as can you see from earlier today in richmond, look at those flags blowing in the wind. it's been fairly breezy. really depending on where you are. satellite this evening is showing that is pushed down to the south. it's because of this storm where it's placed and where the high pressure's placed that we're seeing these strong winds and it will continue into tomorrow. wednesdays are in the 20-mile an hour range in a number of places. we're seeing gusts stronger know that that, 30s if not 40s. 20-mile an hour winds in santa rosa, and 29 in vallejo, and 22 in concord. 6:00-hour, shoefing the-hour, and into the 10:00-hour we'll see winds along the coastline and in the same spots we're seeing now. the overnight hours we're going to have a concern to think about

here. the winds, if they stay gusty, through the 5:00-hour, keeping the winds consistent. that means temperatures will not drop. but if the winds do die down, we will see temperatures drop pretty dramatically because it's pretty dry out there. you can see very solid, consistent winds. temperatures will be in the 50s through the overnight hours compared to the south bay where it's pretty calm. we'll see temperatures in the upper 30s and low 40s. as we move through the rest of the day t stays pretty breezy up through the north bay. the delta, inland valleys and the immediate coastline, wind advisory wind gusts up to 40, wind gusts up to 50 and like all these wind events, downed trees and power lines likely to occur. if it stays windy, temperatures will stay warm, they could even

be warmer than this. if the winds die down, temperatures will drop significantly. in the south bay, calmer winds, low 40s, upper 30s there. for the afternoon we'll be seeing temperatures if the upper 60s, even 70 degrees in santa rosa a. low 60s at the coast. a look at your extended forecast, windy tomorrow, calmer into the weekend and early next week. but by wednesday into thursday, rain looking likely. the timing would be oh, about 8:00, 9:00 on wednesday until about 10:00 on thursday. so a very fast moving storm. but we should see about a half an inch of rain bay area wide. a mercedes pulled from a water way in the bay area and a man's body found inside in richmond today at a private marina. a person called 911 this morning saying part of a car was sticking out of the water, and several agencies responded. one of the main goals was to control that car's fuel. it could be seen in the water. you see some of it right there,

a small aircraft are considerably more vulnerable like the windstorms like we had today. earlier today, we were on the ground at an east bay airport as the crews made preparation for the strong winds. >> reporter: with a high winds warning in the forecast in the bay area, there's a rush to make sure that 432 small single engine airplanes like this one here at the hayward airport are secured on the ground before the wind comes blowing in. the airport's manager explains why. >> small single engine airplanes move about 2,200 pounds and they move in the wind and they can be relocated if it's windy enough. you obviously want to tie the airplane down with tie down ropes and chalking it with wooden walks on the wheels. >> if the wind in the forecast exceeds the safety provided by tying the aircraft to the

martinez, 36, san francisco twin peaks, 30-mile an hour gusts. wind advisory is in effect. winds will shrink overnight. the areas in blue, those are the areas that are going to be impacted by the wind overnight. into the 10:00-hour, it's still staying gusty and overnight, the winds picking up at the coastline, also through the livermore valley, concord, staying windy through the north bay. because we're going to see these winds overnight in the north bay, temperatures will stay warmer than they otherwise would. there's no way for the temperatures to drop down into the 30s if the winds stay gusty. if there's a lull in the wind for a couple of hours we could briefly hit those low temperatures. i don't think it's going to happen. future cast does not show it happen. it shows the winds staying pretty solid through the morning hours and then later morning hours starting to die down a little bit especially south of the golden gate but remaining gusty through the north bay hills. wind advisory in effect is in effect until 10:00 tomorrow for the hills, for those valleys, it

will expire at 10:00 in the morning. wind speeds will be up to 40 miles an hour, gusts up to 50 and it's possible we could see downed trees and power lines. now again, the temperatures is at the door tomorrow. you'll notice the south bay in the 40s, and upper 30s in the south bay. but for the north bay in the upper 40s and low 50s, it could be warmer than that. they do not allow temperatures to cool off. so again if you do see a lull in your neighborhood, temperatures will be cooler than that, but i don't think it's going to happen. a look at our afternoon highs. a lot of 60s and 70s tomorrow, remaining in the low 60s. coast side to the upper 60s nearly everywhere else. your extended forecast, windy tomorrow, calmer into the weekend and next week. but by wednesday and thursday now looking likely that we will see a storm. the time frame looks to be about 8:00 on wednesday to 10 a.m. on thursday and most locations
