>> justine:our top story this morning is out of the east bay. an enraged mother is only talking to kron 4. after her 8- year-old son was shot in the neck in concord. police are now searching for this man, who they believe is the gunman. yesterday we broke the news that he is identified as james jarrard. police say he is armed and dangerous. right now there is a million dollar warrant for his arrest. kron four's kate cagle spoke exclusively with the victim's mother about his recovery. it's a story you will only see on kron four. "he's okay right now. he's stable. he's talkinghe's just sad he wants to come home." friday evening josh was playing in this front yard when two men got in an argument. the men are not related to the little boy but are.or at least were. family friends. in factfamily members say the suspect - james jarrard was actually aiming at his own brother when he opened fire. the bullet went through the pant leg of the intended target and ricocheted - hitting the 8 year old boy in the neck. "he has a bullet lodged in his neck that they cannot remove. he's probably going to live with it for the rest of his life." saturday police placed a million dollar warrant for the arrest of jarrardwho was already on parole for burglary. sarah knows him well.she knows it was an accidentshe just wants justice for what happened

government forces had theand we are also learning this morning about two americans killed in the terror attacks in brussels. justin and stephanie shults were a married couple from tennessee. they were hit by one of the two suicide bombs at the city's airport on tuesday. justin and stephanie had lived in brussels for about two years. justin's employer in belgium says he will be remembered as intelligent, kind and loyal. more breaking news we are following this morning police are conducting more raids in belgium. the raids are happening in brussels and two other cities. this comes after several arrests were made yesterday in connection to tuesday's deadly attacks at the brussels airport and subway station. c-n-n's jeremy roth has more on those arrests. >> reporter:and this morning we

>> justine:in bay area headlines. an odd twist along the san francisco shores. seven san francisco fire fighters doing a water rescue training exercise near lands end had to be rescued themselves after their boat capsized late yesterday morning. this is video of the overturned boat from our helicopter partnership with a-b-c-7 news. kron four's philippe djegal reports all of the crew members survived. but some had to be hospitalized. >> reporter:a 30-foot aluminimum north river rescue boat just three years old -- turned upside down in the ocean. nat- helicopter it's seven crew members tossed into the water. all of them seasoned san francisco fire fighters, who this time, were the one's being pulled out of the sea. fire department spokesperson jonathan baxter says one of the men on board was stuck in the water underneath the capsized boat for two minutes, before he was rescued. that fire fighter will spend the night in the hospital. sot- "he was concious. he came up and i grabbed him and then we just started swimming." three others were also

hospitalized, but with minor injuries. the u-s coast guard called in to help out at around 11-15 in the morning just off the shores of point lobos near lands end. sot- "at first i thought they were fisherman and they deserve what they get, and um, now that i know it was the fire department, it couldn't be any better. why? well, they're out there to learn what to do and they know what not to do now." a local street artist. sot- "i grew up surfing here. this is my backyard." colin gift snapped this photo of the capsized boat shortly after it flipped over. the fire department says its looking into the possibility that the crew ran into a rock before tipping over. bridge two people were rescued by good samaratans. two others were able to reach land themselves, the remaining three had to be pulled out of the water by the fire department. sot- "the boat wasn't designed for that many people from what i can see at this distance." the fire department says water rescue training along the coast isn't out of the ordinary. but incidents involving its own fire fighters like this is. luckily, colin says, everyone survived. sot- "so, the moral of this story? uh, don't overload a

boat." in san francisco, philippe djegal, kron four news. >> justine:the san mateo county coroners office identified a body that washed ashore in half moon bay as a 25-year-old missing man. the body of michael dwyer was found on the beach march 9th. his family reported him missing on february 29th after he had not returned home after a visit to the same beach. dwyer's jeep was still parked in the parking lot later that day. and according to the sheriff's office, a witness had seen a man enter the water and get swept out by waves. we have file video of this incident solano county sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who assaulted and robbed.two woman at gunpoint while they were hiking. yesterday afternoon near lake berryessa. around 3p-m.the victims were in the "stebbins cold canyon reserve".when a man with a gun forced the woman off the trail to a secluded area. the suspect assaulted one of the women.then demanded money from them.and then he took off. the man is described as hispanic.about 25 years old.5 feet, 6 inches tall.with short

black hair and a light mustache.wearing a burgundy shirt and black pants. bcn18:solano co.: deputies a northern california district attorney says no charges will be filed in the deadly dog mauling of a 9-year-old boy earlier this year. on january 3rd alexandria griffin-heady said she left three pit bulls alone with her younger brother in a small trailer while she went to work. when the 24-year-old returned she found her brother had been mauled to death by the three dogs. two of the dogs were actually in a secured kennel but broke out. the d-a says in order to file charges they had to find evidence that shows the sister had a clear disregard for human life.or it was predictable the pit-bulls would attack her brother. those circumstances were not met. it's easter today, and thousands of people are celebrating around the bay area. coming up. a look at how people started the

>> justine: if you are planning on taking bart to the warriors game tonight. you might want to give yourself a little extra time. bart's fremont line is closed right now. trains are not running between the san leandro and bay fair stations. the closure is for track maintenance. a free bus bridge is available for riders with no other way to get around. *but bart says that could add an extra 30 to 60 minutes to your travel time. everything should be re-opened by 4 monday morning. this is just the first of *six weekend closures that will take place between now and the middle of june. decision 2016. bernie sanders has won the hawaii democratic caucuses. the victory marks the end of a big night for the sanders campaign. the vermont senator also won caucuses in washington state and alaska. and he won by large margins. in fact, he won all three contests with more than 70- percent of the vote. and during his victory speech sanders took some time to single out his republican counter parts.calling the race for the republican nomination an embarrassment.

the next primary for both parties is in wisconsin on april 5th. but despite his big win on saturday. sanders still trails clinton by a large margin in the delegate count. clinton currently has more than 17-hundred delegates. sanders has just over a thousand. more than 23-hundred delegates are needed to clinch the nomination. 86 delegates are up for grabs in the next primary in wisconsin. the state's minimum wage could jump from 10-dollars to 15- dollars an hour. after california legislators and labor unions reached an agreement yesterday.

the specifics of the agreement have not been confirmed, but most proposals have the wage increasing about a dollar per year, for the next five years. until it reaches 15-dollars per hour. this proposal would go before the legislature as part of a minimum-wage bill. at 10-dollars an hour , california already has one of the highest minimum wages in the nation. an increase to 15-dollars would make it the highest by far, though raises are in the works in other states. after a long dealy. crab season is off to a rocky start. kron 4's alecia reid talked to fishermen in half moon bay, who are hopeful it'll be a great season. but they are still waiting to get the "ok" to start selling. natsot - with the anticipation of crab the harbor lit up again sot - coming out for some fresh crab that only the bay area can offer >> reporter:it's the first day of crab season, but fishermen at half moon bay are still standing around with their boats docked. natsot - it's not very good weather. it's nasty out there the weather's bad for crabbing. and there's still a wait to find out how much commercial buyers will pay per pound for

crab. sot - $3 is where we've been starting the last year or 2, so $3 or more is what we're expecting sample crabs are being checked right now to make sure the shells are not molten, or soft. sot - they wanna pick the meat out and see how much meat is in the shell sot - they're all you know, they're not soft bridge some guys have been out sport fishing for over a month now. check out this bad boy. he is actually of an inch larger than the legal commercial size. that's a lot of meatheavier crabs mean more money. these men haven't fished since last october. and crabbing brings in two thirds of their salary. they're not the only ones hurting. restaurants at the pier have seen a drastic drop in business last crab season. the entire town has suffered from not being able to get their local specialty. sot - they wheel it off the dock. we have the freshest crab every day, usually but not this year. we have imported but it's so hard to see our fishermen suffer.

a team of u-s-g-s geologists say they're getting closer to being able to predict landslides. kron 4's charles clifford explains how the heavy rain from earlier this month gave them one of their first opportunities to test out the new detection system. as heavy rain storms moved into california in early march, usgs geomorphologist dr. johnathan stock says a small network of ground moisture sensors set up around the bay area detected a dramatic increase in the water saturation of the ground and in the amount of water pooling above ground. two signs of a potential landslide. sot and then boom. there's that water pressure spike right there. sot in the time we have been monitoring, i don't think we have ever come this close to having shallow landslides around the bay area. alarmed, stock and his team contacted the national weather service which did issue a shallow landslide warning but fortunately the incoming storms were not as strong as predicted and the danger passed. sot no new landslides that we know

the lead >> justine:happening right now. firefighters in vallejo are investigating the cause of an overnight fire at a warehouse on north mare island. the fire broke out around 4:30 this morning. vallejo firefighters posted this picture to twitter showing the scene. the fire was on the second floor of the abandoned building. it took crews about an hour to get the fire under control. investigators are on scene this morning trying to figure out how it started. in bay area headlines. an odd twist along the san francisco shores. seven san francisco fire fighters doing a water rescue training exercise near lands end had to be rescued themselves after their boat capsized late yesterday morning. this is video of the overturned boat from our helicopter partnership with a-b-c-7 news. kron four's philippe djegal reports all of the crew members survived. but some had to be hospitalized. a 30-foot aluminimum north river rescue boat just three years old -- turned upside down in the ocean. nat- helicopter

it's seven crew members tossed into the water. all of them seasoned san francisco fire fighters, who this time, were the one's being pulled out of the sea. fire department spokesperson jonathan baxter says one of the men on board was stuck in the water underneath the capsized boat for two minutes, before he was rescued. that fire fighter will spend the night in the hospital. sot- "he was concious. he came up and i grabbed him and then we just started swimming." three others were also hospitalized, but with minor injuries. the u-s coast guard called in to help out at around 11-15 in the morning just off the shores of point lobos near lands end. sot- "at first i thought they were fisherman and they deserve what they get, and um, now that i know it was the fire department, it couldn't be any better. why? well, they're out there to learn what to do and they know what not to do now." a local street artist. sot- "i grew up surfing here.

san francisco mayor ed lee is also taking a stand against the law in north carolina. mayor lee has banned funding for all city employees traveling to that state. a suspect is in custody in the deaths of a southern california doctor, his wife and their five year old daughter. the suspect has been identified as pierre haobsh. the bodies of doctor henry han and his family were found in their santa barbara home wednesday afternoon. all three died from gunshot wounds. authorities say the suspect was a business associate of doctor han. police say money was the motive behind the shooting. robert de niro is pulling an anti-vaccine documentary from the tribeca film festival because of controversy over plans to screen the movie next month. the film, "vaxxed: from cover- up to catastrophe," examines the long-debated link between vaccines and autism. in a statement, de niro says after careful review " we do not believe it contributes to or furthers the discussion i had hoped for." de niro,a co-founder of the tribeca film festival, has a child with autism.
