six people are dead and two are hurt after a series of seemingly random shootings in the city of that's about two hours east of detroit. this morning authorities have a suspect in custody. three locations. first -- a woman was shot in an apartment complex parking lot. -- she's expected to survive. then -- four hours later and 15 miles away, two people were shot and killed at a kia dealership. 15 minutes after that -- five people were shot outside a cracker barrel. four people died there, and a 14-year-old girl was seriously hurt. new this morning we are getting our first look at the suspect in the shooting. he has been identified as 45- year-old jason dalton. police say dalton has no known criminal history. investigators say at this point it appears the victims were chosen at random. another big story we are following: the weekend weather. this is a live look outside at the embarcadero. we are joined by meteorologist dave spahr.

three people, including a 9- year-old boy are recovering from their wounds following a shooting friday in vallejo. one person was killed. the victims were sitting in a parked car, in a drive-way when a gunman opened fire. this morning -- police believe kron four's philippe djegal spoke with people who live in the neighborhood where it happened. and talked to those who are still shaken up. >> reporter:an onslaught of gunfire heard two homes down from daniel sepulveda. sot- "i don't know, 45 shots or and, he hit the deck. sot- "cuz growing up out here, i know better." another neighbor says there were sepulveda says they were relentless. sot- "like 15 seconds of straight gunfire, and then there was like five seconds of quiet. and then like another barrage. like whoever did that, in my opinion was an assassination." the house walls now riddled with bullet holes. sot- "once the gunshots stopped, i walked up the street and saw the bodies." police say the gunmen sped off in a maroon sedan. sot- "just what made it odd for me, there was no "errr"

afterwords." neighbors say the man who died lived in this porter street home. at around four o'clock friday afternoon. they say he was standing under the hood of a black monte carlo parked in the driveway, performing maintenance. another man was sitting in the hopper front seat. neighbors say the shooters ran up to the house, opened fire on both. then jumped into the getaway car and took off. those same neighbors say the woman struck in the hand, and 9- year-old boy shot in the cheek were inside the home at the time. down the street with an officer towards the ambulance and so, my first thought was that's one tough little bastard." the three wounded victims were taken to hospitals, where expected to survive. all is unclear. but sepulvada and other neighbors say the car used in the shooting may have been casing this house for a while.
