city officials in san francisco have decided to stop renting out a popular soccer field in the mission district. that's after video of a confrontation between adults and teens. went viral this week. in the video, tech workers argue with kids about a permit from the city which they say, gives them exclusive use of the field. yesterday, protestors gathered to stop those permits from being issued. they said the problem was about more than just a soccer game. " oc: on all fronts" the city says, the decision will go into effect immediately. meaning that from now on, adults will not be given permits for nighttime use of the field. san francisco parking control officers say, they have a very

dangerous job. and yesterday they took their demands for safer working conditions and tougher consquences for those who attack them. to the district attorney. they point to this recent case, where an officer was confronted by a driver. and ended up on the hood of her moving car. others say, they too have been physically attacked. here's what the officer looked like after the attack. he says, he has not been able to return to work. his colleagues say, this kind of violence is too common. and they believe. assaults on parking and traffic control officers should be treated as seriously. as an assault on a police officer. the famly of slain hostage misty holt-singh says, they need

answers. it has been more than three - months since she was taken hostage by stockton bank robbers. and killed while the suspects exchanged fire with police. yesterday, the family and their attorney addressed the public. they called into question the actions of the officers and the bank's security. the victim's husband says, her death has been difficult. stockton's police chief says, holt- singh was killed by at least 10- bullets fired by police officers. chief eric jones says, the department is trying to be transparent. and has commissioned a national agency to review police actions from that day. 25 years later. the bay area is remembering the 15 seconds that

contest' for the attack on 19- year old sasha fleischman. in november of last year. fleischman, who does not identify as a male or female, suffered second and third degree burns after thomas reportedly used a lighter to set fleischman's skirt on fire. thomas is scheduled to be sentenced november 14th according to the plea deal. with good behavior, he could be eligible for a modified sentence on his 18th birthday. santa clara county is implementing some new procedures for paramedics and emergency medical tecnicians. as part of its ongoing response to any local contact with the ebola virus, from now on, staffers are required to wear full- body protection. should they encounter a patient suspected of being infected with the ebola virus. paramedic thomas warford, and his e-m-s partner demonstrated for kron 4 news how they will 'suit-up'. should it become necessary. the new ebola response policy.

s-f-o. right now those arriving at sfo from international destinations are not being screened for ebola but if the state department of public health has its way, most or all of california's international airports like sfo will be added to the list sot we stand at the ready to implement any measures that are deemed appropriate sfo spokesman doug yakel says sfo has no direct flights from west africa and the number of passengers that do arrive after connecting in europe or another u.s. city is very small sot doug yakel/sfo spokesman: sfo on average sees about 250 passengers on average a year coming into this airport with those african national in their travel itinerary. by comparison jfk has about 23-thousand. so you can see other airports in the u.s. have a much higher exposure level than we do. sfo has screened before for sars and flu and international passengers arriving at sfo think expanding ebola screening is good idea sot rajeev pant/arriving at sfo:

fremont police have ended their search for a possible armed suspect. the search earlier this evening. was in the area of interstate- 880 and mowry ave. the search temporarily shutdown part of that interstate. but police belive the suspect is hist no longer in that area. he is described as an unidentified. 20 year old, black male -- five feet -eight- inches tall. one- hundred and 55 -pounds -- he is considered armed and dangerous. interstate - 880 has reopened. the c-h-p air support has been assisting in this search. police arrested the man accused of groping two young girls earlier this week. at a walmart and target in san leandro. his identity has not been released. police say, an off-duty berkeley community service officer recognized the suspect at a 7- eleven store on hesperian boulevard. detectives tracked down the suspect through cell phone pictures taken by the off-duty officer. what we do know. the suspect is 20 -years old, works at a parking garage on the peninsula. and has lived in san leandro for

determined. police say they are now investigating this case as a possible child neglect case. a jail escapee in colorado made it almost two weeks before he was finally taken back into custody. authorities say their operation to capture travis sandlin began when a stolen vehicle was spotted outside an empty home that was for sale. when they called sandlin out of the house, he tried to get away. authorities say sandlin was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries. one day earlier he reportedly sped off as officers tried to bring him in. the vice president's son was discharged from the navy reserve this year after testing positive for cocaine. hunter biden's discharge was first reported by the wall street journal. the 44-year-old lawyer and investment firm partner confirmed it in a statement. biden was commissioned as an ensign. biden says he deeply regrets his actions and that it was the honor of his life to serve in the navy. the vice president's office has not commented on the report.

kron four dot com. a san diego state student has died from meningitis. and the 18 year old death is cause for concern for the rest of the campus. 18-year-old sara stelzer had already been vaccinated prior to getting ill. she was a member of a sorority and recently attended two fraternity parties. she also attended her sister's 21st birthday party. school and county health officials are now working to notify everyone stelzer came in contact with. the university sent out an email to students about the health concern and how they're working to keep everyone safe.
