it is unknown when the >> president barack obama is coming to the city by the bay today. this is video of the president's last visit to the bay area in june. the president will speak at the betty ann ong chinese recreation center in chinatown. during his visit. mr. obama will also participate in two democratic party events. for 500- dollars, the public can attend one event at the new s-f jazz center in hayes valley. the other is a private function - a tech roundtable at the home of salesforce- dot-com c-e-o marc benioff. >> the naacp will hold a press conference at san jose state university today to address and condemn the accused actions of four students suspended for hate crimes against their roommate. the organization is calling for the santa clara county da's office to increase misdemeanor charges to felonies and add false imprisonment to the list as well.

they will also be asking the school to conduct a thorough investigation into san jose state's university housing to figure out why it took so long for this to be brought to light. according to police, those caucasian students hung a confederate flag in their dorm room, barricaded their african american roommate inside and forced a u- shaped bicycle lock around his neck. there will also be a rally at the san jose state at noon. >> we now have more information about the man who tried to catch a woman jumping from the stands at a raider game. police say he does not want to be named, but is a 61 year old retired marine and a life-long raiders fan. he is still hospitalized with an upper body injury after trying to break the woman's fall. according to investigators, the woman, who has not been identified, jumped from section 301 an area closed to the public deputies say it happened about 15 minutes after the game ended a group of fans in the section below 301 were

asking her not to jump. >> when she went off the top, we tried to save her. this is jim got injured himself. >> the woman fell at least 45 feet investigators would not say if alcohol was a factor >> there have been several incidents of fans being hurt. and even killed during falls at sports stadiums. the most recent incident happening monday when a buffalo bills fan fell while sliding on a railing. he fell down to the section below but survived. two months ago at candlestick park, a 49ers fan died on the walkway franciso stadium. and you may remember back in july of 20-11 a texas rangers fan died when he fell down 20 feet head first into a concrete walkway while trying to reach for a baseball. >> the knockout game could be spreading to san francisco. that's where thugs sucker punch a random victim. gabe murray was punched in the head by a random stranger on thursday night

around 9-45 after he sat down on the 14 mission bus. his head is still sore from being smashed against the window, but was not knocked ou from the incident. murray says his their was no interaction leading up to the alleged incident with the suspect. the suspect ran after the attack and he believes he was a vicitm of the knock out game that has been making national news. the knockout game could be spreading to san francisco. >> it is just the way that it happened. you cannot even feel safe in your own neighborhood. it is crazy. >> align >> a sargent at sfpd's southern station says he
