the livermore valley. dress appropriately this morning. here is what you need to know about the forecast. today, still going to be nice and sunny, we look for highs in the mid 70s for more and more communities and those skies should be relatively clear this afternoon. warm tomorrow, in fact, warmer. thursday looks to be the warmest day of the week, we thought that would have been the case and dhat is proving to be true. -- that is proving to be true. highs could be upper 70s. right rain, a slight chance for the north bay mainly frieldy night but i-- friday night but i will track that, everybody else might get to enjoy. there is a shot early monday morning, right now the models are points towards 3:00 a.m. odds are it may come and go before you wake up. we will track that as well. lets get to the traffic center where robin is keeping an eye on the morning commute. it is slowing down, i am checking the richmond plaza approach, slow traffic, mostly cash lanes, it will be through the tolls and into the east end.

on the bridge, up to 101, a great ride, not bad but this is tip cecommute traffic-- typical commute traffic, i am tracking the commute out of the south bay, no major hot spots, 101 north between cockren, another stretch from south san jose heading into downtown, should pick up around 87, the guwad loupey parkway. 41 minutes morgan hill to guadalupe park way. i will check on the bay bridge, san mateo bridge and east bay slow down's. thanks, robin. at 6:31, back to breaking news, a burglary at a gun shop and stand off came to an end in the last hour. jackie is live with the details on what unfolded, actually at the police department now. >> reporter: good morning, it is all about location on this

story, a lot of moving parts to this, but lets get to the story and the video that i have from earlier this morning, according to the police department, they say around 1:50 this morning, one of their sergeants was coming out of the police department and heard an alarm going off behind the police station, looked up and saw a man on a roof climbing down, getting inside a car. he knew that location was the target master's gun shot. he called in the car, another police officer was able to pull over that car with 2 suspects inside, almost immediately. the sergeant made his way over to the target master's gun shop. at that point he saw a third suspect inside of the gun shop holding several weapons. at that point the sergeant told the suspect inside of the gun store to drop his weapons and that suspect did just that. that suspect who was inside of

that gun store couldn't get out. apparently the suspect had climbed down through the roof and the surd suspect could na-- third suspect could not get out and was stuck inside the locked gun store for several hours as the police department attempted to set up a perimeter and make sure there was no more suspects. there was one more. the 4th suspect was captured. >> the sheriff's office and our officers were clearing our public works behind the police department here, one subject actually got up and started to flea, jumped a 10-foot wall and got on the railway tracks, the police department and sheriff's office sent additional personnel to the southern part of town and were able to take the subject into custody for us. >> reporter: so all of that happened from 2:00 to about 5:00 this morning. all 4 suspects are in custody. right back there, this is the

police department. right there is that roof that the suspect was on. it is not apparent whether or not those suspects knew they were robbing a gun store, literally feet away from the police department. it was quick action from the sergeant, all 4 suspects are in custody at this point. a wild story that obviously, they will be talking about for a while here at the police department. >> sure is, i guess they didn't think about the exit plan, the 2 left behind. thanks a lot. that resolved itself this morning, good to know. in other stories, the search is on for an uber driver accused of assaulting a man at an airport thursday morning, the vishthm works at-- victim works at the airport and said the uber driver was speeding and followed him. the employee started taking pictures and the driver reportedly got out of the car and grabbed the victim by his shirt and pushed him. police say the driver is a man

in 40s driving a white mercedes-benz. >> this comes as there are a lot of questions about how safe uber drivers are in the wake of the kalamazoo shootings, 47-year-old jason dalton took out several attacks while taking passengers as an uber driver. 6 people die in the hour-lodge shooting spree. dalton admitted gunning down victims who he chose at random. 6:34, the cdc is investigating reports that the zika virus was transmitted sexually and anny hong has this. >> they are investigating 14 cases in the u.s. and several of those involve pregnant women. the cdc says the new report suggests the zika virus can be spread through sexual contact. it is confirmed, the high number would have major complications for controlling the virus which is usually spread by mosquito

bites. in all the cases, the cdc is examining women in the continental u.s., had sex with man who traveled to countries where the virus is circulated and developed systems within 2 weeks of the male partner's symptoms. the agency didn't say how many women were pregnant but reiterate people use condoms or abstain from sex after returning from these places. experts say up to 4 million people could become infected in the next year. back to you. >> thanks. trying to figure out who poisoned a horse and a dog, the horse and the dog died of that poisoning on february 10th, leslie web came home and noticed 2 horses and a dog were acting

strangely, and the next day the symptoms continued for her horse and dog, she took them to the vet but it was too late. the animals had to be put down that afternoon. veterinarians believe the animals were poisoned with oliander leaves which are deadly to many animals. leslie found several piles of suspicious cookies in the pasture where the horses live. so she believes it was in those cookies, and that is what killed them. >> they were cookies that were home made, they were about 2 and a half inches wide. full of carrot, apple, molasses, oats, something chopped up, green leafy, i can't imagine what would go through somebody's mind to put that much effort to kill somebody's horses. >> unimaginable. the sheriff's department is trying to figure who did it and

hope they can before any other animals are hurt or killed. 2 juveniles are in custody in connection with a pair of armed robberies in an east bay mall, arresting 217-year-olds at the stone ridge mall in pleasanton. 2 women were assaulted and robbed at gun point over the weekend. a vehicle was car jacked saturday, a honda pilot used during one of the armed robberies at the mall was also seen near the scene of the car jacking. police found the car jacked vehicle and took the 2 suspects into custody and are looking for a third suspect. keeping an eye on wall street. losss for the dow down over 1% with oil falling 3%. the dow is down 181 as we slide back down towards the 16,000 mark. the dow at 16,232. a woman dies after using 2 popular johnson&johnson products, we will tell you the

i want to point out the facts the winds are calm, today unlike yesterday breezy at the coast, today will be nice and mild, not looking for anything above single digit for wind speed. that will hold true until tomorrow and then it will change a bit. we have nice visibility, no fog at all. east bay, south bay, nice and clear, it is cold like i said, especially in the protected valleys like the livermore valley, 39 there. pleasanton 38. not much warmer in concord and walnut creek, 43, that is expected to drop a bit. 48 in san jose and oakland. san francisco, a little warmer at 50. by 10:00 we expect temperatures more toward the 60-degree range. that is what is showing 10:00 hour, widespread green indicates 60 degrees and the yellow comes in, that is 70 degrees, this is the snap shot for the noon lunch hour and the 70s doing a good job of filtering into the valleys and more along the bay shore line and at the coast for

some. 3:00 p.m., 70s bay area wide around the time kids are getting out of school. that should be the peek temperaturesism number 4, 73 pleasanton. 74 antioch, 75 san jose, east bay shore line, 72-75 with oakland in the 72-degree mark and 69 in san francisco with low 70s across the north bay. here is your extended outlook, thursday looks to be the warmest day this week. you can see that with nice clear skies and then clouds rolling in. the system is headd to the california coast but the high pressure ridge looks to be pushing most energy to the north but the southern edge may clip the north bay and may be a few rain drops. the weekend looks great. next shot of rain may be early monday morning, just a brief quick system, probably come and go while sleeping. lets get to traffic, robin with the commute. >> all backed up at the bay bridge, this slow down is not going anywhere any time soon, it

stretches into the maze, 580, 24, around san pablo is where it starts to jam up, off and on across the bridge to 5th. no hot spots, just a lot of commute traffic squeezing in. 27-30 minutes from the maze to downtown san francisco. i am checking 92, traffic is creeping along here, west 92, the brake lights is traffic out of hayward. it starts at the 880 south connector out of hayward and will be off and on to foster city. about a 25-minute trip from 880 to 101. i am tracking drive times and some of the lowest commutes out of the east bay and one is south 680. it is jam up leaving concord and starts back on south 242 on to 680 through concord, pleaseant hill, walnut creek, lot of heavy traffic. dublin side from the interchange, expect off and on slowing, 24 minutes is the total
