one employee who works at a facility next to the warehouse shared what it was like to be next to the smoke. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >> pretty toxic and there. i was told not to come and there is no reason for anyone else to be here. >> pam: bart riders will soon pay more to ride the trains. starting january first -- bart riders will pay on average an extra 19 cents in fares. >> pam: bart says the money will help pay for new train cars and other projects that will help provide better service in the bay area. projects include allowing more trains to run more support future service to silicon valley. the renewed program will mean fare increases in 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2020. bart estimates that a generate a total of 325 million dollars will be generated to go towards funding the programs.
