people have been arrested in a major drug-trafficking boston santa clara county. police seized drugs, weapons and thousands of dollars in laundered cash. one of those arrested is a high-ranking member of the mexican drug cartel. alvila castillo, a.k.a.n;ac charged blaco chargd with drug dealing weapons charge and money laundering. the district attorney says these men have ties to a violent mexican drug cartel and set up shop in the south bay to deal drugs in the bay area and beyond. prosecutors said the investigation was conducted in conjunction with the u.s. drug enforcement administration and began with the arrest of eight

investigators in south korea are now looking at the sunken ferry's 36- hundred tons of cargo to find out if weight contributed to the disaster. this comes as president obama spoke in south korea today. saying he can only imagine the victims' families "incredible heartbreak." most of the ferry's 29 member crew survived. 11 of them, including the captain. have been arrested for abandoning ship as the ferry sank. the u-s military says suicides among the ranks were down by more than 15 percent last year. but are on the rise among the national guard and army reserve. the overall drop gives some hope that prevention

a man out snorkeling started having trouble in the water. this happened in puako on the northern end of the big island. he was wearing a waterproof camera and you can see his struggle. luckily, some surfers nearby grabbed him just as he was about to stay under for good. they say his eyes were rolled back and that 30 more seconds, he might have died. nobody knows who the snorkeler is because the camera was found washed ashore on a beach.
