. happening right now day 16 in the search for two escaped prisoners. investigators are looking into a possible sighting in allegheny county near the pennsylvania border. from part nerds at cnn sarah is now following the man hunt for david sweat and richard matt.

then warm things up. by the middle of the weekend, and get ready for 100's potentially. and for the south pay, talking mid-70s. oakland a's game looks like this, mostly sunny conditions, mid-60, so it will be very pleasant, but a little breezy for the afternoon. when i come back, marty will take a look at your east pay highs a little later. >> back to the news. more side show chaos on the streets of oakland to tell you about. two of the illegal street shows took place early saturday morning. gunfire breaking out at one, and it was all caught on camera. we look at the video and how

police responded. >> frightening moments as gunshots are fired dangerously close to where he was filming. listen again. first you hear the gun cook, and then 1, 2, 3, 4 shots fired. this after a lengthy side show in oakland saturday morning. the side show spectate ores start shooting off fireworks. the crowd breaks up once they hear the sound of sirens. this was one of two side shows in oakland early saturday morning. he says when chp officers arrived, they attempted to pull over a honda accord believed to

have also been involved in the side show. officers say the driver did not stop, a brief chase broke out, ending a few miles away when the car crashed, bursting into flames. the chp saying that fortunately, despite all the chaos nobody was injured. >> oakland police tell us that 22 citations were issued, and four cars were toed away as a result of the side shows. know it secret that these illegal side shows are a big problem in the bay area. here are some more shocking examples of side shows within the last year. back in january, a weekend side show took place on i880 in oakland during the day. all lanes were blocked in one direction of the freeway. this is a video taken by a driver who was stuck in the

traffic backup. another side show took place on the golden gate bridge. now, this was back in november. the second time that it happened on the golden gate bridge. this video shows just how extreme these side shows can gets. for are chu natalie no one was hurt in eitherth of these -- fortunately, no one was hurt in either of these incidents. and the massive man shunt knot now moving after a reported sighting of the two escaped inmates. and then aen person opens fire on an east bay free way. what police dooring to track down the shooter. and coming up next, how the victims of the deadly berkeley balcony collapse will be honored today.

services were held for the victims of the tragic balcony collapse in berkeley thursday morning. ashley donaho and olivia burke were amotive those who died in the collapse. >> all of our stories will end in death. sometimes it comes when it has scarcely just bee bee gun, and this was true in the -- begun, and this was true in the case of ashley and olivia. ashley was the lone american among the victims. the others were all students from ireland. olivia and ashley were cousins. a spokesperson for the family said they would be looking into the circumstances of the tragedy. >> we'll fight to make changes so that no family will ever have to go through what we have

the manhunt for two convicted killers has shifted. new york state police are now searching for the escaped prisoners along the pennsylvania border. this report from our network partner cnn. >> reporter: new york state police now searching in allegheny county, new york, which borders pennsylvania, and is not far from where last week there were two reports of two sightings in two different towns near the border. authorities were sent to those two towns to conduct interviews, and eventually finding surveillance tape on friday, which they are now

looking at to try to enhance, to find out if it was, in fact, those two escaped inmates who were on that tape, who were sighted two times in two different border towns. police here are still actively searching, as well, going through trails and unoccupied homes that could potentially be spots where these two inmates may be hiding out, or routes that they may be using to leave town. they have not abandoned their search here, but it does seem that state police are actively searching now, and it may be two or three other towns near the border with pennsylvania. in the meantime, the investigation onen going. a corrections officer here has been placed on administrative leave. authorities not giving us many details, but we know it is a man. that individual was placed on leave, and authorities have always left open the possibility that more people were involved in this escape. let's go aheading and turn our attention to the weather if the bay area for this father's

look at video of the scene. callers say that someone in one vehicle shot at the driver, killing him, and then sending in the car into the center divide. as emily turner explains, the search is now on for whoever was behind the shooting. >> this scene shutdown highway 4 saturday afternoon left and one man dead. deputies don't know who he is, who shot him, or why, but they spent six hours working the crime scene to find out. >> the other vehicle careening across the freeway and hitting the centerrer divide. reporter: the 911 calls came in just before 3:00 p.m., and then less than 20 minutes later, the victim was declared dead. the highway shutdown, and investigation begun. the suspect or suspects are still on the loose. and the contra costa sheriff's department is now asking the public for helpful information. >> without knowing his identity, what his past is, or

darrell holloway was transporting travis boys to jail. the suspect got into the front seat of the suv and killed the officer. the prisoner escaped. >> this subject came through a port opening between the cage, which separates the front seat from the back seat, and actually shot off holloway. officer holloway put on a fight to try to get the subject to not exit the vehicle. >> now, again,ny suspect has been rearrested. officer holloway died shortly after arrives at the hospital. >> a diesel spill was discovered in san francisco bay on saturday morning, coming pouring out of a submerged boat. we look at just how much fuel was recovered and if the incident poses any threat to
