roofing contractor approached a resident at his home on elm street. the alleged roofer told the man he had completed a

roofing job nearby and had some leftover materials that he could use to repair the roof. while the resident joined the alleged roofer on the roof-- two other thieves entered the home and went through personal items. this comes on the heels of thieves posing as p-g-and-e workers and animal control. police are searching for two men who robbed a house in san leandro last week. this is home security video showing the two suspects. police say, they have noticed an uptick in daytime burglaries. and believe the two are responsible for several of the burglaries in the area. the suspects casually ring the doorbell. and when no one answers, they sneak around to the side of the house and break in --- stealing jewelry and other items. police say, home security systems are relatively inexpensive and can provide important evidence for police. a key senate committee has approved president obama's proposal for limited military strikes in syria over that country's use of
