with a second device that was detonated. the acid bomb was made with a large water bottle and capable of spraying debris 50 feet. the golf course and clubhouse were evacuated for a time. no one was injured. 49-year-old kevin horn was arrested on suspicion of building the devices. african-american churches are under fire in one west oakland neighborhood after complaints of worshipers being too loud. this morning avery harper is at pleasant grove baptist church to see how loud the church services are this morning. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. now i have heard of noise complaints at rowdy house parties and restaurants and bars and nightclubs but never one at a church. pleasant grove baptist church is a church feeling pressure in the west oakland neighborhood to capital down. they confirmed they received a formal complaint from the city

this remarkable siting on saturday. a great white shark having lunch. a group of tourist witnessing the shark attacking a seal carcus close to the dark. this is first siting of a great white assaulting prey in the area. in hawaii a surfer is recovering in the hospital after he lost his leg from a shark attack. he was helped to shore after the attack. witnesses helped him by using

his surf board leash to tie a tourniquet on his thigh. the shark was 12 feet long. his quick actions ultimately saved the surfer's life. >> he was not walking. his buddies were helping him out of the water. he was limping from what we saw. >> doctors had to amputate most of his leg. he is in stable condition in the hospital now and is in good spirits. here is a live look over the bay bridge. e sounds)

we are back on kron4 weekend. live outside golden gate bridge this time around. not much of a marine layer today compared to yesterday when it was socked. >> just the little bit you'll have. you have a bay, an ocean and path. it w-uwill be there and show u basically clear skies for the most part. that's' how we are starting the day. as soon as the sun joins we'll get typical mixing going on. we'll have a comfortable breeze. around the perimeter of the bay lower ht

mid 50s up to the north bay. 61 san francisco. new number in the far east bay mid 50s where a big warm up will be fell later on. wait until the seven-day forecast comes around. here's a contrast with numbers yesterday with the dense fog we had. couple degrees behind today we are more clearing aloft. we don't have fog working as a buffer to keep temperatures supported. cloud cover is not much of the issue today. maybe a little along the peninsula for the coastal areas. by in large mostly sunny, smooth sailing for the balance of the day. future cast let's go with temperatures. quickly 60s are out of here by noon. there is the warm up in the sacramento valley. is no as aggressive as the middle of the week. here comes 60s for the entire bay. tonight the 50s don't seem to poke you can out to much except

in the inland valleys. today along the east bay shoreline upper 70s. almeida 75. richmond 75. burkeley 76. east this is where some of the lower 80s are making themselves known a bit. san ramon 82. danville 83. walnut creek 85. we are in a warm up. see the collection of cloud cover from the south, there is tropical moisture. it will knock on our doorstep from the south. you have to throw sprinkles in tuesday night into wednesday. as we see the warm up quickly by tuesday inland valleys may pop 100. 76 at the coast looking good. dropping down with the tropical moisture i mentioned. then the question is, into next weekend will this continue with another threat of rain heading into next weekend? >> we can hope. thank you. thousands of people are packing san francisco's

waterfront for fleet week. as kron4's stanley roberts said it is too hard to find people behaving badly there. stanley is offering tips from previous years if you are planning to head to the waterfront later this morning. >> reporter: i love anything that has to do with fighter jets. since the blue angels are here in town and so are many other people. so here's the deal. if you plan on heading to fisherman's wharf here are do's and don't's. >> don't behave badly. >> reporter: enjoy the fresh seafood. don't double park to grab a bag of cookies, although i understand. do ride your bicycle but don't forget you are required to stop at all stop signs. do read the signs, especially the ones that say no pets on the beach. hey, i'm just trying to save you a ticket. don't ever count your cash in

we are back on "kron4 news weekend." let's turn to college football. stanford was off this week. they'll be taking on ucla on thursday. cal looking to start the season 6-0 taking on utah. let's go to the first quarter. here's quarterback goff to trevor davis. nice pass. 35-yard touchdown to give bears 7-3 lead. second quarter interception. the game was tied at ten. interception at the goal line. that leads to this 54-yard utah touchdown. corey butler with the catch. then later in the second quarter, goff is picked off. pass is deflected and intercepted again. in the fourth quarter with cal down by six, goff is picked off

for the fifth time. later in the quarter cal got a last chance. pass was knocked down. utah wins 30-25. goff five interceptions. cal gets the week off before traveling to southern california to take on ucla. happening today, 49ers are in new york to take on the giants. niners trying to snap the three game losing streak. giants are six point favorites. raiders taking on the denver broncos. with a win today raiders would match their entire win total for all of last year. kickoff is 1:25. let's take you outside for a live look at the golden gate bridge. not a lot of overcast compared to yesterday. that means warmer temperatures on the way. for the weekend off the grid is hosting a picnic and food truck

lets get to the temperatures. we have 60s covering the perimeter of the bay. upper 50s. in the north bay in 50s territory. we are a few degrees cooler this morning than yesterday. the fog acted as a buffer in terms of temperatures falling. san francisco 73 at noon. 73 at 2:00 p.m. winds 5 to 10. air show today temperatures 75 come 2:00 p.m. sunny. keep a breeze in there. again not as heavy as we saw from yesterday. monday's high temperatures getting warmer still. downtown san francisco looking at 80. 85 oakland. concorde pushing 92. there is more of that to come. we'll investigate the seven-day forecast as the inland valleys may see it again. in bay area news this

morning we have an update on news broke earlier this weekend. a deadly crash in freemont that killed an elderly woman friday night happened while she was crossing the street. the crash happened at freemont boulevard and sun dale drive. we spoke with witnesses who saw it in freemont. >> reporter: almost on a daily basis, malcomb crosses freemont boulevard at sun dale drive and each time he said it feels like he is taking a risk. >> people are in a rush. it is the way the intersection is designed. crosswalk comes out too quick. when pedestrian have the right of way there are too many vehicles coming this way. they don't see the pedestrian. >> reporter: the park villa apartments nearby witnessed the crash. >> an older lady was walking across the street coming this way. she had two bags of groceries. the party van came. >> reporter: and stopped at a

red light, headed south on freemont boulevard. investigators say a 77-year-old woman was still crossing the street when the light turned green. that's when the 43-year-old bus driver hit the pedal and ran the woman over. the driver wasn't immediately aware he hit anyone but later stopped and cooperated with police. >> she went down on the street. everybody came around here. you could tell it was too late. >> reporter: after 7:00 p.m. the woman passed away in the intersection. >> someone is not alive because someone is not paying attention. someone is always in a hurry. suicide barrier on the golden gate bridge is one step closer to becoming a reality. officials are look for a construction firm to build the barrier on the bridge. that project scheduled to out to bid on tuesday. a firm could be chosen as early as march. the work could start within weeks after the selection. the entire project expected to

take over three years to complete. the cost roughly $76 million. starting january 1st, eligible voters will be automatically registered when they obtain or renew their drivers license. governor brown approved the legislation making california the second state in the country to have automatic voter registration. the other state is oregon. browns announced the law and says it aims to boost california's voter turnout by registering visitors through the dmv. in november it was estimated over six million californians were not registered to vote. thousands of people crowded the national mall for the 20th anniversary of the million man march. it is meant to encourage responsibilities for people across the country. we have the recap of the peaceful march yesterday in washington, d.c.. >> for 20 years since we tried

enough money to make you detray yourself. >> reporter: he said the presidential election and the amount spent on lobbyist gifts were a farce. >> there is no government on this earth, not one, that can give the people what the people desire. >> reporter: justice organizers of the march say is a birthright of every human being. in world news, thousands of people gathering in remembrance saturday following the two deadly explosions in turkey. 95 people were killed yesterday. 250 were injured in those blasts. it happened during a peace rally in the nation's capitol. two decide bombers are believed to have caused the explosions. no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. a day of remembrance was met with protests from people who feel the government did not do enough to prevent those

two men shot and killed on the 3600 block -- police have not reliced a description of the suspect and no arrests have been made. >> >> a bomb scare to tell you about in the north bay. police have arrested a man after two homemade bombs were found at a golf course. maintenance crews found the device on the 18 atmosphere fairway at the golf club, along with a second device that had detonated already. the as id bomb was made with a large bottle water. the bomb squad detonated that device. golf club and clubhouse were evacuated. no one was injured. a man was arrested on suspicion of building that device. >> african-american churches under fire in one neighborhood after complaints of worshipers

being too loud. avery has more. >> reporter: here, members are starting to arrive, some new residents in the neighborhood said they want to keep the worship service noise down to a minimum. church officials confirmed they received a formal noise complaint from the city, though they have been holding services here for 60 years. i just spoke to a neighbor that lives directly next door. he said he has been living here for 10 years and never had a problem with the church. according to church's facebook page, they say they will continue to make joyful noise four nights church services don't begin until 11:00, but i'll be here with a noise meter to see how loud it gets.

a great white shark attacking a seal, close to the docks. the director of the local shark conservation group said this is the first recording sighting, a great white assaulting its prey in the area. >> >> in hawaii a surfer is recovering after he lost his left leg in the shark attack. he he lives on the island of aohu. withins say they helped cook by using his surf board leash to tie a town wet on his thy. the withins say the shark that bit cook was 12 feet long. authorities say the group's quick actions ultimately saved the surfer's life. >> all of his buddies were surrounding him, helping him out of the water. he is kind of limping. >> cook's doctors had to amputate most of his left leg.
