outside but not too bad. 51 degrees. napa is cooler and 47 degrees. fremont is at 54 degrees. 64 degrees for sunnyvale. today will be very nice. if you are getting ready to go out the door you should grab a jacket but today will be another beautiful day. here is a looked at satellite and radar, clear conditions this morning high pressure is in control, it will be dry, sunny and mild. for this afternoon, it would be nice, perfect if you have any outdoor plants. clear skies for the bay and the temperatures will be in the 40's and 50's. sunny skies once again as we head into afternoon. they should go or another 5 to 10 degrees compared to yesterday. >> we will take a look at

what you can expect for your cities this afternoon. mostly sunny all wrong. 724 san francisco and 64 for daly city. the warmest reading will be in the 80s today. if you're in the south bay, 82 for sunnyvale and 83 for livermore valley. napa will be at 78 and fairfield will be 80 degrees. just beautiful weather all around the bay. this warming trend will continue, to marr will be just as nice.tomorrow will be js nice. we will see the temperatures cooled down mid week. that cooling trend will continue wednesday through the rest of the week. >> that was a look picture

weather for this afternoon. the traffic is looking nice so far, your ride to san francisco as nice as mold for west 80. there are no lights or delays in just a 10 minute drive times to downtown san francisco. if your headed towards the san mateo bridge, here is a look at highway 92. they're in good shape with no problems. 12 minutes will be your time and towards foster city. >> there is a breaking nils this morning out of the south bay where firefighters are on the scene of a building that is on fire. it happened on old of bay shore have a neholding bayshore avenun san jose right by the 880, 101 interchange. crews are inside the building tried to

knock down the fire. we have a crew headed to the scene and will bring you updates throughout the day. >> a baby girl-- who became ill in the middle of the ocean-- more than a thousand miles from home finally made her way to a hospital last night. one-year-old lyra koffman is in stable condition thanks to an elite military team from san francisco. kron four's dan rubin spoke with some of the brave men and women who are answering the distress call of baby lyra's parents and explains what's next. >> thursday morning the coast guard received a distress call from a sail boat. this was located 900 mi. southwest. >> a team of troopers were sent. >> from san diego, it is bought a six hour flight. >> it took professionals who parachuted down to the pacific to give our medical care. >> treating the infant was

update on baby lyra from her aunt who has been in contract with lyra's mom. sariah englsh says lyra had suddenly developed an infection and a rash during the family's trip, but is now doing better. baby lyra and the family are expected to be back in san diego in the next few days. >> she is responding to medication, the rash that she has is going away. she is a happy little one-year- old, this is wonderful nose. >>ews. >> new this morning.a pedestrian is dead after police say a driver hit him on van ness avenue near golden gate avenue. the incident happened around eleven last night in front of the mcdonalds on van ness. police say the driver has a clean record and they don't suspect the driver to be impaired. that driver did stay at the scene of the collision. police say the pedestrian was not in the crosswalk. the driver did stay of the collision.

>> a car crash in napa county killed one person sunday. the accident happened on highway 121 and highway 12 near duhig road. roads were closed for several hours. c-h-p is still investigating >> a car led concord police on a high speed chase a car through three east bay cities saturday night. they were pursuing a white cadillac believed to be responsible for ramming a patrol car friday night. the driver got away from police on friday. but officers spotted the cadillac-deville around eleven p-m saturday.and a chase ensued. this video was captured in concord.as the driver ran a red light. at one point.the driver got out of the car and escaped on foot. officials searched for over an hour.but *still could not find the driver. >> a naked teenager facing several charges after terrorizing a palo alto neighborhood by going on a violent crime spree. police say he entered two homes and assaulted three different people.

kron 4's alecia reid details the disturbing attacks he's accused of. >> he was are running around naked and hide off of narcotics. he entered a home on the 1100 block of colorado avenue through a front door. he punched someone and then he ran out. authorities say that he attacked this woman from behind and pushed her, kicked her in the head and in the stomach. she screamed for help, a neighbor came out to help and police stated that he turned on this a victim, he won in this man's house, a number of calls on one house to send officers to this area. he was spotted on a lot and when this is stated that he charged that officers and a charged him to the ground. >> this is like an episode out of cops. this guy was nuts. .

>> on welcome back. welcome bac >> it will be another nice day around the bay. warm temperatures will climb into the 80s today. here's a live look as san francisco we are clear at 57 degrees. most of the bay is currently in the '50s but it is still mild. 53 degrees for san jose and concord is at 51 degrees. here is a look at what is going on. we have an area of

high pressure sitting over us that is keeping us clear and mild. we will see warm temperatures throughout the week but mid week will start to see the high pressure breakdown. that is on to close down but for today and tomorrow into wins that we have very nice temperatures. this is perfect if you have plans outside. the temperatures should go another five to 10 degrees. if you bought yesterday was nice, today will be better. here is a look at the peninsula. a little warmer for cupertino 84 degrees f for evergreen. woman in the south, miles and comfortable, 72 degrees for richmond. you are looking at 83 degrees for livermore and 84 fairfield. >> 78 degrees for santa rosa and 76 for a bottle. 65

we're holding onto a very quick 12 minute drive time. in the richmond san rafael bridge is okay as to make your connection, so far, no hot spots or major problems. >> crews may have found a sign of missing malaysia airlines flight 370, but officials are being cautious until they know for sure what they're hearing. cnn's andrew spencer reports search equipment detected what could be an emergency beacon >> officials wanted to make one thing clear. >> we have not found the aircraft yet. >> after over a month of searching, they have their most promising lead yet. they found a located there picked up signs of what could be an emergency beacon. >> two separate signals occurred within the northern half of this area. the first

been swept away by severe flooding in mississippi. volunteers in the first responders to join dive teams searched for her. she was missing at about 8:00 p.m. sunday evening. several inches of rain caused flooding, officials said that the weather also made it difficult to find the little girl. >> legendary hollywood actor mickey rooney died over the weekend at the age of 93. rooney is known as one of the most enduring stars in show-business. over the span of his career.he appeared in over 200 films. he may be best remembered for the "the andy hardy" movie series that began in the late 30-s. he also starred in breakfast at tiffany's with audrey hepburn. rooney has been nominated for four academy awards.and won two honorary oscars. including a lifetime achievement award in 19-83. >> here is a live look outside.

field parachuted into the water and reached the boat thursday night. the crew stabilized the girl, stayed by her side and then boarded a san diego- bound navy with the family sunday morning. >> a naked 18-year-old was arrested in palo alto on friday night after a bizarre crime spree in which he allegedly attacked three people. he also charged at police and struggled with them for about a minute before they were able to handcuff him. the 18-year-old displayed several symptoms of being under the influence of drugs and had cuts on his face and body. he was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries before being taken to santa clara county jail. >> we will not get updated on the weather and traffic. >> sunshine and warm temperatures are round the bay. if you spot the weekend was a nice, today is better. here's a look at satellite and radar, clear conditions. high pressure will stay in

but they believe that this was an isolated case was still neighbors tell me that they will not rest easy until police have solved this mystery. >> in santa rosa--- a man is dead after being stopped for a traffic violation and struggling with police. this happened just after one on sunday morning. a santa rosa police officer attempted to stop a cyclist at sucher lane and nordyke avenue. police say the cyclist did not stop and led officers on a short chase. additional officers were called in and the man was halted about a block away. that's when the cyclist began to struggle with police. after being taken into custody police say the man suffered from what appeared to be a medical emergency and died in front of a home. >> they stated that it was an incident in my front yard and a person died in my yard. >> an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. sonoma county sheriff's office says the santa rosa police officer involved in

most of the defendants in the case are scheduled to be arraigned on ttomorrow. the suspended state seanator, raymond "shrimp boy" chow and twenty-seven others were indicted friday. the charges include public corruption, gun and drug traficking and a murder-for- hire plot. yee was separately charged with scheming to defraud citizens and conspiracy in the indictment. >> leland yee's legal troubles aren't the only things plaguing the california state legislature. in the last year, there have been reports of corruption with another politician-- plus illegal fundraisers and a lying conviction. now many california lawmakers are working to regain the public's trust through a wave of ethics reform proposals. it includes amending the state constitution to allow suspension without pay for lawmakers accused of corruption. one proposal bans all gifts from lobbyists and fundraisers in lobbyists' homes. and another would increase campaign finance reporting. in addition to the proposed reforms--- the state senate pro-tem president will also be doing office-by-office ethics reviews. >> environmentalists are

unhappy with squaw valley's plans for a new condominum building. the plans include almost eight hundred units and fifteen-hundred hotel rooms. those opposed to the plan say that it may block mountain views, affect traffic, and water supplies. however, the project has been endorsed by skiing champion julia mancuso and other athletes. they wrote an article in trukee's sierra sun--saying the project plans to keep the spirit of squaw valley. >> a 67-year-old van nuys man died yesterday after skiing at northstar. ski patrol responded to the rail splitter advanced ski trail and found the skier unresponsive. he was air-lifted to reno, where he died. the skier was wearing a helmet at the time. >> and the search continues-- for a bay area hiker on mount tam. that's where 33-year-old magdalena glinkowski of menlo park was last seen. these are photos of her.
