. back on kron4 weekend diesel spill in san francisco early saturday morning. it came pouring out f of a submerged boat. kron4 fell de lookdz into this. >> as you can see this 40 foot boat won't be in the sea anytime soon. nearly sung will, the u.s. coast guard says just after midnight, someone passing by the vessel smelled diesel fuel and found the boat underwater and leaking fwas. >> any amount of -- gas. >> any amount of pollution isn't a good thing. >> but thankfully only five gal ons spilled into the arena before divers contained the leak with boom, the white net around the boat. >> they also plugged the vent. >> fall can ner says the quick

spent six hours working the crime scene to find out. >> we got several calls of shots being fired from one vehicle at another and then the other vehicle ka reening across the freeway and hitting the center divide. >> the 911 calls came m just before 3 p.m. then less than 20 minutes later the victim was de clierd dead. the highway -- declared dead. the highway shut down and investigation begun. the suspect or suspects are still on the loose and the contra costa sheriff's department asking for the public's help. >> without knowing identity or what his past is, all we know is this poor guy got shot while driving on the freeway. >> in the meantime, hundreds stuck in traffic due to the closure. stretched tore miles all the way to the is a lan 0 exit, some ran out of gas on the road, others out of patience. so for an hour and ten minutes

the manhunt for two convicted killers has shifted. new york state police are now searching for the escaped prisoners along the pennsylvania border. this report from our network partner cnn. >> reporter: new york state police now searching in allegheny county, new york, which borders pennsylvania, and is not far from where last week there were two reports of two sightings in two different towns near the border. authorities were sent to those two towns to conduct interviews, and eventually finding surveillance tape on friday, which they are now

looking at to try to enhance, to find out if it was, in fact, those two escaped inmates who were on that tape, who were sighted two times in two different border towns. police here are still actively searching, as well, going through trails and unoccupied homes that could potentially be spots where these two inmates may be hiding out, or routes that they may be using to leave town. they have not abandoned their search here, but it does seem that state police are actively searching now, and it may be two or three other towns near the border with pennsylvania. in the meantime, the investigation onen going. a corrections officer here has been placed on administrative leave. authorities not giving us many details, but we know it is a man. that individual was placed on leave, and authorities have always left open the possibility that more people were involved in this escape. let's go aheading and turn our attention to the weather if the bay area for this father's
