hit and run after his maintenance vehicle stuck and killed a woman at holly park. toss pfftpolice say the driver drove off after the collision yesterday afternoon, but he and the truck was found a few minutes after the police arrived. the 35-year-old woman was on the grass on the south end of the park with her child when she was struck. the child was not injured but saw the whole accident happen.

many residents in the area have complained about increase of recreation and park vehicles in the park. and they also say they are driving too fast. the weekend ahead will be the first since the opening of the new span of the bay bridge. combine that with a giants and a's homestand, a 49ers game, and the america's cup. and you can expect some big crowds. kron4's scott rates looks ahead to the busy weekend. poured for the foundation of san francisco's new transbay transit center. the new center will occupy a total of four blocks in the city's south of market neighborhood. it's set to open in 20-17. the new transbay center will connect 11 different transit systems. these include the proposed high- speed rail line planned from southern california. low income residents in santa clara county can now take public transportation at a discounted rate.

the emergency assistance network will give out $25 monthly passes to qualified applicants. normally, the v-t-a charges $70 for a monthly pass. to qualify, residents must earn $11,490 or less per year. the pilot plan, called the transit assistance program, is funded through a grant from the metropolitan transportation commission. former new england patriot aaron hernandez is set to be arraigned today on a first- degree murder charge following his indictment in the killing of a friend. a grand jury indicted hernandez last month in the death of 27-year-old odin but sister of hernandez's girlfriend. hernandez was arrested back in june and pleaded not guilt to murder and weapons charges. hernandez is currently being held in jail without bail. the arraignment is scheduled for 11 a-m our time. george zimmerman has not
