commute from the dublin interchange. this is an aide to my minute drive that is basically over the hill. but an accident at eaton canyon road is blocking two lanes and has backed up the traffic and it is more than twice the normal drive time. it should take 28 to 9 minutes but now is about 22 minutes. the concern is that it is going to back up the ride even more through the dublin interchange. it will start to slow the traffic coming out of livermore in the westbound direction. there's no indication of how soon that will get this cleared. again, two lanes were blocked and that is why it was jammed up. >> there is a homicide investigation in san jose that has disrupted service. the investigation on second street. there is no train stopping at this location

we will take an extended look at the forecast. and >> the san jose police department is investigating the city's 10th homicide of 2014. on 3/19/14, at approximately 2:49 a.m., the san jose police department's 9-1-1 communications center received reports of a person down in the area of north 2nd street and east st. john in downtown san jose. officers responded to the scene and upon arrival they located an unresponsive male. the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene a short time later. the circumstances surrounding the murder are under investigation. the san jose police department's homicide unit is responding to the scene to take over the investigation. no suspects have been identified or apprehended at this time. >> a suspect was shot and injured by an alameda county sheriffs deputy after a car chase in san lorezno. the sheriff's department says the chase started when authorities tried to conduct a vehicle stop in the cherryland area. the driver of the black bmw took off. officers lost sight of him while on northbound 880. car on hesperian and grant. the deputy feared for his

life and fired two shots at the suspect who then sped away. an alameda county sheriff's deputy fires at a man -- wounding him -- after almost being run over during a chase. the department says the man was stopped near an onramp to highway 92. >> the deputy is a seven year veteran which is on paid leave. >> maligned >> a barricaded man was killed after a lengthy standoff in pacifica.

it happened yesterday afternoon on san pedro and grand avenues. police say a depressed man barricaded himself in his home and was possibly armed. after more than six hours, the swat team went into the home. when the team got inside, the suspect, armed with a knife, stabbed one of the swat team members, the injured officer was taken to the hospital and is recovering this morning. linethe minimum wage for richmond will be going up. the city council voted 6 to 1 last night on the hike. kron 4's jackie sissel is live in richmond with what this means for employees. >> you can imagine workers were in favor of this and businesses are not so much. they stated that increasing in this would be passed on to the consumer which for all ultimately hurt their businesses because customers will go elsewhere to get a cheaper price. at the meeting there were people who spoke on both sides. >> arguments will be made

>> welcome back. the time is 6:43 a.m.. >> we have been talking for a while about interstate 580 in the west on commute coming from dublin over to castro valley because of a big rig accident that is in the final clearing stages. the drive time has dropped considerably which is good news pripet is now down to 17 minutes. earlier there was a problem on highway 84. this has been cleared westbound at pigeon path. 680 is slow and the southbound direction so heavier than usual traffic around the dublin interchange. >> let's take a look at the bridges. there is a hot spot, was found at the bay
