speaking, mostly sunny day and satellite reveals what i am talking about and in the pen ninl sul la and -- peninsula. and we are off to a sunny, most sunny day. kind of interesting with this. we see temperatures in the lower 60s along the peninsula and controlled by the ocean shore and the far east bay. still holding in the 60s. we have dry air. clear skies. it lets it do a freefall and we didn't see it in that place. in the wipe country, a little chillier. 63 going on to start. 65 happening for the bay. that will get up to the upper 60s for the afternoon. meanwhile, lower 80s happening for the far east bay. marty? >> dave, thank you. onto the news and big news we are following for you this sunday morning. bomb scare forcing evacuation of apartments. happened last night on 1600

block of robin lane. woman called police and said her husband was intoxicated and mixing chemicals to make a flash bomb. >> when they got to the scene, they could smell the chemicals. they began surevacuating the -- evacuating the surrounding area. it was shut down for three hours. they have arrested a man from concord. they are not releasing his identity. they are trying to figure out why he was trying to make a bomb. happening today. 101 in burlingamecht will be closed. so that pg&e crews can string 1500 feet of wire across the highway. they have been working nonstop to replace the tower that is knocked over by a crane friday night and that accident caused a closure of highway 101 for most of the day. now, we will take you live to the scene this morning.

this is how it looks. pg and e said they hope to have the work done by the morning so they don't disrupt the morning commute. we showed you how the closure backed up traffic for miles in the area. we spoke with one person who said they are trying to make the best of a bad situation. >> reporter: when the transmission lines came fueling on 101 in burlingame, show found herself stuck. >> couldn't go back north. all the traffic was behind us. >> reporter: hannah, who is one exit away from her home found herself trapped on 101 for close to five hours. i have get willing off of the broadway exit before everything just came to a stop. and didn't know what was going on. sitting there for awhile. and people got out of their cars and thought i would do it and figured what is going on.

>> once they figured what was going on. everyone was calmed about it. nothing we could do. >> reporter: once they realized they weren't going anywhere. they did what anyone would do, make the best of the situation. >> a band started playing right on 101. they got their instruments out. that was fun entertainment for awhile. happening right now, the search is object in san francisco for people who vandalized a church. someone broke into the st. paul tab her knackle -- tabernacle church and wrote racial slurs on the walls. it is in the bay view neighborhood. it is confined to the inside of the church. they are still looking for a suspect this morning. a body was found in a lake in santa rosa. they spotted a man in the water last night.

no serious signs of injury. the man will be released after the coroner notifies his family. the man who is accused in the murder of kate steinly is due back in court. juan lopez sanchez has pled not guilty. a ballistics expert testified that the bullet that killed him ricocheted off the cement. that indicates he was not the target and the shooting appears to be an accident. after the hearing on thursday, a judge will decide if there is enough evidence to send the case to trial. a missing hiker is found after being lost nine days in the sierra. they located him yesterday morning near a reservoir. she was hurt but we don't know how bad her injuries were. she was airlifted for evaluation. harwood had no food on water filter that allowed her to drink from a creek. >> nine days into it, you are

. michelin is recalling bf goodrich tires. side walls can rupture under severe conditions. no injuries or death have been linked to the problem. it involves several types of commercial rugged terrain tires that are made over the past year. they are used on commercial trucks, small rvs and heavy duty vans. they are sending out letters how the tires can be replaced for free. young girl is breaking down barriers and stereotypes as the newest model for gap. she is kayla kumulsky from delaware. she has down's syndrome and she sthaings her family for encouraging her. she was featured at the gap show in miami and her whom couldn't be prouder. they rocked the runway for gap and four of them were from the change of the face of beauty and kayla is one of them. >> it is busy for her.

shocked by the sudden loss of kyle. he made magic in history in his broadway debut. we send our deepest condolences to the family. >> to the family, our condolences. this is a great show to be part of and for the first african-american, he is never going to be forgotten. >> that was a.j. ross. kyle jean baptist was asked to join the cast one day after he graduated from balanced win wallace university in ohio. the school posted on its facebook page. they were incredibly saddened by the lost of one of their own. j a fan died after falling from the deck at turner field. it was the braves and the new york yankees. the man was in his early 60s and fell head first out of the stands and hit a concrete walkway on the lower deck right in front of a row of fans.

cellphone video shows medical personnel carrying the man out from the stands. he died at the hospital. police are trying to figure out how he fell. close call for a surfer in central california. eleanor dempsey said a shark almost took a bite out of her but chomped on her surf board. she waited for a wave near morrow bay and they were screaming while she swam for her life. >> guys helped me get in. and i was paddling. usually you watch behind you. there is a wave coming, hold on. i was just paddling. and i could ride the wave in on my belly. >> she was able to get back to shore unharmed. they analyzed that it was a 6-foot long white shark. the beach closed the waters for 72 hour it is and shark warning signs are posted there as well. lifeguards will be determining if a southern

california beach is safe to reopen after a 10-foot hammer head shark was seen circling kayakers. >> this was video taken from the kayakers. he was swiewming underneath near the kayakers and the shark was acting aggressively and followed them into shore. no one was injured in the incident. as a precaution, they closed a mile and a half stretch of the beach in lahoya. the giants trying to stay in the hunt for a playoff spot. they get ready with the dodgers and the a tropical storm turning to one of their all-stars to stop the losing streak. we have the highlightses coming up after the break. we are taking the live look outside as we approach the rich mobd bridge. bruteful start to the day there in the bay area. it is off the grid for the food truck party in san francisco. you can grab a bite from one of the many local food booths or

we have uniformity with the east bay to the peninsula and although a little cooler around wine country and upper 50s to be had up there. we start the day off at 63, 65 for the bay. inland. 65. by midday. we are starting to get 70s and the east bay and we get to 5:00 p.m. mostly sunny and the peninsula will hold into the mid- to upper 60s. it is # two happening inland. we will check out the forecast and summer is not done. marty. >> thank you. we have been telling you about months for the oakland raiders that may be moving south to los angeles. that hasn't been sitting very well with fans. as kron 4's jeff fierce shows us, they are making their opposition heard. >> reporter: several dozen oakland riders fans assembled to add their passion to the continuing saga of where the team might end up.

here. napa and the vallejo. and you will see in the mid- to lower 50s this morning. everybody else is checking into the 60s and in the inland locations. we go from 63 or so on the inland locations to 82 for an ultimate high. meanwhile on coast. 65. 64. upper 60s will do it and get into the mid-70s. by late this afternoon. we are looking for relaxing of the temperatures early on in the week and another spike happens. which we will discuss. >> marty? >> dave, thank you. highway 101 in burlingame will be shut down starting at 10:00 tonight. so crews can continue doing the repair work on the electrical tower that was hit by a crane friday night. this is a video of the mess after the accident friday night. force the closure of highway 101 for most of the day saturday. >> they were stuck in big back ups and pg&e hoping to have the

work done before the morning commute. what needs to be done, here is mark from pg&e. fill us in on the washing pg&e was able to do to make progress. >> we have been working all night long to get to 125-foot poles installed and ready for the work that is going to be going on later tonight which is going to be spanning wire across the freeway from those poless to transmission towers. it is extensive work and we want to make sure it is done safely. properly and as quakily as possible. >> one of the the big questions that customers are wondering about. any power issues as you do the work overnight. >> . we are not anticipating any power issues. we expect power to be going as normal and we are going to be working to make sure this is

part of robin lane was closed for three hours. they have arrested a man from concord and they are not releasing his identity. they are trying to figure out why the man was trying to make a bomb. >> happening right now. the search is on for the people who vandalized the church. they broke into the tabernacle church where they poured bleach on the pews and wrote slurs on the walls. this is in the bayview neighborhood. most of the damage was confined to the inside of the the church. a body was found at a lake in santa rosa. and a passerby spotted a man in the water last night. firefighters recovered the body of a man in his 60s. they say there was no obvious signs of injury. the man's identity will be released after the coroner notifies his family. big news we are following for you out of texas. they are trying to figure out what possibly motivated a man to shoot and kill a sheriff's
