possibility of record to breaking warmer weather. we may see 70's in the north bay. started things off with a live look from the camera. the temperatures are mainly in the 40's however, the coldest spots are in the north. you can expect 60's for just about everyone. 66 today for san francisco and mid 60's for livermore and valid. clear skies over the bay and high pressure continues to build. that means that warmer weather is on the way. we will see temperatures continued to climb. the 7 day around the bay shows that we have 70's over the next couple of days and i would not be surprised of records are broken. a weak system will more than double " the temperatures down. the extended model shows the dry weather until

>> you're looking at video of the aftermath of a suspicious fire in the lot of a church in san jose. this is part of a series of fires in this area of south 26th and east antonio streets. it was the second suspicious fire reported yesterday. but it's the 12th suspicious fire reported in downtown san jose since wednesday. firefighters are calling eight of these fires arson. they say there is something in common with all of these suspicious blazes. >> there is no type of source to start this. this person is using ordinary things like newspaper and a cardboard, any thing that they can find to set the fire. >> the fire department and police department are working together to catch the culprit. firefighters have previously offered a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arsonist's arrest and released a sketch of the suspect. >> coming up on the kron 4 morning news--

>> welcome back. police are looking for a man involved in an armed robbery in oakland earlier this week. it happened on tuesday on walker avenue near the grand lake theater. police were able to obtain surveillance footage of the suspect and his vehicle. police say he is described as an african-american man in his 30s, standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. they say he has short hair

and a silver "grill" in his mouth. he is believed to have been in a truck before the robbery. >> campbell police are looking for a suspected sexual predator on the loose. this is the sketch of a man authorites say attacked a woman just after midnight on thursday. the attack was near sunny oaks avenue and winchester boulevard. police say the victim was grabbed from behind and the suspect began to sexually assault her. the woman was able to burn the man on the face with her cigarette. investigators say the suspect then pulled out a gun to rob the woman but she was able to get away. >> people in west virginia might soon be able to do their dishes, take a shower and brush their teeth. officials say more than a million people have been affected by a chemical spill that happened four days ago. cnn's andrew spencer has more. >> i believe we're at a

>> there were many members of congress who know the spectrum who urged him to throttle back on the block level. i hope that he listens. >> the issue of spying on americans is politically controversial.and will likely be brought before congress, so look for some fireworks on capitol hill in the coming months. >> the state department of public health has created a new website listing beauty products that contain potentially harmful chemicals. the new database lists products including makeup, soap and lotion, containing ingredients that have been linked to a higher risk of cancer or birth defects. officials say inclusion on the list does not mean a product *will cause cancer. but the database will allow consumers to make informed choices. the website currently has information on about 30- thousand products.

>> this friday.michelle obama will be turning "50 and fabulous" as she says. a white house birthday party is planned for saturday evening. guests have been told to come ready to dance and to eat before they come. mrs. obama started the celebration early by staying back in hawaii to hang out with girlfriends after her family's two-week holiday vacation there. she has three years left as first lady and says that not having another election to worry about gives her "a little more room to breathe." >> a state memorial today for former israeli prime minister ariel sharon. here's video of the casket being brought to the country's parliament building. the ceremony will be followed by a private burial at the family's desert ranch in southern israel. sharon died saturday after eight years in a coma. vice president joe biden and former british prime minister tony blair are in israel for today's ceremony. >>

some tense moments in puerto rico's northern coast overnight. a 6 point 4 magnitude earthquake hit just after midnight. it was about 17 miles deep in the ocean. residents in san juan say buildings swayed and that there was some minor damage done. no injuries have been reported. >> a non-function fire safety system could be the reason why the popular tibetan tourist town shangri la was destroyed saturday fire officials say the system costing more than $1 million had been turned off to prevent pipes from bursting during below the town's wooden houses burned quickly because fire trucks were unable to get to the scene through the narrow streets and alleys ways. also investigators are looking into whether the cold lowered water pressure in hydrants. a line

>> dennis rodman is apologizing for not helping an american missionary detained in north korea. rodman say he is sorry for not helping kenneth bae who has been in north korea for more than a year. the form basketball star and other retired players were there last week to play a game to celebrate the birthday of leader kim jong un. last week rodman also apologized for suggesting that bae was responsible for his own detainment. line >> with the number of flu related deaths on the rise, many bay area residents are flocking to get vaccinated. now pharmacies all over are running low on flu shots. kron 4's alecia reid is at a san francisco pharmacy with more. >> some pharmacies have been having shortages including this 24-hour wal-mart. they have another shipment on the way and they are advising customers to go to other locations that do have the shot. the latest being a 23 year-old of santa rosa cool

friends and family say was a healthy young man. you can still get the flu shot if you have a cold as long as you do not have a fever. if >> you may soon pay more for electricity, especially if you're home during the day. the san francisco chronicle reports the california public utilities commission is considering a plan to charge consumers based on the time of day when energy is used. that would result in a 16 percent increase in rates for the average pg&e customer. supporters of the plan say it would encourage people to afternoons, when demand peaks. >> a silicon valley multimillionaire who once ran for governor now wants to raise california's minimum wage to 12-dollars an hour. ron unz says the wage hike would help low-paid workers get off government aid. his proposal hasn't qualified for the state ballot yet.

>> welcome back. new details on the data breach with luxury retailer neiman marcus. a spokesperson for the company says it's working with the secret service to try and catch the hackers who stole some of it's customers credit card the information was compromised around the same time thieves got a hold of *target shoppers information. neiman marcus won't say just how many customers may be >> you may just be giving a thief direct access to your checking account and not even know it by using your debit card. here are the four riskiest places to swipe your debit card outdoor atms are among the most dangerous places to use a debit card since they present a perfect opportunity for thieves to skim users' debit cards. gas stations are a big danger zone for debit card use. even if the thief doesn't manage to get your debit card pin from a skimming device, he still may be able to duplicate the card's magnetic strip and use it for "sign and swipe" visa or mastercard transactions.

the web is always risky place since the consumer could have malware on their computer and not even know it, so it could be at their endpoint that the data gets compromised. and lastly restaurants-- using debit cards to order delivery can be risky because cashiers tend to keep customer payment information on file. so regardless of whether you use your debit card at a small restaurant or a big- box store, the possibility of fraud is always there. >> there's a new way to listen to music. a-t-and-t says it will start offering customers a subscription to streaming service "beats music." it would give as many as five family members unlimited streaming and song downloading for 15-dollars a month. there are future plans to add in the popular "beats headphone lines." >> we will be right back.

>> welcome back. the box office numbers are in. and, the war film 'lone survivor,' based on a true story. took in more than 38-million dollars in its opening weekend. one of the soldiers portrayed in the film -- matthew axelson. was born and raised in cupertino. he was killed in action. the film -- starring mark wahlberg -- is based on the 2007 memoir 'lone survivor'. tonight, kron four's philippe djegal sits down with matthew axelson's mother. who says she was moved by the film. >> it was at the very end when they show the fifth photographs of the 20 men that were involved that show the military photograph and a video clip from his wedding. >> when she left of the screening of the femme she and her husband came away feeling good about how it

>> welcome back. the san mateo county sheriff's office is asking for the public's help in locating a man who robbed a bank in millbrae at gunpoint. the sheriff's office distributed this image of the suspect captured on a bank surveillance camera. deputies responded to the robbery at the chase bank on south el camino real just before 3 p-m on friday. they say a man entered the bank and demanded money from a teller while holding a gun. he then made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. at the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a shiny silver or nylon suit, a black beanie with zebra-

>> morgan hill police are trying to solve a copper wire theft that has left a neighborhood in the dark. police say someone stole 27- hundred feet of copper wiring used to run electricity through 15- street lights. even their underground electrical boxes were stripped of copper. the theft happened sometime last week. police found out about it after a neighbor complained the lights were out. the suspects are unknown. >> u-s drivers are seeing prices go up at gas pumps. that's according to a new survey that says fuel prices have risen 8 cents a gallon over the past three weeks. nationally, the average price for a gallon is now 3- dollars and 35- cents. here in california. the lowest price can be found in sacramento, at 3 dollars and 47 cents a gallon. take a look at some of the average prices in the bay

afternoon highs oakland will be at 69 degrees, 65 for vallejo, seven days along the delta. san jose will have a high of 66. downtown san francisco also is a 66 and 69 for santa rosa. fog is not a factor and high pressure continues to build. it will be a lot stronger than what we have seen we will see warmer readings again and the temperatures will be above the 70's. but later ron, we will see a gradual cool down. >> the 7 day or around the bay shows the warmest days will be tuesday through thursday. a string of sunshine will carry us through the work week and a get it will be slightly cooler for friday and will continue with this through saturday and the extended model is point to dry
