the family of 18 declared brain dead says they will seek an injunction to bar the hospital from removing her life support. 13 year- old jahi mcmath was declared brain dead a week ago after suffering complications from a routine tonsil removal surgery. the family met with children's hospital oakland officials yesterday. jahi's uncle says the requested the girl's medical records, asked to get an independent doctors' opinion and that they keep jahi alive at least through the christmas. but the meeting did not go as planned. the family is not giving up. they're going to court today to seek the injunction against the hospital. and are hoping they will be able to get a second doctor's opinion soon.

more than 75 people are injured after part of a safe theater ceiling collapse in london. seven of the injuries are serious. the collapse happened lewis douglas l. sloan thursday night during a holiday performance at london's apollo theater. more than 700 people were there at the time. police say plaster from a section of the ceiling tumbled down.bringing parts

the pilot of a small plane is hospitalized after crashing an tampa international airport this morning. the pilot had called in a distress call just before the crash.reporting a low engine oil light indicator. he was flying a 6-seat cessna airplane. two tampa police department officers in a helicopter heard the distress call and came to the pilot's aid after he crashed. he is now in stable condition. and the n-t-s-b is expected to begin an investigation. one person is dead and two dozen are injured after a tour bus overturns in san diego county. it happened thursday on highway 15 near fallbrook.
