involved. but linyards' friends checked for themselves, whether a person could survive in that space. today. the family of richard linyard was shown police video. from officers' body cameras, recorded the day he died. it was an emotional moment for the man's mother. she spoke exclusively to kron 4's haaziq madyun. just prior to viewing the last moments of her son's life. >> reporter:you're here today to view the chest camera video. what are you hoping to see? "well today i'm hoping to see the video from its entirety from the beginning when they stopped the car until they found him" jessica gatewood is referring to her son richard linyard, who was found dead in a tight space between two buildings in east oaklandback on july 19th after a traffic stop and foot pursuit by opd officers. she here at opd headquarters to view videos hoping to find answers to what happened to her son.
