temperatures they're not too bad for most of us. san francisco was at 48 degrees. places like santa rosa we're not dealing with too much. the temperatures have dropped. it is a frigid start for some of us but the temperatures are expected to warm-up. you will see about 3:00 p.m. we will see seven degree70 degrees. once again the temperatures are above average. monday is looking to be the warmest. tonight get accustomed to this the temperatures will cool off and we will see the chance for rain on tuesday night that will stretch through the end of the next work week. >> we are tracking a system that we should now seek to much rain. >> new developments this morning. in the search for missing malaysia air flight 370. chinese satellite images

show a large piece of debris. kron four's mike pelton is in the newsroom with the latest, mike? >> that debris - spotted in the general vicinity of where searchers have been looking for days. here off the southwest coast of australia. in a very remote portion of the indian ocean. authorities are now trying to find that debris before it either sinks or becomes to tough to find. let's take a closer look. this image.picked up by chinese satellites. hard to tell what it is but authorities say it's big.about 74x43 feet. this debris - found about 80 miles south of where previous satellite images showed possible debris - however teams have yet to find those objects. while this is a new satellite image.chinese officials say the pictures are from four days ago so authorities still have the problem, essentially - finding a needle in a haystack >> we cannot be sure at this time if one was sighted is related to the loss of the aircraft. here it is the

most promising lead that we have received. there are other explanations as to what might have been cited. >> ".satellite image." one of those other explanations - possibly a shipping container. but planes and ships from countries all across the world are involved in the search.really focusing on the waters west of australia. still looking at all options in terms of what happened to flight 370 - after it left kuala lampur and dissappeared. now two weeks ago.with 239 people on board. >> in the wake of the new evidence the search area is expanding by about 50- percent. crews.hoping to search more than ten thousand square miles today. marty? >> san francisco police are

investigating officer involved shooting in the city's bernal heights neighborhood. this is video from the scene that happened at 7:30 p.m.. officers say that a man drew his gun and pointed at the officers as they approached him. the officers responded firing their guns. >> officers had closed the area to park goers as a search for witnesses. kissing has since been cleared. >> a man is in critical condition this morning after he was shot multiple times. police said that the man is in his 20s and is likely the victim of a drive-by shooting. please are looking for a small, dark colored

passenger car. no arrests have been made. >> align >> dublin police arrest a 14-year-old boy suspected of calling in bomb threats to schools in helen- a, montana. they say he made three threatening calls this week. court records show that the dublin boy collaborated with a 16 year old in montana. they met while gaming on-line. authorities are deciding whether to charge the teenager in california or montana. police in dublin *and helena say, this is still an ongoing investigation. the dublin boy was released into the custody of his parents. >> two women are in jail in monterey county. sheriff's officials say they starved three children, and chained one of them to the floor in a home near salinas. authorities were alerted to the neglect at the home and arrested christian deanda and eraca craig. kron-4's jeff bush has the latest on the condition of the children..

customers to allow extra travel time during this time. the work will be completed by tonight, but the center lanes will remain closed until tomorrow morning as the concrete needs to cure. >> some counties in michigan will start issuing marriage licenses today to same-sex couples. unless a higher court intervenes and suspends a decision striking down a ban on gay marriage. in 2004, a detroit federal judge overturned a constitutional amendment recognizing marriage as only as between a man and a woman. friday, michigan's attorney general asked an appeals court to step in. thus far there has been no response from the court. >> a united nations declaration promoting equality for women has been approved. it reaffirms the sexual and reproductive rights of all women.as well as endorsing sex education for adolescents. the document comes after two weeks of heated debate, it calls for equality, empowerment, and human rights for women to be included in new u.n. goals expected to be adopted next year.

going viral. it all happened at the everglades outpost.thats a non-profit nature preserve and sanctuary that is home to a vast collection of rescued wild animals. chris madden is a volunteer at the everglades outpost. he wanted to get some point of view video of "big boy," a 13 and a half foot american crocodile that lives at the santuary. so chris made a p-v-c housing to go on top of his brand new go pro camera. but things took a turn for the worst >> i was just trying to get some shots of him but is so messed up camera touch the water, he went berserk. anything that touches the water, he is looking to do some damage. >>big boy will chomp down on just about anything but when it came to the go pro camera, he spit that out. unfortunately for chris the go pro did not survive. "big boy' bit through the camera. but the camera was covered under the crocodile warranty. and luckily, no one was hurt. >>

public health patients at risk. officials stated that last month computers with personal information of nearly 56,000 patients were stolen from computers. those affected are paces the visited san francisco's outpatient neighborhood health clinic as well as clinics and the emergency room in san francisco general hospital. >> this information included their names, address, in some cases social security numbers. dates and locations of services and the date of birth. >> the department of public health is sending out letters to the affected patients. a call center is also being set up so the patients can phone in and find out if that were impacted. >> this comes just a day after ucsf announced that

nearly 10,000 of their patients have their personal data compromise. that information was taken back in january. investigators say, that the computers had information that included individuals names, dates of birth, mailing addresses and social security numbers. the university has send out notification letters to those affected. >> the anti the vixen movement in san francisco got a little bolder on friday. protesters delivered an eviction notice to a prominent law front. the protesters were in front of --after delivery of this eviction notice, the protesters then offered financial support and access to services for the " lawyers in need. the demonstrators hammered home a point, that for city dixon attorneys, it is all about location. >> the law firm is not on

numbers and they have caller id system to make it look like their calls are legitimate. they also cite the last four digits of the social security number. if a victim refused to cooperate they plan to rest for the bore them. the irs does not do this over the phone and they never wanted to do wire transfer or credit card numbers. the >> irs acting commissioner stated that if someone unexpectedly calls claiming to be from the irs and threatened police arrest or a license or ratification, that is a sign that it really is not true. finally, if someone suspect that they have received a call from the stammered you should contact the federal trade commission directly. >>
