drizzle. the 7 day around the bay highlights for the warm conditions into the weekend, conditions were plenty of sunshine to go or around. we will continue with the warming trend. the ridge of high pressure by the end of the mall will start to break down and we may see rain for the first week of february. that is something that i will continue to monitor all right now we're getting you out the door and we are hoping for like conditions. >> we are not tracking any wait at the pay gate. the san mateo bridge is moving along in both directions with no incidents to report. the golden gate bridge is problem free. we do have areas of patchy fog so keep that in mind. highway 24 is an easy ride with any accidents. take a look at west bound 580 generally is

that this was a homeless camp. this fire is burning pretty good. it is about four to 5 a. and you can see how intensely fire is burning. it is extremely dry as i pull out here. just bear with me so you could see how dry it is. the hope instead it will not spread and that is where the home depot is. it is about an acre way. i can tell you that when fire crews arrived here about 5 minutes ago they're not able to get super close to the fire at this point from this shot they're trying to get access to this fence. the hope is that it wants to get this in control and get this out

>> we sought a embers going to what is the wind conditions. the wind is actually pretty calm but although i saw a bus up to a 33 m.p.h.. that is in the higher elevations. however, closer to where the home depot is that is actually a very flat area but it is still dry. we have not had any decent land in the past several days. with these dry conditions and the lack rain we're looking at the possibility of this fire to start to spread. you will notice that it shot upward and it was not going until the easter anything like that. hopefully this does not grow larger. we have the red flag morning before the north but also for the diablo range. we could see us up to 40 m.p.h. but the

fire that is burning in the north bay. >> you can see how dry it is out here and how much this fuel is taking over. it is sending embers up in the air. those embers are flying everywhere. back in the distance and more fire trucks and ride over there, you see the home depot. this is kind of a wetlands area. i have been told by people that were out here earlier that this may have been a homeless encampment. it looks like it is about three to 4 a. and hopefully it will not spread to any nearby businesses.

>> welcome back. we're following breaking news out of the north where we have live pictures coming in following the latest with that brush fire that is burning along st. francis boulevard. jackie, you were one of the first on the scene. it looks like these lanes are closed today not down. >> yes, they are starting to get a perimeter. the firefighters are out here. this is kind of a wetlands area. it took firefighters about 20 minutes to half an hour to get a program tercet up. you concede there are torn water on this fire. firefighters set up a perimeter around this area. this is about a three to 4 a.. this is the home depot the choosy in san rafael and the hope is that they can

dangerous situation that affects your commute. kron4 jackie sissel is live at the scene. >> you can see this woodland area right offer francisco boulevard. we finally got the flames under control but there were a lot less scary moments. here is video when i first arrived at 4:00 a.m.. this was a swampy area right next to the home depot in san rafael. when i arrived here the flames were about 25 to 30 ft. high. this area is extremely dry. we have not have rain for a while. once this fire hits it basically exploded. there is word that perhaps this was a homeless encampment. several people were seen running from the scene. you can hear some popping. the good news is that there were no wins this morning

kill boyfriend of a young woman that he likes has been sentenced to life in prison wade showed no reaction to the judge's sentence. he was 16 when he committed the crime. on top of a life sentence, the judge added 21 years and 20--four months of enhancements for pre meditation and use of a gun. he was also charged with stealing a convertible clamor getting the lawn into a celebrity chef of dying f guy fieri among other crimes. he will be eligible for parole in 17 or 18 years. >> we will be right back.

bay bridge toll plaza. it isn't easy ride coming in from the maze. all so we're looking at good conditions on 92, the san mateo bridge as well as the ride into san mattel. also, a look at the ride on the golden gate bridge, 1 01 southbound northbound traffic is pretty light with no delays through marin county. >> where once the updates and drive times that east shore freeway is 14 minutes from hercules to berkeley. there's a 16 minute drive time into the blend. no problems for 580 westbound the san ramon. the mid peninsula traffic has no delays for interstate 280. it is 26 minutes from novato down to the golden gate bridge. >> the public transit is
