68 degrees. we will see gradually clearing skies and then a high of # seven at around 2:00 p.m. quite a bit warmer and upper 60s and very nice conditions. if you are tailgating or having a barbecue to celebrate the warrior's game two. no major problems and we have less than 1 mile visibility. half moon bay and we are seeing areas of dense fog and airport delays for just over 30 minutes due to low visibility. we also are talking about a heat advisory for tomorrow. tomorrow, we see warming and then tomorrow, get ready. widespread 90s and even triple digits are possible. we will talk about that hot forecast coming up a little bit later, jr. >> breaking news from overnight. >> they are seriously hurt from a in fairfield.

this is just after midnight on the off ramp and they were unable to tell us if more than one vehicle was involved. no word on what caused the crash. >> only on kron 4. exclusive video of a bay area shooting. it happened yesterday morning in oakland after a brief standoff. kron 4 scott takes us what police say happened and what a witness saw. plus are still actively investigating this shooting. it is still the glass on the ground where the officers had to shoot out the windows of the suspect's bmw and all of this as one person saw the whole thing happened. she picked up the smart phone and started rolling. >> okay. >> he shot and we heard shooting. >> two shots. i heard two rounds going. >> then, two more. and it is video you will see on

kron. the smart video showing the shooting in oakland. a shooting that left the suspect dead. >> i heard them tell him. you know. we know you have a gun. and you know, we are asking you to come out. >> susan took this video from the salon on lake shore drive. it is close to where the shooting took place. >> he did not want to come out and they had a fight getting him out of of the vehicle. >> you can see several officers running across the street. >> then moments later, you can see the suspect being loaded into an ambulance. he was taken into the hospital where he would later die. >> make contact with the person and part of the investigation. what was the tactical plan. >> oakland police chief said it was a firefighter who first came in contact with the man in the silver bmw. that firefighter noticed that the man asleep inside the car

and he also noticed this gun on the passenger seat. that's when police were called out. >> we are still actively interviewing the officers involved and reviewing the footage. >> even though the suspect was shot and killed. she believes that police did everything right. >> i feel that a true group of officers were out there. and they really didn't want them to get hurt and didn't want anybody else to get hurt. >> i will keep you in my prayers. and just be strong. >> i did check with the chief. he tells me there will be three investigations into the shooting and one of those will be done by the oakland police department and the others will be done by the internal affairs division and the third will be held by the district attorney's office. the alameda district attorney. a lot to look at and hours of body cam they will be going through. very early in the

apartment building in emoryville. >> that is 40th and add line-tsh adeleine street. >> she was driving west on 40th street. and veered into an apartment building. no one else was injured. they are investigating an earlier vehicle collision where the same car may have been responsible. gun buy back event in san jose offered cash for unwanted firearms. the event was held in conjunction with national gun violence awareness day which is earlier this week. they paid out hundreds of dollars to people who brought in guns and see some of them collected here. more than 200 rifles and handguns were collected. >> for many of us. even if we don't use them. a child can't get a hold of and play with. they can't steal and so, we want to encourage, when they have the gun buy backs. it is a great way to dispose of

a woman in california is reminding us and you that you're never too old to learn. dorothy daniels is 99 years old, and now a college graduate. daniels walked across the stage this weekend to receive her diploma from college of the canyons. she was the schoolless oldest graduate ever. daniels lived through the great depression, world war ii, and the civil rights movement. she is also a proud mother some grandmother. >> grandchildren inspired me, because they were all adults

hospitals. children hurt in the crash were flown to the children's hospital in oakland for treatment. we are trying to get an update now on their condition. fire stations a across the bay area are doing their part for national cpr awareness week. according to the american heart association, sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in the u.s., as kron 4's alicia reports, administering cpr immediately can more than double a person's chance offers survival. >> reporter: a heart attack can hit at any time. now, that happens to someone in front of you, would you know what to do to help until paramedics arrived? >> no, i had no idea you could just do this by itself. >> reporter: david is referring to hands-only cpr. about 89% of people who suffered a cardiac arrestoused of a hospital died because they didn't receive help from someone nearby. many people are afraid, because they feel they may hurt the

people in den vern are still clean unafter a dangerous storm swept through the area friday and saturday. a strong thunderstorm took down trees, flooded roads, and knocked out power to homes and businesses across the city. the heavy rains caused vehicles to stall on the flooded roads, leaving drivers stranded. colorado also had several tornado's last week. the highest risk today are in the eastern part of the state.

battle with the neighbors could potentially have implications throughout the state. the fight is on between neighbors and a cell carrier trying to put 670 cell towers in russian hill. the neighbors aren't happy about it, and have appealed the process. they worry, though, about their success, because right now, a bill is making its way through the state legislature. it would make it easier for cell companies to put towers in neighbors across the state. the forecasts in russian hills say the battle is already hard enough, and certainly shouldn't be more lax. >> just seems like it's a rush, like big rush. >> just pay attention to the forecasts in russian hill who are saying we would rather not do this right now, and do something else, because doesn't seem like they are taking our opinion into account at all. in fact, they are not taking our opinion into account at all. reporter: the plan is russian hill is still in the appeal process. a woman is dead after she crashed her car into an apartment building in

emeryville. it happened near the intersection of 40th and adeline streets shortly after 9 on saturday morning. a 60-year-old woman was driving west, police say, when she veered into an apartment building. no one else was injured. police are also investigating an earlier vehicle collision on 40th street where the same car may have been responsible. an anonymous gun buy-back insurance. san jose yesterday offered cash for unwanted firearms. it was held in conjunction with national gun violence awareness day, which was earlier this week. sheriff's deputies paid out hundreds of dollars to people who brought in guns. you can see some of the guns collected here. more than 200 rifles and handguns were are collected. >> for many of us, even if we don't use them, that's a gun that aa child can't get ahold of and play with, and a gun that someone can't steal from you and use to arm someone else. it's a really great way to

$500. big news out of florida. a man is dead after a routine police transport somewhere along his 8-minute ride from the courtroom to the jail, mitchell martinez lost consciousness. as nick with our media partnership cnn explains, after being in the hospital for four days, he took a turn for the worst. >> reporter: from a courtroom to a coma, in a matter of hours. last week, mitchell martinez got into a jail transport van in florida, about three miles and 8 minutes later, in the 35- year-old is in cardiac arrest. he dies four days later. >> upon him entering the van, showed zero sign offer, distress. >> reporter: at a press conference, be the indian river sheriff said there was nothing out of the ordinary about the transfer. he defended his officer's actions. >> he was segregated into a separate, if you will call it a cell, you could call it a cell within the van. >> was absolutely no
