certainly keep this in mind. south on 1 01, the golden >> a three -alarm fire at a west oakland church caused 900- thousand dollars in damage. the flames broke out at the zion first church of god in christ. on eighth street. it took firefighters about 40- minutes to get the blaze under control. one firefighter suffered a minor injury. and was treated at the scene. the cause of the fire is under investigation. fire crews in southern california are fighting a brush fire that ignited monday in los angeles county. flames and smoke were first spotted in the san gabriel canyon area in azusa. firefighters call this the madre fire and say it's spreading quickly toward the angeles national forest.

police say, she was playing outside with other children. when she ran into the street after a ball. the accident happened on jimno avenue. at around 6- pm. police say, speed and alcoholdo not appear to be a factor. the child was taken to oakland's children hospital. suffering from serious injuries. kron4's john fenoglio shows us the scene of the accident. >> you concede police officers are still out here. this child was 2 years old and she was transported to the hospital where she remains in critical condition. i spoke with the child's aunt and she stated that the child of vital signs are looking good. right now we contended that the driver is cooperating with police but for now this is an active criminal investigation. >> >> tragedy at an east bay middle school in byron. last night, a candlelight vigil was held in memory of 12- year old burgess hu.

the little boy was run over and killed while riding his bicycle. hu was hit monday morning outside excelsior middle school in byron. the driver. had just dropped off her own children. police say, she was pulling out of the school when she ran over hu. his friends are remembering the 12-year old boy. line as soon as someone stated that it was a child that was hit we immediately knew who it was. >> he was amazing. i played with him. he was always funny. every time i saw him he was smiling. >> he made everyone laugh. he made it better for us. >> he made it happy. >> at this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed against the driver. officers say it appears this was an accident. >> we will not said check

san mateo bridge is always a good option. remember we have seen heavy backups pretty much every day. if you are leaving your house on right now this is a good option for you. the drive time is 12 to 30 minutes. for those of you head into the golden gate bridge. it is not as clear as it was yesterday. we do not have any accidents to report. >> bart and its unions returned to the bargaining table yesterday, but made little progress. now, just 16 days remain, until a cooling off period ends and workers have the ability to go back on strike if the dispute is not resolved. in the meantime, riders are already feeling the pinch. frustrated union members are signing up for less overtime, and as a result, -- bart can't repair its trains fast enough. as kron 4's dan kerman reports, that means fewer trains and more >> if you're train is are running late. for several

weeks now bart has been running fewer trains. we first told to about this and at one point they were running 62 fewer cars. we're now finding out that the problem is continuing. 16 fewer cars on wednesday. 26 fewer cars on friday. today, 14 fewer cars. this means set anywhere from 1 to 10 trains are running short. bart's stated that they cannot keep up with this because it's your millworkers are mauldin this dispute and they are not signing of to do any overtime. they stated is not enough of them that are signing up in the cannot repair them fast enough. how long this is expected to continue they are hoping that they individually catch

10:15 p.m. when the police received a call about a shooting on 82nd ave. when they arrived at the scene and this is exactly what they discovered. they also must that two suspects had fled to the scene. when that were fleeing the scene oakland police stated that this is not a pursuit. they ran a red light and unfortunately this slammed into a second car and this car was turned over and unfortunate, killing the driver of that vehicle. and we can tell you that the two suspects were taken into custody oakland police. and there identification has might yet been released. at this point we are not sure what they're being charged with but also we have no motive for the shooting at this time. obviously, a tragic accident that ended in someone's life
