developing but we do know that this accident is looking very serious on the nimitz. the lanes are blocked and one report says that one big rig is involved. some reports are stating that a person might have been trapped in a vehicle. ambulances have been dispatched. in fact, the officer for the highway safety patrol has also been dispatched. this usually means that more emergency vehicles are to follow. >> it is starting to affect the ride a 80 coming down past the 980 turn off. from this point: i think your best bet is to consider using interstate 58 instead. more details will be available. >> take a look at temperatures right now, they're very mild. off 50 degrees in san francisco

machine. according to police and witnesses, the started at 3:30 a.m.. a white van pulled up, tied a chain around the atm machine. they attempted to pull out the atm machine away from the wall. the chain broken at some point they have to reposition the ban and they knocked it over. they physically, not to the atm machine over. they tossed the atm machine in the back of the van and then they drove off with the doors open. the atm machine was hanging out in the back. that made it over to trace our island but they stopped, they were spotted by police officer and then they headed back to san francisco in the wrong direction. >> ultimately, the san francisco police found the van at 18th and missouri. it was in the patrol hill area.

the atm was on the back of the bed, the two suspects were gone. we have sound, where a witness saw what happened. >> he ran aground, the two of them, they loaded, they drove it down the street in part of it was still hanging, scraping down the street. >> the machine, was scraping. they fraud ended the machine a few times. let pulled the event to the front, they drove. maligned that was a witness who saw what happened. >> i can tell you that the owner of mayflower market just arrived. he is being briefed by the police. there is not a lot of damage to

>> she seemed to be fine after surgery but something went wrong, she is brain dead and now there is a battle about leaving her connected to life support. >> it has been a very difficult time for classmates of jahi. these are the playgrounds, classrooms, and school hall where 13-year-old jahi mcmath has played, studied, and made friends for the past nine years lisa blair is the chief operating officer at e.c. reems academy of technology and arts in east oakland she has watched jahi grow up, starting when she was in kindergarten. >> now blair finds herself explaining to jahi's friends how the beloved 8th grader ended up on life support. she says her absence is felt deeply in the classroom.

because they could have a bigger problems. here is a picture of a girl. apparently 700,000 people get their tonsils or molds. there are always at risk involved. at the surgery, she was in her bed, everything was fine. for whatever reason, she had a heart attack, she is unconscious and if it was up to the doctors, they would have already taken off. this is why yesterday, the family was scrambling and even asking the mayor to step in. this is why, late yesterday morning the hospital said that they hear them and they will keep her own life support. if they stated that they would help the the family through the grieving process. i had a chance to speak to the mother and this is what she had to say. >> she is alive to me, she

still has a heart beat. i laid my head on her chest, i hear her heart beating. she is just not the dead. when i think of something and dad, i think of something cold, something that is not pleasant to eyes. she is pleasant to the eyes. it is just like she is sleeping. i prayed over her and i told her that her mother would never stop fighting for her. >> her family for what ever reason is not letting the hospital give their side of the store. the hospital stated that they're there to offer services. they're trying to talk to the family and give information. they want them to understand the situation and that they stated there are a lot of misconceptions that the need to clear up. legally, if the family do not want them to speak to the media they cannot. >> the time is 6:14 a.m.. we

livermore was a high of 64. upper 50s for downtown san francisco and napa is checking in with a high of 61. it will be very windy and the wind will crank up, by midnight, we have a wind advisory that has been posted. >> down in the santa clara valley, with that we will see wind gusts of 60 mi. per hour. it may be difficult for you to sleep with the wind howling. power outages and downed wires may happen. we will continue with this for thursday. the good news is that the windy conditions will clean the air and i do not think a spare gear that will be issued in fact it will be cleaner and a lot colder for friday. mild weather will return for the weekend in fact we are back in the mid 60's for the start of next week. >> the man that fell off the

san mateo bridge last week is in jail this morning. this is video from our helicopter partnership with a-b-c seven news of the car being towed away police say xaiver mcclinton and his wife were having an argument when he tried to drive the car into the bay. when that failed, mcclinton tried to throw his wife off the bridge. when other drivers saw the struggle, they stopped to help and managed to grab his wife by her legs and save her from falling into the mcclinton fell into the water and was later saved by the alameda county fire department. district attorney steve wagstaff says mcclinton never showed any signs of aggression or paranoid people were going into his >> for him trying to do what he did, he wanted to end her life as well as his own. she was severely injured. she had major cuts on her face.

this started at 3:30 a.m. when a white van pulled up they cooked up a chain to the atm, they attempted to pull away but at that point it broke and these two guys got out of the car and they repositions the van. that loss in the atm and opened the back door and the door was opened, they took off down jackson street. that also ended up at treasure island. at that point they were spotted and it took off. >> they went on the bay bridge point the wrong way and optimally, they caught up with the event, here is video of the band, the atm was inside a but no suspects. this is where we are at as far as suspects are concerned. they're still looking for them and i had a chance to talk to a person
