craigslist to rent out a home. that was not his home to rent. authorities in hercules say, gino eckstein helped himself to a lockbox key. and showed this place to 4 victims who were looking to rent. the house was actually up for sale by the real owners--- who have no relation to eckstein. after asking around, one of the vicitms got suspicious. and called police. >>:when they searched the car they found all the for sale brochures that had been sitting inside the house, including the container that they were in >>:the suspect is now facing a number of charges. including residential burglary and renting property under false pretenses, right now he is being held under increased bail, because he was already out on bail from separate felony charges in another matter. >>:police in pacifica have arrested a 15-year-old girl in connection with a brush fire earlier this week. police say the girl was arrested on suspicion of arson.

that is the question some bay area parents are asking. after seeing the sex education their children may soon be getting in school. the fremont school district plans to use a new book to teach the class. but some say the book is too graphic. kron 4's j.r. stone has the story. >>: also objects are dressed in the book with your health today

they're planning on using this is teach ninth graders sex education. this book is not age appropriate. she's a schoolteacher that once taught sex ed. she does not agree with this book. it's about the push for safer sex pripet have a 13 year-old daughter i don't want her to be thinking about practicing safe sex. this is inappropriate. those with the district say they must follow state guidelines in this book is the best way to coast do so.

andrew spencer reports international organizations are teaming together, trying to put an end to the deadly outbreak. meanwhile, the public health officer for san francisco says, this region is ready for the possibility of someone unknowingly infected with the deadly ebola virus, showing up here in the bay area. while there is a concern that someone unknowingly infected could get on a plane and bring the virus to here. it's not going to make everyone else on the plane.or in the airport sick too. in fact the the doctor says, there is no cause for panic because ebola is a disease which is not easily transmittable. the san francisco department of health sent out a advisory to local clinicians wednesday.giving them specific instructions what to look out for and basic steps they can take so they don't become infected. >>: the san francisco giants in

airport officials at mineta san jose now say the woman who snuck onto a southwest airlines flight on monday blended in with another group of passengers to get past security. an aviation expert we spoke with says the airport needs to re-examine how they line people up to get through security

david pietrzak, was taken into police received a tip from a neighbor who saw him leaving a house that had been robbed. when he was arrested. police say, he was in possession of stolen goods. this is the man who is seen in this surveillance video. using a the suspect has been booked into the santa clara county jail for violation of probation, possession of stolen property and burglary. a suicidal man is in custody tonight. after a standoff with berkeley police that lasted four hours. negotiators spoke to the 28- year old man, who barricaded himself inside a storage facility on the 16-hundred block of sixth street. employees from the storage facility were evacuated, after word the man may have had a weapon. authorities then surrounded the building. and an armored vehicle was able to get close enough to the man to detain him. a d-u-i suspect is behind bars this morning after losing

control of his car and slamming into several vehicles. the driver was taking the concord avenue exit off interstate -680 around when he crashed landed into the parking lot of an infiniti car dealership. officials say. this isn't the first time there's been an accident on this off-ramp. but police say, it is not so much that the roadway is unsafe. rather people driving at unsafe speeds. >>: we have an update on the redwood city car crash. authorities have identified the highway worker who was killed tuesday. after a car veered off the road on highway- 101 in redwood city.. 24- year-old mark santos. and 63-year-old jimmie lee ballard were struck by a car on southbound highway 1-0-1. while the crews picking up litter along the roadside.

the driver is identified as 38- year- old dee di bene-detto. santos was pronounced dead at the scene. ballard is being treated in the hospital for his injuries. police are still investigating the case. >>: a 3-year-old german shepherd named max, who went missing after an attack by a pit bull in sacramento, is back home with his family. in footage captured by a passing motorist's dashboard camera, the pit bull can be seen nipping at max. at one point, the pit bull turns his aggressive toward his owner, pouncing on him and knocking him to the ground. all parties came away with only minor scrapes, but max, understandably frightened by the incident, ran away from hom and wasn't found until monday around 11 p.m. max's owner was very relieved when he found him. still ahead on the kron 4
