this has been reality for the last seven days. tractors and dust, where children once played in their backyards. you see such great people and it rips your heart out. but there are still smiles hidden among this tragedy. laughter brought out by a rock star. devastating. shocked. i mean, jeff and i are from omaha, so it's close -- knew about it when it happened from family and friends around here, but to actually see it firsthand is. yeah, unbelievable. former poison frontman bret michaels left the mic at home to get dirty in pilger. the devastation here is incredible, i'm pretty emotional to get to see something like this. after touring the town, michaels and his crew focused on the hardest-hit area. i probably don't know any of them and it makes me feel grateful. lifting heavy equipment and cleaning debris -- a task these home owners couldn't do alone.
