kron4 morning news starts now. >>: new this morning. a fire in an apartment near san francisco state sent to people to the hospital. it happened just after midnight on the sixth floor of the building on cambon drive. firefighters say the fire is under control. they put the fire out just before 1:00. the two people were hurt in the fire were taken to hospital. we do not know there conditions this morning. >>: also new this morning, san francisco police are investigating the death of a man at a motel. his body was found in the motel desk- tisch motels garbage chute. this was of valencia street in the mission between 19th and 20th streets. police

said the medical examiner went to the scene and did not find any signs that this may have been a homicide. in fact, homicide investigators were even called to the scene. the medical examiner's offices will now work to figure out how the man died. the ember a lawyer out vocally brunch yesterday morning is over. a man police were looking for has been found in question period and the girl police say was kidnapped is actually a woman was not kidnapped. it's a strange story. >>: we're still looking at the crime. now that we've had a shift in the investigation investigators are looking at what this crime shelby. we know we had a theft from a store but we also have affirmation that the suspect did make threats. >>: police said this investigation is ongoing but

on nine the time. in san jose today the man suspected of kidnapping and killing morgan hill teen sierra lamar isn't for the judges and courts on multiple charges. antolin garcia torres faces several counts from a grand jury did a carjacking and attempted kidnapping. those charges are related to a tax on three women into grocery store parking lots and morgan hill in 2009. sierra lamar disappeared on her way to school in 2012. her body was never found. >>: actors enter reports the storms have left more than a half million houses and businesses without of lectures to be. >>: the clouds are out there raleigh, n.c. but for a lot of stranded drivers and hasn't done much good. officials of the south east urge people to stay home if they could as the road conditions got progressively worse. even first responders were having a hard time getting around slipping and

mike pelton. mike? >>: fire crews ticket to this under control. they have cleared the same but this fire broke out at this high-rise apartment. it's right next to san jose state. that to evacuate all residents inside the building. you could see several hundred people standing outside the complex earlier this morning. as the fire broke out around 1220 it the sixth floor of the building. there is smoke and water damage to surrounding units as possible water damage to below units on the floor. as fire crews responded to the same day reports of oxygen tanks exploding grid to people were injured during this period they have been taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment. no word on the extent of their injuries or their condition this morning but again fire crews did put out the fire. residents are back and their apartments. the cause of this fire is still under investigation.
