we will focus on this morning. chilly spots out there but we are seeing more 40s and 50s so not as cold as woe have been experiencing over the last week or so. a live look at the bay bridge this morning. clear skies out there and we could wake up to patchy fog and we will let you know when we see the fog developing. oakland, 49 degrees calling for a high of 69. a northwest wind 5 miles per hour and expecting lots of sunshine. temperatures right now we are seeing quite a few more 40s. look at santa rosa and napa. nevada 54 degrees for you. that's a mild reading. we haven't seen these mild readings in awhile especially from the north bay, this time yesterday you were in the low 40s. we are still seeing chilly

spots for fairfield and livermore and pleasanton and you may see the temperatures cool down as they drop through sunrise. san jose 47 and 52 in san francisco. our futurecast 4 showing us by 9:00, temperatures in the 50s and by lunchtime a good afternoon. lots of sunshine by lunch and temperatures widespread 60s across the bay area and a few spots getting to 70s by 3:00 p.m. a lot of us warmer today compared to yesterday. here are the highs. check out the numbers, upper 60s in livermore and 67 in pleasanton and antioch 67 and sunnyvale and mid 60s for downtown san francisco and the low bay low 70s in rosa and napa. they will continue before we see big changes and it looks like it will impact off of the holiday travelers for thanksgiving and we will talk about that and break down the next storm system coming up later.

here is george tracking your wednesday morning commute. how is it looking? >> fine. we are not tracking delays or problems and no hot spots. let's update the drive here around the bay as we look at the east shore freeway with 15 minute trip time for the freeways and the westbound commute from herley to berkeley and the san leandro going smoothly and in dublin no troubles here and the southbound trip towards the sanome grade is 20 minutes and southbound is free as well and so is the mid peninsula for 101 and 280. the bay bridge light trip out of the mcarthur while there may be construction for 580 west, no delays for your drive. >> happening today.

concord city workers are striking over what they say are unfair labor practices and it could impact city services that you are looking to use today. we have got city workers and police personnel claiming that the city gave work away to nonunion workers. city officials will or city offices will remain open and certain services limited, it could limit building inspections, not street sweeping or landscape be and the concord police department says the property room will remain closed. the union will be meeting with city officials and they will try to negotiate a plan and a way forward. in other bay area headlines, the f.b.i. is now investigating the graffiti found in san francisco. vandals spread this image on wall at the french american school. that image is used by a group called five% nation, an off shoot of islam. a 7 and a star and a crescent

4: 12 is the time. the traffic is nice and light here and george will give us an update but let's begin with the forecast. chilly temperatures this morning. >> and we still see readings in the low 40s and upper 30s for parts of the east bay. the big difference that the north bay where we are not seeing any low 40s out there. it does feel milder so that is a sign of the milder weather that is in place, the airmass. it will be a pretty nice afternoon. here is a live look. sfo. clear skies and patchy fog around the bay and we will keep you posted on that when it

happens. san jose good morning 47 those going for a high of 66 this afternoon and lots of sunshine and northwest winds five to ten miles per hour and clear for that evening ride home. temperatures, low 50s in san francisco, 54 in nevada. that's a mild reading for you. mid-40s in santa rosa and looking at upper 30s in fairfield and chilly for you and also chilly in pleasanton and livermore in the lower 40s. we see big changes coming this way, not for the rest of this week. things look great and next week. i want to warn you if you are making plans, a storm system coming in for tuesday, wednesday and thursday for the thanksgiving holiday. so for tuesday, increasing clouds and the possibility of rain. wednesday, widespread showers and the wind will pick up through thursday on thanksgiving day and we can still see scattered showers. a lot of folks in town those

15 minute trip time in the westbound and south from concord to walnut creek and problem free with 8 minute ride time and from your ride from highway 24 and the walnut interchange. 16 minutes to get you to dublin and the interstate 580. taking a look at the bridges. your san mateo ride. hazy there and a little fog perhaps but an easy drive, just 11 minutes for your westbound ride and your richmond bridge trip looks good with no delays at the plaza. crews are working on the commute and at bay bridge 11 minutes out of the mcarthur bay. in. >> training exercises have begun at levi stadium. we have federal, state and

local law enforcement agencies fine tuning the security plan for the game. you may remember we have kron4 like there yesterday morning. we have charles clifford reporting on the training exercises that were held there to prepare for the big game. >> >> reporter: the f.b.i. held what they are referring to as routine training exercise at levi stadium. the public was not allowed to attend the event and this was about as close as we could get. we couldn't take pictures of the exercise. this is video from the partnership with abc news. and the f.b.i. was joined by various agencies. including the santa clara police department and it involves 100 people and several helicopters. the f.b.i. says that this event was scheduled months ago and planning for the superbowl has been going on for some time. >> the whole overwhole training about the superbowl itself has been going on for more than a year. but this exercise has been in the planning stages for months. >> i also asked the special

agent if recent events in paris have influenced how they are approaching security for the superbowl. >> i would say that we constantly train. we constantly evaluate. we constantly make sure that we are incorporating the things that we have available to us including intelligence to our training. >> between now and the superbowl there will be more training exercises at levi stadium. charles clifford, kron4 news. the driver out of the bus same he was powerless trying to stop. it injured 20 people. the driver, ken malver that is hospitalized said he heard a small explosion before it began and then he lost control of the bus as it continued speak up speed. the incident remains under investigation. in. >> two men arraigned for allegedly assaulting a

minnesota vikings fan. it happened outside of levi stadium in september after a 49ers game and captured on video. the men are from hollister, felix fasharera and juan areas each arraigned on assault and alleged beating and the 3rd defendant eric martinez was arraigned in september and posted bail. the other two men face a sentence of 7 years in prison if convicted. >> now a story that first broke on kron4 news. lincoln high school students in santa jose are opening up about the inappropriate pictures shared online. police and school officials want to use this incident as a way to teach students about how to act safely online. >> a lot of girls have left school crying because of their nude pictures up on instagram. >> >> reporter: lincoln high

school cheerleader paula reyes is talking about the nude photos shared online until officials caught wind of it and intervened. >> suddenly everyone tried to repost it to get a follow on your instagram page you had to shout them out and you had to repost it so others could follow it. >> police confirmed that they arrested a 17-year-old lincoln high school student for allegedly hosting an instagram account charging him with misdemeanor distribution of child pornography. the illicit photos have been taken down and the district has notified parents urging them to talk to their kids about safe online activities. >> social media is something that happens 24/7 off campus and away from school so it was important for us to in form parents to let them know what was going on. >> students tell kron4 news the

photos went beyond what one described as nude selfies to include slurs about makeup and hygiene. >> it is terrifying to think about because it is like a lot of different people have shown up on the web site apparently. >> it didn't occur to me and we have talked about it and i talked to my son and the whole family got together concerning this issue. >> neither police nor the santa fe stick could confirm that more arrests may follow, the district confirmed that whom ever is responsible could face discipline. also making news this morning american airlines is changing its frequent flyer programs so if you are a member listen up. they are changing the way that they calculate the miles starting next year, points will be based on ticket prices instead of miles traveled. so this means flyers that rely

minutes out of san leandro. that will carry you all the way down to milpitas green on the sensors near -- means near limit speeds at this early hour. from the capitol expressway to the montague expressway is a 17 minute trip, so there is a little congestion out there, but on a typical -- as on a typical morning it would only be 14 minutes at this hour. in oakland a city council meeting was held last night to combat the sideshows in the community like you see right here on the screen were in oakland they have seen them get weaker and weaker. the participants are also getting bolder, their activity a legal.

[laughter] keep that in mind as you head out the door, but the big headline this morning is it is not as cold. that is really nice especially in the north bay. san francisco and oakland starting in the 40s and 50s right now. here's a quick look at your bus stop forecast. by 8:00 we will have 40s and 50s, by lunchtime a lot of 60s across the bay area and by 3 pm, a lot of 60s and some 70s. let's look at the visibility. we are down to less than a mile for the day. less than 2 miles in napa but you can see no disability issues for sfo and san jose airports. vince meets fairly light, all registering below 10 mi./h. here's a quick check of our satellite radar picture.

we have a quiet weather pattern the next few days, but boy, thanksgiving looking like it might be ms. i want to let you know now -- it might be a mess. the winds will increase in on thanksgiving day, more showers are possible and we could still see some windy conditions, so this will impact a lot of the travelers that will be heading out of town. i wanted to give you an early warning see you can plan ahead. here's a quick check of your highs today, boy a nice afternoon. look at the 70s and santa rosa and sonoma, low 70s all through nevada -- novato. for the rest of the bay area, look at these highs -- san francisco and san jose, upper 60s, 69 in concorde and oakland. take your dog for an extra long walk. seven-day forecast looks like this: mild weather the next few

days through friday. the weekend looks pretty good. you can steal the -- you can see it still dry. -- it is still drive. temperatures will be cooler in the upper 50s england. how is the commute checking up so far? >> it's still pretty quiet. not looking at any hotspots yet. but we will face some drive times like the hercules to berkeley trip. that is 15 minutes for the westbound 80 route, and tracking the right on the nimitz freeway still he could try time here, 14 minutes now your trip time as you head north from san leandro into downtown oakland. that means zero delays. and looking at the bridges for you, the bridge westbound problem free, it's an easy right out of the maze at 11 minutes.

overnight in france. that's as police launched a major operation targeting the men behind the paris attacks. officials say the raid came just in time because they say another terrorist attack was imminent. >> we don't know if the terror mastermind from friday's attack was found, but several have been arrested. two terror suspects were killed and seven are now in custody. one who was killed was a woman who set off a suicide bomb. >> the president of france addressed the nation in the last hour. we want to go to france and get the latest life from cnn's diane gallagher -- latest live from cnn's diane gallagher. >> reporter: we do know the rates from this morning are now over the president of france. -- they are now over. the president of france has spoken and we have learned those rates may have stopped

another terror plot here in paris. police stormed a paris suburb early wednesday morning. the target of the raid was the alleged mastermind of the paris attacks, abdelhamid abaaoud. it has not been confirmed whether he was captured or killed seeing as they were reporting from outside the apartment building when the knicks closed -- when an explosion was heard. >> reporter: because of the blasts were not immediately clear. this all happened at the site of one of the attacks from friday. the state of abdelhamid abaaoud is unknown. his brother appealed for him to turn himself in. >> i know it much be difficult -- must be difficult to watch on tv. some actions to try to find him. he must not be afraid to surrender. >> according to france's

vandals sprayed the image of the wall on the french-american school in hanes valley. you can see what they put up there, and it resembles in the name of allah. this was an image used by a group called 5% nation which is an offshoot of the nation of islam. after finding that there are heightened concerns over the terror threat to anything connected with france, even here in the bay area. the director of the council on american islamic relations feels some families are worried about how they are being perceived. >> it is -- it was clear to us immediately -- we didn't recognize it as a muslim or islamic school, and there was a sense of relief and because there's already a concern about backlash and hate crimes -- >> the graffiti was painted over in the paint -- playground has been reopened.

welcome back, we are watching severe weather ripping through parts of the us. we're looking at the damage left behind from a strong storm in washington state. classes are canceled in many places because of trees down and knocked out power. at least two people were killed when heavy winds pummeled the area yesterday afternoon. and there was also a blizzard in kansas with road -- road closures and hazardous conditions. now you're looking in arkansas, storms ripping off a roof of one building. that storm also caused flooding and a lot of businesses had to close. looks like it's a good time of year to stay in the bay area when you look at the national forecast. >> i feel bad for anyone trying to fly today as they get around for thanksgiving. here's kansas and arkansas, they have the severe weather.

thunderstorms and really strong winds still a very real threat for a large portion of the southeast us today and blizzard like conditions across the northern plains. you can see the dakotas, they have snow starting to fall. i will tell you if you're flying out we have chicago o'hare right there with two hours -- better than two hours delay for arriving flights. that may affect your travel plans if you are heading off in that direction. golden gate bridge looking pretty good with temperatures on the milder side. we do have patchy fog, five- mile visibility along the coast, san jose 9 mile visibility so general haziness but nothing too bad there. a lot of 40s and 50s today as opposed to yesterday when we saw 37 like you have there now. don't be surprised of temperatures that are in the low 40s actually drop-down and into the -- into the upper 30s

france. any has the latest. >> we have now learned that a group of terror suspects were holed up in the apartment where the suspected mastermind of the friday night rampage was believed to be hiding. french police say a woman wearing a vest detonated a bomb is heavily armed police tried to storm the apartment and she was one of the two suspects killed. the other suspect was killed by police. four officers were hurt and a police dog was killed in the raid. investigators say they were tiptop from taft call -- phone conversations, surveillance and witnesses that led them to the apartment where the suspects were hiding. meanwhile the french government says all 159 people killed in the attacks on friday -- from friday have been identified. about 100 families have been -- have come to see the bodies. many are still in critical condition this morning. french

it's not bad, a little chilly not as cold as yesterday. the dry weather will hang around for a little while. we're looking at clear conditions once again for the morning hours. the temperatures are in the 40s and 50s actually. yesterday we had more widespread 30s, we're seeing this across the bay right now. 45 in santa rosa, it's been our coldest spot in the morning. today 43 in napa, 46 in san jose, the cool spots at the moment hay peer to be pleasanton and livermore right at 40, with the potential dropping down into the upper 30s, where fairfield is right now at 37 degrees. the winds pretty calm, not a big deal for us right now, 45- mile winds in concord. we have 3-mile an hour winds in the city. only if you're in the napa valley, we have six mile visibility there. nine in the half moon became and san jose and the light haze in the air. it's not thick enough tomorrow

are starting to slow. we had an accident westbound near willow pass road and ballly road. that's what's been adding to the slope traffic bay point out to traffic. 33 minutes the drive time here and still building the drive on 680 southbound up from 8 minutes, now, to 11 minutes to highway 4 down to 680 and here at the bay bridge, there's an accident reported just west of the metering lights. that means it's before the bridge, but it's in the right- hand lane, that could slow things, but so far it's a smooth trip across the span. . >> no side show. >> people from oakland speaking out about the side shows in their neighborhoods, the side shows are nothing new, but they're getting more attention and happening often. they're getting bigger as well. this is massive side show over the weekend. 700 cars were involved.

week. we'll talk about that in my full check in a half-hour from now. to traffic now, george, good morning, what you are you seeing out there? we're seeing more slowing for the east shore freeway. here's an accident, the good news is this is not blocking the lane. it's a visual hazard. it's slowing the ride coming down from willow and the port chicago highway on 80 westbound. the overall drive time now up to 21 minutes from hercules to berkeley. it's starting to have an impact on the upper east shore freeway ride especially coming down from the bridge. and this is from highway 4 in the westbound direction, south 680 also getting slower now, as we continue to add more time to the drive for the southbound ride leading down to walnut creek and here for your ride on 680 southbound, they're slowing

basketball. >> some you wouldn't expect. it is an injury i have never seen on the court before. i've seen lots of this before. >> this is an old, sad story. an accident on the incline section of the bay bridge. and this was first reported it was down by the metering lights where there was about 20 lanes, so that wasn't a problem. but once it is up on the bridge were it's narrowed to five and you take one away, that's the problem. the accident is gone but look at the heavy traffic that remains. i think this this will stay with us through the commute and i don't think we will recover from this backup. highway 24 is backed up the hind opens hospital with a 50 minute drive time. only at this hour in the morning it might be 22 or 23 so it still the drivetime. so either take bart, stay at home or pack your patience when you had out the door. if you're heading also for interstate 80 this heading also for interstate 80 this morning, you will be slower than usual
