this is a nation that is still struggling on so many levels to cope with what happened not to mention a severe lack of aid despite the fact that so many different nations have pledged so much to nepal. aid has yet to reach these areas. we were speaking to some members. they've been helping family removes the bodies of dead. they've been helping to try to remove some of the cadavers of the livestock that's been killed and they're saying that aid is being very slow to reach this part of the country. food, aid and medical aid in the area. more dire. it is very difficult to reach this part of the country. it's entirely cut off for any sort of vehicle access. this right now is what so many people trying to deal with.

bay forecast coming up a little bit later. like to hear that four-letter word. a day of healing in baltimore. people take a step back from all the anger and tension seen over the past week. maryland's governor and other leaders are attending church services. here's video of what was billed a victory rally on saturday after six police officers were charged in the death of freddie gray. grey died last month while in custody. they're leaving the cur phi in place until early monday morning and some violaters were arrested. >> we're standing on the corner of west and pennsylvania. there's been several arrests here alone and in other parts of city. the curfew came at 10:00. most people decided to go home. there were a handful of people that decided not to. they were arrested. a bit of a dramatic scene. a man was arrested lying on the

ground. he was dragged at some point from one point to the other t. appeared that he had ingested some pepper spray. they took him away after arresting him and putting him into an ambulance and taken him for medical attention. most of other protesters who were arrested or those who decided to defie the curfew were taken in. a young lady who said she was arrested down the street. didn't want to get into the van. that went on for a little bit of time. they've taken her as well. there's half a dozen arrests here. and there were arrests in other parts of the city as well. >> that is sarah reporting for us. oakland police are on standby after destructive protests. it was part of may day activities and it was a day of peacefully protests when things

gray. he died last month while in custody. this morning our political analyst michael yokey is here. first let's get a sense of exactly what's happening in baltimore from reporters. >> we're standing on the corner of west north and pennsylvania. there's been several arrests overnight here alone and in other parts of the city. a curfew change at 10:00. most people in this area decided to go home. there were a handful of people that decided not too. they were arrested. a bit of a dramatic scene though. a man arrested lying on the ground. he was dragged from one point the loader. it also that -- some -- having difficults with that. they took him away after arresting him and presidenting him into an ambulance. en of roar protesters were --

when you talk about -- police use of force. baltimore does everything that everyone says you shouldn't do. a couple of things. they don't have any separate investigative authority. the police -- the same police who committed the same force now have investigate to themselves. >> and a lot of instances you want to have state troopers or policemen know that you missed a power. no. 2, baltimore allows the officers to refuse to speak to investigators for a peer of ten days. now as we all know, eyewitness testimony dramatically goes downward as time goes on. ten days gives a lot of time for officers to get their stories together, get together other information to present the best case. officers say they need it because they're under stress. they need it decome prezzed why

breaking news this sunday, a woman and an infant are dead this morning after an alleged drunk driver slammed into the backyard of an apartment. giving us the latest joining us by phone is officer ryan sanchez officer sanchez, thank you for joining us. were you on the scene last night when this happened? >> yes, i was. >> could you take us through what occurred last night? >> last night, we received a car regarding a vehicle into the rear of the apartment complex at 975 mare ta involving possible injuries. >> and when you arrived at the scene, what did you see? >> officers found two people

that had severe injuries and ultimately, there was a 40-year-old female and a 14 month old child >> our heart has to go out to the family of those people who lost their lives last night but special heartbreaking is the death of the 14 months old. >> absolutely, it impacts everybody involved, the entire community and the apartment complex. i know everyone was pretty involved in it and they were very emotionally traumatized with the ordeal. >> we understand two other children were hurt as well. >> yeah, there were two other children a 6-year-old and a 7-year-old who had manor injuries and transported to the hospital and treated and released. again, there is more injuries. >> what can you tell us of the

discover the champion in you! . . i've been going through a lot right now with my mom. she's been battling colon cancer. this is a tough time and a tough city. he just gives me more strength. he's always positive. greater things to come... hope and belief that god is always working for you and on your side. life changing. i can be closer to god without feeling like i'm too young for this. and it was really moving. and everybody together under one roof. what more could i ask for? i'm a college student and he really spoke to me. what god has in your future will supersede what you've seen in your past. he's inspired me to go through the right path. really energizing and rejuvenating my soul after a tough day. all you have to do is say, "god i'm an open vessel and i'm ready to receive" and he will change your perspective.
