>> here is a live look from our mount tam cam. you can see clear skies. as we take a look at the temperatures it will be a very mild. san francisco will be close to 60 degrees 57 out the door in san jose. as we advance you will notice that the temperatures will be pretty similar to what we saw yesterday. most locations will be in the '60s but we may see a few 70's. you can expect mostly cloudy conditions pretty similar to what we saw yesterday. we will add on the 10% chance for shoppers. you will see just how close the system will get but it is already starting to dissipate. future cast 4 shows some rain hitting the bay area.

that we are seeing are coming from the east shore freeway. it is very quiet for those of you jumping on the nimitz. >> the san mateo bridge is looking good. there are no problems. as we take a look at the golden gate bridge, southbound 101 the lanes are completely cleared and we do not have any issues with fog. the visibility is looking pretty good and the drive time is 23 minutes into the city. >> crews will begin taking apart the old eastern span of the bay bridge today. the start of the first phase of dismantling. is set for 10 this morning. 14 -hundred feet of the upper deck will be removed during this first phase. this is all being done east of yerba buena island, on the cantilever section of the span. bay bridge officials say, the first phase will take about six- weeks to complete. >> the devastation. unbelievable. just days after one of the

>> defense secretary chuck hagel has ordered the u-s-s george washington to the philippines to help with recovery from typhoon haiyan. the aircraft carrier has five - thousand sailors and more than 80- aircraft onboard. hagel is sending additional u-s navy ships to the philippines as well. and u-s marines are already in the philippines to help distribute the aid. officials are concerned the death toll could rise sharply due to outbreaks of disease and the lack of food and water. >> southern china is now bearing the brunt of what's left of super typhoon haiyan. at least eight people have been killed. china national radio says the storm caused up to seven-hundred million dollars in damage to the agricultural, forestry, poultry and fishing industries. haiyan was downgraded to a tropical storm after it made landfall in northern vietnam yesterday. the storm killed at least six people in vietnam. more than half-a million were evacuated to higher ground ahead of the storm. lineremember stay with kron- 4 for the latest on the typhoon relief effort. if you'd like to help -- you can find out how on kron-4-

tsa officer los angeles - u.s. attorney general eric holder is among the officials expected to speak at a memorial service to honor the transportation security administration officer who was gunned down at los angeles international airport. the tribute to gerardo hernandez is being held tuesday morning at the los angeles memorial sports arena. acting homeland security secretary rand beers is also scheduled to attend. hernandez is the first tsa officer killed in the line of duty. authorities say a gunman with a rifle and a rant against the tsa pulled the gun out of a bag and shot the 39-year-old father of two on nov. 1. two other tsa officers and a teacher were wounded before airport police wounded the gunman. paul ciancia remains hospitalized and has been charged with crimes that could get him the death penalty. >> lawyers for boston marathon bombing suspect dzhokhar tsarnaev are headed to court tuesday to ask a judge to ease restrictions placed on him in prison as he awaits trial. tsarnaev's lawyers argued in a motion filed last month that so-called "special administrative measures" are impairing their ability to defend him. the measures are often used in terrorism cases and restrict access to the mail, the media, the telephone and visitors.

so far, so good we have not seen any wait at the pay gate. the san mateo bridges off to a good start but we're starting to see more cars. the golden gate bridge is still quiet with no problems with the visibility. you may need to use your windshield wipers driving out of san francisco. the east shore freeway is looking good and no problems for the nimitz freeway. >> the public transit is not reported any delays for ac transit or board. >> the proposed waterfront arena to house the warriors keeps shrinking. and that still might not be enough for those opposed to the project. designers have shaved down the roof line. and added open green space and public they've also moved the entrance to the proposed parking garage to help ease possible congestion on game
