the solo- car crashed into the center divide and then caught on fire. a sig-alert was issued at 12:16 a.m. with the on-ramp blocked by the fiery car. c-h-p officers say the driver managed to get out of the car but was then taken to san francisco general hospital. the driver is expected to survive. the sig alert was lifted just before one a-m when the >> in santa monica, a twin engine airplane crashed into a storage handlegar, killing those on board. it happened yesterday afternoon after the landing jet veered off to runway at the santa monica airport. the crash also started a large fire.
