so far things are not bad. i'm just getting some had word of some late construction on the nimitz freeway. could tie things up. i'll have more in a bit. >> more on the big story which is the warm up and the heat tomorrow. >> absolutely. it's beach weather all around the bay tomorrow. here's what it's like tomorrow as we take a live look outside our embarcadaro. even the temperatures are on the mild side. fog, petaluma's down to about a quarter of a mile visibility. we're seeing relatively clear conditions for the east bay and the half bay and half moon bay at 9 miles 0 disability, when the fog moved through but that has since moved on. we'll break the day down into three main parts. we picked 7 a.m. we're looking for upper 40s and mid-50s and we're pretty much in that zone right now. temperatures on the whole will

the southbound 880 ride and it's the left lane shut down because of the road work and if you can see this is starting to slow the trip here coming westbound interstate 80, and it's not the traffic leading to the bridge, although that of course is a complicating factor. but it could be that this road work which is by the way not scheduled to be picked up until 7:00 could trigger an unusual back up. we could look at the first -- first hot spot of the morning. still holding at about 16 minutes. your trip to the san mateo bridge, highway 92 starting to fill in here at the toll plaza. i wouldn't be surprised if in the next 30 minutes we see conditions really deteriorate. and the ride to the golden gate bridge still an easy trip both southbound and northbound from 101. still an easy drive time through marin county. will movado to the golden galt

still 25 minutes. and breaking news this at this hour, president suspect who's accused of killing an oakland mother is going to make his first court appearance. the 30-year-old mother of three was hit by a stray bullet right in front of her children. kron 4's will tran is live now and he's in the newsroom following the latest on the case and with the suspect. >> the mother told her two kids run for your safety and she could not protect herself. she was hit in the back of the head with a bullet. it was a gunfire between two groups. let's show you the picture of the suspect who the oakland police department actually arrested on tuesday, a day after the shooting. there it is on your screen. his name is anthony sims, 19 years old. there's the picture of the victim, 30 years old chyemil pearce. this is the location where the shots rang out. this is 4:30 monday afternoon. neighbors in that area, they heard the commotion. two women got into a shouting match. one man actually pushed one of

the women down. she left the area. sims will be in jail without bail at 9:00 he'll be in court. for days everybody was so out ranged and it's uncommon because of the fear there could be retribution, but in this case they stepped forward and helped the police department track down anthony sims. we got a chance to talk to the lieutenant of the homicide division. here's what he had to say about the case. >> every homicide is a tragedy. the woman is ushering her kids to safety, killed a few feet from her door hits a special cord with the city and the community. we were able to get information that greatly assisted up in identifying the persons responsible. >> and get this, daria. this is how they were able to

get sims. he was injured during the gun battle, nonlife-threatening injuries. they day after they went to the hospital room, arrested him. he should have make a full recovery. we'll be in court at 9:00. he's been charged with murder as well as under the influence firearm activity. back to you carria. and there was another victim in monday's gang shootout. taking a look at the scene the helicopter partnership. that teenager was injured. the high school is just a block away from where the am fight broke out. oakland unified school district says the news has been tough on students and grief counselors are available. >> as a grief counselor we continue to be discussed by the violence -- distressed by the violence, whether it's isaiah smith who was murdered this year, or whether it's a student who's currently in the hospital

who wasn't even roll -- enrolled in the school but has ties to the district. >> it has prompted tighter security around school. and police are looking for a man what tried to lure a child into his car. police now releasing a sketch but have not yet identified who the person is. will we're live if san francisco with more. mike. >> reporter: there's certainly a level of concern. san francisco police will not call this an attempted child abduction but say this is a suspicious person they would like to talk to in figuring out why he would try to lure a 10-year-old into his car as he waited at the bus stop behind me. this happened around 5:00 in the evening here at the intersection of coal and carl. once the driver pulled alongside the child police say he tried to taunt the child into getting in his car. police say fortunately the 10-year-old walked into a nearby restaurant in order to get away. this should have serve as a lesson to parents and their kids. >> parents just need to remind their children if they see

someone that makes them feel unsafe or a suspicious vehicle don't under any circumstances go inside a stranger's vehicle don't talk to strangers. stay in multiples of two at least if you can stay with friends, and make sure you get in touch with your parents and loved ones so we can get an idea of when you should be expected home san francisco police released this sketch, a white man 30 to 40 years old with slicked-back hair, medium height and weight with some facial hair. he was driving a black car possibly a toyota yaris or honda fit. they hope this serves as a teaching moment for other families. darea. still ahead we'll have a recovery update for the people in the deadly army helicopter

highway 4. no delays through the san ramon valley with 16 minutes out of walnut creek to dubland and the altamonte pass ride to 27 minutes is also still up pretty good trip. that drive time usually 10 to 15 minutes high or a typical weekday. mark. >> thank you george. now the latest on the search for the 11 soldiers and marines who's black hawk helicopter crashed in the panhandle. dense fog is hampering search crews from finding the wreckage. they have to wait until the weather can clear until they pull the wreckage from the santa rosa found. so far the army's found two of the four soldiers. two others and 7 marines are still unaccounted for. it went down in thick fog thursday night during a routine training mission at eglin air force base in florida. coming up at 6:15, already whipping up heavy rains and winds, nearly 160 miles per hour, we'll have more on the big

. welcome back to the kron 4 morning news update. one of the strongest storms to hit the south pacific in years east of australia home of about 270,000 people, the vanuate islands, cyclone pam is whipping up winds of 160 miles an hour. the storm's expected to intensify as it heads south. james has more on the latest satellite view of this storm. i'm kidding. >> i knew it was something satellite. >> from that far out. >> it is a big deal when it gets to be this hot. >> it is, yeah. we're looking at it possibly breaking some records for saturday which means it's going to be that warm especially at the beaches where we're going to be in the 70s on the peninsula beaches and santa cruz and monterrey, possibly mid-80s out at the water especially near santa cruz, so get out there and

enjoy it if your plans take you in it at that direction maybe make plans. weather wise we're looking already. that live shot at golden gate keeping an eye on the fog. it isn't impacting much of the north bay. just that stretch of 101 will be a little bit dangerous so keep your speeds probably just down a little bit. keep it safe through that part of the bay. otherwise rear we're looking at pretty good conditions. 54 in san francisco, 50 in oakland and if you can see we've got a lot more low to mid-50s and that's because we do have some clouds overhead and that's providing somewhat of a thermal blanket in the overnight hours. in terms of temperatures, this afternoon, we're looking for clouds to hang with us throughout most of the day. in the south bay we'll warm it up nicely. by about 2:00 or so, we've got 75 to 76 degrees, so it's that 2

to 4 p.m. hour that we're going to see a nice spike of temperatures. san jose being a pretty good representation throughout the santa clara valley. that's what you can enjoy. we'll look for similar conditions in the east day with 75 in antioch 74 in pleasanton, and low to mid-70s in the north bay. downtown san francisco anywhere from 68 to 70 degrees. here's your storm tracker 47 day around the bay forecast. we are looking for nice weather going into the weekend. saturday will be our nice hot point with mid-80s inland and into next week, things look pretty good, too. mild weather with maybe a chance of sprinkles sunday night. that's the weather now let's get to traffic. george. >> thanks, james. tracking a pretty good right around the bay not looking at any hot spots for the drive. let's start with a look at the bay bridge. traffic is backed up towards not

into the mccarther mays. and the san mateo bridge ride past 6:15, 6:18 is the time. we are still don't see any brake lights coming on west of the toll plaza. that bodes well. so it's a good ride, drive times are 13 minutes over to san mateo. and how about your trip here to the golden gate bridge? is trip time through marin county still under 27 minutes from novado to the bridge and into marin county via the richmond bridge, the volume picking up quickly but we're still not seeing any delay or back up. and tracking the ride through the east bay bay we'll update the east bay shore freeway time. hercules to berkeley, that's a good ride. no delays for 680. westbound looks good. we're tracking the construction on 880. should be out of the lanes in the next 20 minutes or so and your ride here for interstate 580 westbound, the heaviest traffic is still stuck out at

the east end through the altamonte pass but deliver more to dubland -- but to livermore to dubland looks good. south bay is picking up a little bit slow in the northbound 101 direction and tracking the ride through the mid-peninsula. no delays for 101 and highway 92. still an easy bay shore freeway trip. mark. all right. thank you, george. and we're following a kidnapping for ransom that start started in santa rosa and ended in modesto. police say a man was put inside a pickup truck taken to modesto and taken to the trunk of a car and the kidnappers were demanding money in exchange for his release. the victim actually freed himself and led sheriff's deputies to his kidnappers. police believe the kidnaps ing tied to an underground marijuana -- kidnapping is linked to an underground marijuana train. now the documentary featuring the pint sized super

hero is on its way to even bigger audiences. new line cinema acquired the distribution rights and the rights to turn the documentary into a narrative film. these are the scenes from the p.m. sinaquest film festival where "bat kid" starred last month. julia roberts will be the story of little miles scott who's wish to be his favorite super hero led to the entire bay area chipping in, volunteering and making it all happen. the people at new line cinema were taken with this story and they say that it shows that humanity is essentially good, not bad. can't wait to see that. >> we're all taken by that story. and more entertainment news this morning lindsay lohan on social media again for posting. >> i'm here with tanner tom son

help ap a contagious liver disease. according to the napa county health officials they've had five reported cases in the last five weeks. of two those cases involve people at latoque bank cafe and war at the westin lot. the horse of the infection is unknown -- westin hotel. there's no known customers right now. people who consumed food between february 9th and 26th may have been exposed to the hepatitis a and should have monitor health for the next 50 days. three other cases of hepatitis a, county officials say there is a chance that others may have been exposed at the hotel. >> very small chance that while they were sick, they actually potentially transmitted the virus to some of the patrons.

still working on filing your taxes. the a federal investigator says con artists are opposing as make irs agents in what's being called one of the biggest telephone scams in the agency's history. the fake agents call taxpayers saying you owe taxes and they demand payment using a prepaid debit card or a wire transfer. those who refuse are threatened with arrest, deportation, or losing their driver's license. these fake agents have already raked in more than $15 million. they've duped 3,000 people into believing that the situation is real. so far, two people in florida have been arrested in connection with the scam. officials say real irs agents usually contact you first by mail and they will never demand a credit or debit card or wire transfer. and police in santa cruz, not released images of a man who tried to break into a home of a

closer and closer to 7:00. 20 minutes now for your drive time northbound on 101 from 85 to the montegue express way. hires a look at your bay bridge ride backed up towards but not through the mccarthur mays. it was scheduled until 11:00 on 880 southbound. it will be getting out of the lanes in a couple minutes. your ride to the san mateo bridge and highway 92 is definitely slowing down, but this is not nearly as bad as a normal commute day. days this week we saw twice this bad at this early hour. for your trip to the golden gate bridge here's the ride on 101 southbound, and the volume is there, but there are no delays to the traffic and still an under 30-minute drive time down to the golden gate ridge. out of the east bay just

>> we always gear up. yes, definitely patients are much more miserable and a lot of patients are suffering and even patients that'll know this is a difficult time of year for them are having problems and so we happen been needing to step up medications for some of the patients. will in general with climate changes all of the seasons are starting earlier and in some cases they're going longer. so, i would say probably the season this year did start earlier. we do, do pollen counts, and some of the other facilities do pollen counts so we were picking up juniper and cyprus much earlier and those are the two most predominant pollens. >> there i see this thick green stuff everywhere. >> all of the places i've lived i've never seen more allergies than here in the bay area. there's so much pollen. >> everyone i know has allergies. >> live in a bubble.
