police in walnut creek searching for a man with a gun that shot two people after a concert. this happened on oak street at

8:00. a man and woman were shot in their white four door mercedes benz after the concert. the suspect fled north in a sedan. the condition of the victims is unknown. a woman was found dead in her home and police are saying it is suspicious. police found her in her home on flamingo drive. she was 39 years old. there are multiple family that live in that home including 20 children. police are investigating. neighbors heard the woman was strangled but that is not confirmed. officers showed them a pick of a middle age asian man asking if they had seen him. there are no suspects until the coroner can confirm there was a murder. we'll have more on memorial day. remembering those killed in

news. crews are working for three people after a mudslide in mesa county. it happened in callbran. 40miles east of grand junction. rescuers eased the search operations because of the ground being unstable. they will resume at noon. it is four miles long and two- and-a-half miles wide and 250 feet deep. heavy rains contributed and no structures or roads affected. >> watching hurricane amanda. looks like it is weakening. amanda's forecast is moving closer to land but weakening as mexico's meteorologistal service says and it will dredge port a va larta later in the week. anything but stormy in the bay area, we will look at your

police in santa barbara are trying to unravel the disturbing document left by elliot rogers and trying to figure out why he went on a deadly shooting rampage. paul camner has the details. >> grief, sadness and anger and emotion still running high after a rampage that kill six outside uc santa barbara. elliot roger blamed his twisted world on the cruelness of women according to his youtube video and manifestto he sent to his parents and others. he says he was frustrated because he was short and upset over his parents' divorce and he was not successful with

women. police say he killed six women and 14 others before turning the gun on himself. a friend of rogers family says the family was on a search for the son after they received an e-mail where the manifestto but the plan was under way already. he stabbed to death three men in his apartment and drove to a sorority house and opened fire. two women died there and another man was killed at a deli and then drove his car firing at people in discriminately, a neighbor says rogers talked about his plan. >> he started saying i'm going to kill those (bleep) and i remember him saying that. >> police were called to his home a month ago at the request of a relative that found his social media about killing and suicide. >> was able to put on a front as it were and convince them and obviously convinced a lot

nice start. robin has the forecast. how is it looking? >> great. we had a great week and the nice warm weather will continue again today. perfect for memorial day. a lot of folks outside having fun and picnics and barbeques and lots of outdoor activities and here is a look from satellite and radar. we are under clear, dry, warm conditions. storm track is to the north of us and that is where it will stay. that is to the north of us and will drop towards northern california and will cool the temperatures slightly and won't bring us rain and we will continue to see breezy conditions throughout the bay area this afternoon but we are fog free. take a look at this thought supersan francisco lots of sunshine and no fog. 56 there and 54 in san jose and concord you are waking up to 58. i will walk you through the partly cloudy skies and breezing conditions and nice and breezy, if you are going to the giants game be prepared but

gets around the closure. jackie is live with more on the construction and the progress that these workers are making. good morning, jackie. good morning annnie. you can see the cal tran workers right now continuing the work. they have worked 24 hours a day straight through since the closure actually started on thursday night at 9:00. in fact here is the video. i walked down to the construction site and pouring concrete over the hinges that they had to replace and they have been there for over 50 years and outdated and have to be replaced and that's why they have the four day closure over the holiday. they say they will pour about 120 yards of concrete all in all. they have one more pour to do today. i asked the construction manager out here if he thought they were on time and he said they are still looking at tomorrow morning at five a.m. as an open time for the

southbound section of 280 that has been closed since thursday night. closed to pennsylvania avenue on ramp and in the southbound direction, the problem is that there is a giants game today and that's really one of the major thorough fairs for people to get out of giants game, if you are going to memorial day. take mass transit or find another way because 280 will be closed. this is not the last closure they have. they have two others later this summer, one on the 4th of july weekend and the other one on labor day weekend. and both of those closures are going to entail the northbound side so going into san francisco so that actually may have more of an issue but as for this closure, everything is on schedule. the fingers are crossed and everybody is dotting the is and crossing the ts hoping that the roadway will be opened and traffic will flow through the

area. >> jackie, live in san francisco, mark. a story out of santa rosa where an officer is recovering from two broken legs after a woman slam in his patrol car as he what stopped for a traffic stop. the officer is not identified. he was in this car and you can see what is left. he was using his computer during a traffic stop at 8:00 in the morning and another car traveling northbound on 101 drifted in the shoulder and smashed in the parked cruiser on the passenger side. the man who was initially pull over by the chp officer, well he jumped out of his car and pulled the officer out of his mangled cruiser. chp identified the driver who slammed into the cruiser as 22- year-old rachel gar ris. drugs and alcohol have been ruled out as a factor and it doesn't appear she was speeding. and we'll take a quick look outside the bay bridge. a holiday and it looks like that based on the light traffic. we are also tracking warmer

going the getting requests to block links that some people found embarrassing, thanks to a popular ruling that say search giants have to provide the service. all search engines have to block personal information that would show up in a google search if a person requests it. google is trying to figure out how to comply with the rulings and how to figure out whether the public's right controls. 90% of online searches in europe use google. coming up. i will let you know what you can expect for your city and your memorial day celebration

bridge looks great and no delays in either direction and the same is true for the golden gate bridge and highway 101 and you can see the conditions for 101 north bound and. a quick update. southbound freeways are completely clear and no delays or congestion here. thank you, george. more crashes are now being linked to faulty ignition devices in gm vehicles. a spokesman saying the crashes at 47. gm says the number of deaths related to the problem remains at 13 but officials with the national highway safety administration say the number is higher. gm has recalled 2.6 million worldwide due to the transmission switch.

the justice department is considering whether to bring criminal charges against the automaker for how it handled the recall. arizona fire crews are making progress in controlling a wildfire burning between sedona and flagstaff. it has scorched for man 13,000 acres and 10% contained. this is video of what firefighters were facing a couple days ago as they battled the quickly moving fire and the size of the fire has grown because crews are intentionally setting fires to rob the blaze of its forest field and no homes have been destroyed. on this memorial day. americans are finding ways to serve. and one man is finding a creative way to serve. we judge a good year and that's if you have more weddings to attend than funerals. tragedy is a common occurrence. still everyone reacts differently. >> i remember i got the news
