for 101 and the south bay but definitely lighter than usual there as well as on the peninsula and through the north bay. happening now. a dangerous mass of arctic air is marching toward the south and east after leaving much of the midwest with wind chills as low as minus 55. wind chill warnings stretched as far south as alabama and florida, and schools in places such as atlanta were canceled today. officials in maryland worried that roads wet from melting snow would freeze as temperatures fell. the polar air broke temperature records in chicago, fort wayne, indiana, oklahoma and texas on monday. due to the deep freeze, there are over 18-hundred

those lines don't-hopefully they can get that squared out because that's where a lot of 49ers fan are expecting to fly. no onea lot of 49ers fans are making last minute travel plans.to see the team take on carolina sunday. we crunched the numbers and figured out what it could cost you to get to the game. your best bet is to fly out of san jose to charlotte. roundtrip 365 bucks for a flight leaving on saturday and returning monday. two nights in the lacasa inn south charlotte will set you back 90 dollars. a cross country train trip is an option at 761 dollars round trip. each way would take you four days and beause of track work you'll have to take a bus at times.

the target she worked at in pittsburg friday morning. she then went back to the office and watched him on the surveillance cameras. douglas eventually left the store and went into the parking lot where he hung around for a few hours. because of his bizarre actions, roxanna wrote down the license plate number from his gold toyota camry. later that night, there was an amber alert for 7 year

old natalie calvo was kidnapped. douglas' description and car fit what roxanna saw earlier. roxanna called authorities and 2 hours later, police were at her door thanking her for cracking the case. friday's kidnapping of seven- year-old natalie calvo finished with a happy ending. she was found safely just a couple hours after and as it turns out -- police were not the only heroes in finding the young girl. kron-4's alecia reid spoke with a woman whose call to car. prompted the search.

not just snow.it's the freezing temperatures.look at this bank sign in wisconsin.it reads "minus it's not quite as cold to the south in virginia.but still cold enough for this. the woman who shot this picture.says she saw the raindrop hit this leaf.then freeze before it dripped off to the ground. expect low 60s on the east bay shoreline. will see temperatures in the upper 50s for san bruno and san mateo. 62 year high in oakland is 61 expected and petaluma. clouds will only ramp up into the afternoon expecting mostly cloudy day with very over cast conditions but again not a raindrop in sight. most activity six well to the north. could see a few showers by the north bay. plenty of sunshine and warmer weather by friday.
