super storm sandy recovery funds to her support of a private project. she met with prosecutors yesterday at their request and turned over a journal and other documents. this is weeks after allegations that the governor arranged to tie up lanes on the george washington grudge as revenge against the mayor of fort lee. >> key part of the attempt to overhaul the surveillance program is under fire. the president wants bulk data stored outside of the government to reduce the risk of abuse. but leaders say that it is unworkable for the government to let someone else control the storage of that data. >> new york mother and her children are dead after a stabbing. and stacy -- daisy garcia and her children were stabbed and found dead in their apartment on sunday. no arrests have been made. and the fire burning in los angeles county.

it has destroyed a handful of homes. but the fire department has some good news this morning. the blaze is 78% contained. all the residents have returned home. and it is a threat for the region. the fire started and burned three square miles. and in the process destroyed five homes. we're weeks away from the start of the games in russia. and the torch arrived today. and security is a concern. and lawmakers there is a video from a web site and promises an attack in sochi. the men in the video say they are responsible for the suicide bombings a month ago on a bus and at a train station.

this story is coming into the news room this morning a mayor is accused of making his death to avoid rape charges. it is unfolding in mexico. police arrested the mayor last summer for a 2004 rape and prosecutors say after that he got a death certificate issued for himself to get out of the charges. he did not disappear. instead he went on to win an election. the media calling him now the zombie candidate. strange story. 49ers coming up short of their
