from palo alto. a man is behind bars accused of killing five people including his young daughter inside a modesto home over the weekend. he was arrested in san jose. >> reporter: modesto police told the san jose police department to follow him or at least be on the look out for him. the reason is he has relatives in the san jose area. this happened on saturday afternoon. they went to the house in modesto for a wellness check. that's when they saw the gruesome scene. you talked about the victims, two women, three young girls ages six years or younger and we have learned that one of the victims was martinez. his name is martin martinez. it was his six month old daughter. he was arrested in san jose without incident. police are not saying how or when the victims died but we do know that whether they know it or not they're not releasing it, the motive behind the murders. at this point it appears that
