have a high of 69 degrees. i will break down rest of the afternoon highs coming up. >> happening now, terminal a san jose and mineta airport has been evacuated after a broken water main. kron4 jackie sissel joins us live with details. >> this is about 40 percent of the traffic and this terminal is shutdown for purposes right now. this happened in the sky way, here is video at about 2:15 a.m.. officials stated that a water pipe about 6 in. wide and burst as sent water in the area. it also bought into the baggage claim area. it also reached a security

checkpoint shutting down this entire area. this means, that if you are traveling out of this area, that means that if you have bags checked, you will have to check in with the airline then have to walk or be bused to terminally b and then go through security checkpoints and then they will bus or walking back here to terminal a to catch a flight. we have had a chance to talk to san jose's police officials to talk about this situation. >> you should plan to arrive a little early. we recommend that domestic flies get here a little early given the situation. we want to make sure the to leave on time. until we get

doing this and they're telling people to be careful. this has not happened here but you can see so many people coming here. a lot of people are not from berkeley. we are talking three armed robberies are long the area over the past week. one involved a pregnant woman which is why we have seen them stepped up patrols police g involved because the border oakland. this is a very dangerous time because it is the holidays and the armed robbers tend to pick up. they believe that there is a lot of desperation people are looking for money and this is why they're stepping up patrols. i had a chance to talk to the police department and this is what they had to say. >> there are pedestrians--

it started to back up here at the toll plaza toward the macarthur maze. it's already backed up past the 580 flight over. the drive time coming out of the macarthur maze is now over 21 minutes. it will be less and your best approach is if you come from the nimitz freeway. but take a look at your san mateo bridge ride and highway 92. volume definitely building up. i see what looks like some flashing lights at about here that may have just been a turn signal. will keep a closer eye on it. now there's a vehicle pulled over with flashing lights. a little bit of slowing as you head out towards the toll plaza. the golden gate bridge however is clear. east bay traffic now. interstate 80 picking up a little slowing and the westbound direction. drive times are up to about 90 minutes. your commute through the san ramon valley is still clear. about a 33 minute drive time from the 2 05 interchange out for the dublin interchange and some slowing for 101 in the

northbound direction. but the north bay ride still looks great through marin county 4101 southbound. public transit no delays or problems reported. >>james: now on to an earthquake. a 2.8 quake. it was recorded near the geysers and sonoma county last night. . the u.s. geological survey says it happened around 955 about 2 mi. east of the geysers. there were no reports of damage. >>darya: major changes to ac transit lines in alameda county. these changes started yesterday. they include new bus line serving employment centers and shopping areas. a more direct route for certain lines. there's also increased frequency and longer hours on other lines. for more information visit

ac transit got work. well bart management and its two largest unions will continue contract talks today. they started negotiations on thursday over one clause and the labor contract that is causing a major snack. the unions have already voted to ratify the contract, the bart management says the page family leave act was included in the contract by mistake. the talks on thursday and friday were the first formal negotiations since october 21st. a federal mediator is participating. >>james: investigators are saying 18 year-old karl pierson and colorado's arapahoe high-school bent on revenge. pearson's target, his the bay coach tracy murphy. murphy is suspended--murphy suspended pearson from the team in september. before he could reach its intended target,

the baggage claim area at. that area have to be evacuated. it is shut down right now. and it's going to remain that way for several more hours what happened to the passengers and that's our checking and here at terminal 83 that includes hawaiian airlines delta air lines american jet blue and virgin america. about 40 percent of all flights come out of terminal bay. what means is that passengers are going to have to come here if they have that critic check-in with the airline. the bus or walked down the terminal be to go through security checkpoints down there because the security checkpoint your terminal a remains closed. once they go through the security checkpoint then at that point they can either walk down or be bused back here to terminal date to cash their flights. obviously that means it's one to take a lot more time. we had a chance to talk with spokeswoman with the airport about a half-hour ago. she
