>> yeah. temperatures will be on the cooler side all because of a cold front that moved through the area. you can even see the cloud along with it. the cold front moved out but behind it a few more high clouds along with gusty conditions for winds. it will continue to stay breezy into the afternoon. here are the wind speeds right now. fairfield 23-miles from the southwest. in oakland we have winds from the northwest at 18 miles per hour. redwood city from the west at 15 miles per hour. the winds will continue to stay this why. higher gusts possible into the early afternoon. we are starting off with cloud cover which is keeping temperatures slightly on the milder side. it feels cooler. san mateo 55 and 54 for this morning. you may need to tie your hair up into a pony tail or grab the

hair spray. it will be a windy one. not just that, it will stay slightly ton cooler side with cooler air moving in. into the next hour temperatures will continue the stay into the low to mid-50s. lunch hour temperatures will warm up. it will stay that way into the early afternoon. if you're going to be along the coast plan on slightly cooler temperatures. for the bay temperatures will warm up into the mid-60s, same for the inland area. by the early afternoon temperatures will warm up for inland locations. bay area upper 60s into the afternoon now. now the cooler temperatures will continue to lasting into tomorrow along with breezy conditions, but we are talking about the possibility for rain chances. i'll let you know when to expect that coming up with your seven day forecast. let's take a quick check of traffic. it is right before the toll plaza. not seeing any delays here. you shouldn't have any delays

as you continue into san francisco this morning. a quick chick, traffic westbound and eastbound going over 92. again, traffic moving smoothly and going the speed limit. look at the golden gate bridge, over 101 i see cars out there. no delays in that region. if you're traveling northbound a very quiet commute. a look at 580 at richmond. that entrance not seeing any cars over there. again, traffic will pick up in the next hour. so we are starting off with cloud cover, breezy conditions and the breezy conditions will continue on into the afternoon along with cooler temperatures but the thing is these temperatures we should be expecting for this time of year. we have a warming trend later this week. >> all right. cool down and warm back up. thank you very much. and breaking news overnight, a man who barricaded

himself inside a of a residential building for four hours has now finally been caught. in the 400 block of lion street in the city north of the panhandle area. the man who hasn't been named just yet, they brought them out to the scene and closed off part of hay street. that man did give himself up. no one injured. the area is now back open this morning. fire destroys four homes. we have video here which broke out shortly after 9:00 last flight near vinton avenue in dublin. police were called. police say they saw smoke and flames. it took crews about 45 minutes to finally bring it under control. no one was injured but the homes are a total loss. no word yet on the cause. and now to the big news that we have been following out

of the east bay this morning. the cal soccer player who disappeared over the weekend, we learned he was hit and killed by a car on the freeway. vasquez was in l.a . at a fraternity party. this is video of police and firefighters at the scene. we have reaction now from students and faculty the loss of a popular young man. >> reporter: he was last seen leaving the fraternity house around 1:30. they say about an hour later for unknown reasons vasquez attempted to run across the eastbound lanes about a mile away from campus. he was struck bay car traveling around 60 miles per hour and pronounced dead on the scene. when he fail today make contact with family and friends he was reported missing. it wasn't until monday that authorities connected the two

and we are back. let's give you an update in the french alps. investigate verse now identified 78 sets of dna from remains recovered from that crash site. here is video of where that plane the believe today have gone down. they have set aside $300 million now to deal with any of the costs resulting from the crash that killed 150 people on board. last week they offered immediate aid up to $54,000 per passenger to the relative of victims. prosecutors believe the co- pilot locked his captain out of the cockpit and deliberately crashed the flight last tuesday. this all comes as reports are coming that his girlfriend is

pregnant. he had lengthy psychiatric care before getting his license and medical records show he had suicidal tendencies at one point. they not found a clear motive for his decision to intentionally destroy that plane. >> he was treated for suicidal tendencies years ago. german prosecutors say it was before he started his career as a pilot. they have not found any hints at his home or from speaking to his family as to what motivated the co-pilot to fly into the french alps. >> it documented him to be unable to work and to fly. these documents don't show any hint of being suicidal or being aggressive against other people. . >> his employer is not saying

will continue to stay breezy into the afternoon and into your dinner time hours. it will be breezy between 10 to 20 miles per hour with higher clouds possible. the higher cloud cover has given mild temperatures right now. san francisco 53. fremont 56. we do have upper 40s. the same for santa rosa and napa. it is making them feel a couple of degrees cooler. it will continue to feel cooler for much of the day with those winds. we'll continue on with mostly cloudy skies. along the coast it will be cooler with lower to mid-0s. temperatures will stay in the low to mid-50s. into the lunch hour temperatures will warm up a little bit more. for coast into the upper 50s. bay and inland temperatures will warm up into the mid-60s so a much milder lunch hour

shoppers. >> reporter: police and sanford officers are investigating the incident that took place last thursday morning not once, not twice but three times within the course of an hour. a woman was sitting there minding her own business and she looked over and noticed that the suspect was exposed himself. let's take video. you can see the area where this took place. you can imagine the shock of that woman being there by herself minding her own business when all of a sudden this creepy dude exposes himself. a suspect was later caught close to this area. he was eventually released. take a look at this still image provided to kron 4. this is from the security camera in the mall. he was wearing white tennis shoes, faded blue jeans and a reddish maroonish sweater.

he was carrying a pack back during the day of the incident. >> i think someone should catch him. this guy can't be going around here naked. >> he needs to be stopped. >> reporter: they say they have pretty good surveillance video they are going through frame by frame. if they ever see this guy on mall property he will be arrested. kron 4 news. >> thank you. two shooting incidents and three deaths all in the same park all in the past month. on friday a man was shot and killed. no arrests have been made in that case. two people sitting in their car were shot and killed in the parking lot of that park. police arrested two suspects in that homicide. they determined these two are not related. they are aware neighbors have concerns about safety a march for better education is happening in the

east bay later today. this afternoon there's a march and rally for teachers and state of the unions in oakland. teachers are teachers -- students in oakland. they want more spent on staff and school supplies. fbi investigators are still trying to sort out what lead to a deadly shooting of the national security agency. two men dressed as women drove a stolen suv into the gate and were fired on. one of the suspects were killed and the other was injured. an officer was also hurt in the incident. authorities not saying yet why the cross dressing men tried tonletter. tens of thousands of employees work at that site. the incident not believed at this point to be an act of terrorism. we'll let you know what comes

francisco city hall. more than 3000 people were killed and estimated 424,000 were involved in crashes involving distracted drivers. they will be stepping up enforcement throughout the month of april. increased enforcement, be careful out there. the district attorney is now launching his own inquiry. not everyone is on board. dan kerman explains. >> reporter: allegations and allegations of misconduct at the san francisco police department's dna lab. >> when law enforcement officers cross that line to the level that they have in that case it creates a problem for all of us. >> reporter: the d. e. a. will look back ten years to see if there are any irregularities and who was involved. >> we do not know how deeply it

runs. >> reporter: the allegations suggest a technician failed and went onto conduct tests improperly and issue inaccurate results, all of were missed by a supervisor. >> it could make all of the difference in the world. it is really about guilt or innocence. if you have lab proceedures the results are disasterrous. there may be thousands of cases involved by this. >> reporter: they confirm problems with the dna lab could impact as many as 1400 cases ! since we had a problem in our crime lab a few years ago and we take great pride and i'm the chief of police this is of paramount concern for me because in many cases the dna
