after 7-pm on highway 121. a jaguar driven by a suspected drunken driver veered into a toyota corolla. the passenger of the jaguar died at the scene and the driver has major injuries. two people in the toyota, a 26-year-old man and a 5- year-old girl also sustained major injuries. what one businessman is doing to help shoppers feel safer on the streets of oakland's chinatown. and campbell police release a video that they hope will help catch the shooter at a nightclub this weekend. a city supervisor floats his idea for a tax on sugary drinks -- in front of the board. we have new information -- and a response from the beverage industry in hopes of making shoppers feel safer on the streets of oakland's chinatown, a local businessman is bringing in private security. kron 4's dan kerman has

their music in the parking lot. that's when one of the men reportedly shot the nightclub employee. police say the group ran off -- and they have not been arrested. the employee was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. fact fog residents of the six alarm fire at an apartment complex in redwood city two weeks ago are getting some help. dozens of people lost their homes.witnesses say people were screaming and running through hallways trying to get out. back in july another six- alarm fire happened just a

mile away. and that fire displaced a hundred people and killed one person. one resident who survived both fires has a very positive outlook for the future. you can use the old videos of the two previous fires and super them with a date. both videos in 11pm rundown tonight, those residents are getting some help. including one person who survived *both fires.

we are back at 415. some national news this morning. state police in south carolina are investigating the deaths of six people in what's being described as a murder-suicide. authorities found the victims, including two children, inside this greenwood county home. the sheriff's office says the killings were the result of a domestic dispute. the suspect, who police say had a history of violence, reportedly called the sheriff's office saying he was feeling "edgy." when officers arrived at the home to investigate they found the victims and suspect dead. >>anny:many residents in the northeast marked the one year anniversary of hurricane sandy. they lit candles and sang songs in union beach, new jersey. remembering when sandy crashed ashore last year.

also it was determined that the boy suffered from mental issues including suicidal thoughts. his attorney asked that he be released on house arrested. the boy's parents say they have put alarms on all the door. the 11-year-old is expected back in court next month.
