lot of upper 50s across the bay area, visibility nice, 10-mile visibility or better across the entire bay area. where do we expect to see the fog form? i took a look at temperatures and dew points, and where we see at the moment a 3-degree spread, the temperature could drop enough to meet the dew point, we're seeing that as a potential for the north bay, santa rosa down to marin county and a lot of coastal hills in marin county. we expect to see fog forming here before the morning is done. also the lower peninsula from about redwood city down through mountainview, and some portions of the santa cruz mountains, dew point and temperature are close so we'll expect fog there. the update, santa rosa, fog beginning to form as we thought it would, visibility dropping from 10 miles down to 9. that could continue to drop here as the morning progresses. we'll keep an eye on that for you. temperatures though as mark said, a cooldown today, that's the weather story for today. big time drops, noontime 60s and 50s on the map.

to continue drying toward noon and thursday afternoon. that's the system, wednesday night through thursday, not a big rainmaker, half an inch to maybe 3/4 of an inch in the north bay, with lesser amounts everywhere else. that looks like we may have a second shot at rain over the course of the weekend, we'll talk about that when we get closer. now to traffic. george, good morning. >> good morning. we're taking the ride at the bay bridge toll plaza westbound, metering lights have been activated, a good active indication of how active things are, there still isn't much of a backup even with the lights on for the westbound ride. there was a report of an incident here in this left hand fast track lane before the toll plaza, but i don't see evidence currently, no delays even if it is there. how about your ride to the san mateo bridge? 92 no problems, same for the 101, the golden gate bridge. into marin county on interstate
