also looking good have the golden gate bridge. off >>anny: ofan antioch man is in jail this morning after leading stiff ad forwe have video of that chase. it started out as a traffic stop around 7 o clock last night near marsh elementary school in antioch. during the stop, the driver hit an officer and fled. the officer was not injured. you can see the suspect driving on the rims. spike strips were laid out several times during this pursuit but the man kept driving. he led police on a high speed chase through antioch, pittsburg, bay point and concord for more than an hour. going up to 100 miles an hour. the vehicle was disabled near the intersection of "g" street and longview road. the 36-year-old suspect tried to escape on foot but was caught a short time later.

a second chase last night. also in antioch. police say around 9-30. they spotted this stolen saturn out of pittsburg. the driver didn't stop though so officers went after the vehicle. the chase ended when the suspect hit a van at somersville road and delta fair boulevard. the driver of the van was taken to the hospital for head pain. the male driver and his female passenger were arrested. another bay area news,bart and its two largest unions will be meeting again today with a federal mediator over a key contract provision. representatives for the transit agency and two unions will meet about a disputed family medical leave act provision, which calls for employees to receive up to six weeks of paid family medical leave spoke with the walnut creek

last month, bart directors approve the contract without the pay family medical leave provision and told union leaders to take the agreement back to their members for another vote without that provision. leaders of a s e a i you local 1021 and 82 refused to management's request and instead filed a lawsuit last week alleging that the transit agency's directors had acted unlawfully in must honor the terms of the tentative agreement.

police from berkeley, oakland and bart are collaborating and increasing patrols after a rash of armed robberies very close to the ash heap our station. --ashby bart station. the locations of the three robberies are seen there. the first to work on prince street and the last one was monday when a pregnant woman was robbed at gunpoint at 930 in the morning. kron4 spoke with police officers who want to get to the suspects before the crimes become more violent. milan-- berkeley police are warning residents to be aware of their surroundings especially this close to the holidays.

the use of credit card scanners is on the rise this holiday season and police in the east bay cities are skimming people out of cash. --skimmers. skimmers are devices that collect private information from a credit card which can then be used to make duplicates. kron4's philippe djegal spoke with the walnut creek police. and got a few tips on how you can prevent becoming a victim. these can have all of your private bank information including your pen number. enough to make duplicates of your card and robbing you blind. >>: pay cash and restaurants

state officials will consider today whether to change a decades-old anti- crime regulation and allow prostitutes to receive money from a victim compensation fund if they're raped or beaten by a john or pimp. under the current system, those harmed in violent crimes can be paid for medical costs and related but prostitutes are excluded because their activities are illegal. california is the only state in the nation with such a provision. a new poll out shows if the 2012 election were held today, mitt romney would have won. the washington post, a-b-c news poll conducted the poll. with voters choosing the former presidential candidate over barack obama 49 to 45 percent. romney's wife had this to

promise to go before a federal mediator who helped negotiate previous deals to see if they can work this out instead of going through the court system. bart is open for business as you can see behind me. no guarantee that will continue well into the future because the possibility of a strike is still on the table. bart trains are running and that's not a problem today. in the contract, because for bart workers to get six weeks of paid family medical leave. right now, they can do that but they have to cash and vacation sick or on the paydays. but, because according to bart there was a mistake. it was there early on. they're still on investigating. they did not meet for a to be in the contract which is why they cannot live with it. management approved the contract but to remove that provision of our leaders say that it's just incredible.

the 31-year-old nisbet is charged with 65 felonies. he has not entered a plea. so far, police know of three victims between 12 and 17 years old. the alleged assaults happened over a three year period. they say nisbet would commit the crimes on the boys at several locations. since we aired the story on tuesday, dozens of calls have come in to the livermore police department from parents concerned about their child's safety. nisbet is well respected for his work with young golfers. the p-g-a's northern california division gave him the 2013 junior golf leader award. the elevator company involved in the deadly accident at the new 49ers

stadium has been fined more than 50- thousand dollars. the schindler elevator corporation was cited for three serious violations which investigators say led to the death of 63-year- old mechanic don white. he was struck by an elevator in june. white was the first of two workers to die while working on the new stadium. which is slated to open next year. more than half a million dollars will be awarded to an iraq war veteran hurt by an officer during an occupy oakland protest. the 2011 beating left kayvan sabeghi with a lacerated spleen. the city of oakland agreed to pay 645- thousand dollars to sabeghi tuesday. it is the largest sum awarded so far to anyone injured during a string of occupy oakland protests in 2011 and 2012.

the search to find a missing plane in idaho has been scaled back. that aircraft piloted by san jose business man -dale smith, was carrying five people when it disappeared on december first. kron 4's charles clifford has an update. "mr. devante laws, angela zuniga, mr cartier hunter" the family and friends of those on board the plane are doing what they can to keep the effort going. if the family of the missing pilot dale smith has hired to airplanes to keep working in that area and volunteers are searching on the ground. recent satellite photos have been put online. over the weekend there was a brief moment of hope when this image of a plane was spotted but nothing was found with the location was checked. it's now believed this is probably one of the search planes working nearby. that
